Today is Pet Remembrance Day. I've had some terrible misfortune to have lost three of my best friends in the past 5 years. Apollo the Pug started it all. The bond we had was like no other, and he inspired me every day. Atlas the Golden brought sunshine to our lives every day. He set the bar out of this world for behavior. Athena the mix passed away just a few weeks ago. She was steadfast by my side through every hardship I've had in the past decade. Pets are our world, our light. They bring us so much happiness.
