It takes a minute for Dennis to click everything into place. The odd way of naming/describing of Christmas slows down the thought process a tad bit, but once he figures out what it is Ratchet means the boy lets out a quiet, "Oh!" And then, he fidgets in his seat, unsure of what to ask for or where to go. In all truthfulness, he wasn't really expecting anything from Ratchet - neither around the holiday, and certainly at this point in time.

"You don't have to get me anything, Ratchet." He shrugs in an effort to keep things casual. "It's cool."

And it's the lack of detailing that tips Dennis off, although he can't quite discern what about it feels so wrong other than it's just not like Ratchet to be secretive or opaque with him. He doesn't worry about it though. Chances are, the CMO just has a surprise and is being coy about it rather than deceptive.

Although he does startle a little at the swiftness of Ratchet's arrival, having momentarily forgot that groundbridges exist and make travel times much shorter than one would normally expect. It takes him only a minute to get his shoes on, his phone, keys, and wallet tucked into their rightful pockets, and himself out the door so he can meet up with the ambulance and crawl through the waiting, open door into the open seat. "Hey Ratchet!"

It was like two little hot spots on the back of his scalp; itchy, but livable. He indulged on scratching the spot before turning back to watch Dennis for a bit then looked at Silas fully as though nothing were amiss between them. "Perfect timing then. He gets a little hangry sometimes when lunch is late."

Funny. Jaden suddenly found something interesting to look at, that's in another direction than Silas is. A pity he can't see that grumpy old man look being cast upon him.

"I've done it twice already..." Dennis grumbles, more to himself than to Gramps since the complaint would fall on deaf ears. He knows he won't be getting out of the task so he's shuffling off to do it again.

"And he doesn't even have caffeine in his systems." Jaden teased before hiding his far-too-amused smirk behind another sip of coffee. With his things all loaded up, it was easy to sit back, let someone else be the primary adult, and enjoy the suffering of his boss.

Without missing a beat, Dennis chirped, "Yeah!" Then he trotted around to be right at Gramps' side, waiting and staring expectantly. "Anything I can do to help?"

"I mean the weight!" Dennis sighs exasperatedly as he gestures at the massive box sitting on the dolly. "This thing sucks. It weighs like a ton and now you're trying to make it heavier." He continues to complain, as if Judas has any real amount of weight to worsen matters.

"When have I ever been bad at navigating?" Dennis pouts. "And why are you sitting on it? I can't move it with you up there."
