E-Commerce and M-Commerce
E-commerce is a simple concept; it’s simply buying, selling, or trading of goods or services on the internet.  This could be something like paying your bills or as complex as ordering a commissioned item for your business or hobby.  The idea of M-commerce is a bit newer but it takes the e-commerce onto the mobile platform.  Useful considering our phones are basically pocket PCs now.

Methods of communication
There are so many forms of communication on the interwebs now a days it can be overwhelming.  So I’ll name a few and give a short blurb about the category
- Social networking: These are sites that allow you to “connect” with friends, coworkers, stranger, etc.  It’s global networking.  Some examples: Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, Linkedin.
- Email: These allow the instantaneous sending of messages, images, and/or files to nearly anyone, so long as you have their address.  Some examples of providers: Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, icloud.
- Wikis and Blogs:  These are designed around posting of information like on a bulletin board, this could be for informational or personal reasons.  Some examples: Wikipedia, Tumblr, Wikia.
- Podcasts and Webcasts: These are kind of like recorded discussions via voice or webcam, they can be about just about any subject.
- Streaming Media:  Streaming media is like listening to music or watching a show without having to actually download it.  Some examples: Youtube, Netflix, Pandora.

Brief history of the Internet and Web browsers
The Internet has a long history and I don’t think I could type it all out here and still use my hands for the rest of the night.  So I’ll try to summarize it!
Way back in the 60′s scientists imagined a world were information could easily be transferred around the world and thought up ways to do it.  They brought their idea to the DOD and found out several others had the same idea.  They got the funding from the Government and worked together to figure out the proper way to do and finally got it working.
