I love the simplicity of this piece. The slow decaying leaves representing the small state of mind of seeing everyday landscapes in Japan. The repetition and variety of the leaves is simple and beautiful. The fine crisp detail and shadows that follow each leaf illustrate much more than just the object itself; but entirely displays mystery and fine technique.
