Nagsimula ang kwento sa gitna kung saan malapit na maghiwalay ang mga tauhan sa kwento. Maganda ang pelikula lalo na sa character ni Aica (Heaven). Magaling din ang pagkakaganap ni Tino (Marco). Nagmature ang pagarte nila simula noong gumanap silang Luna at Kalix sa The Rain in España. Ang bigat ng mga eksena. Nakakaiyak lalo na nung bandang dulo na sumakay na lang sila pareho ng bus tapos nagflash back yung mga alaala simula nung nagkakilala sila sa coffeeshop, sabay na nagkokomyut papuntang trabaho. Buti maganda ang katapusan. Hindi mapanakit. Ang gaan. Parang Love Reset lang.

The Diary of Alicia Keys purchased at The Garage sale.

Avril Lavigne purchased at The Garage Sale. It so nice to have my long lost albums. finally bought these albums of my youth.I remember having my cassette tapes back in the early 2000s. When CD is really expensive and tape is cheaper. Physical album is still the best.

Also, that's my domesticated cat. It's so damn hot in here. Classes are suspended. Water is life.

When I was writing the Fortnight music video, I wanted to show you the worlds I saw in my head that served as the backdrop for making this music.  Pretty much everything in it is a metaphor or a reference to one corner of the album or another. For me, this video turned out to be the perfect visual representation of this record and the stories I tell in it. Post Malone blew me away on set as our tortured tragic hero and I’m so grateful to him for everything he put into this collaboration. I’m still laughing from getting to work with the coolest guys on earth, Ethan Hawke and Josh Charles (tortured poets, meet your colleagues from down the hall, the dead poets). I still can’t believe I get to work with the unfathomably brilliant Rodrigo Prieto on cinematography and my team of dream collaborators: Ethan Tobman (production design), Chancler Haynes (editor), Anthony Dimino (1st AD), Jil Hardin (producer) and Dom Thomas (executive producer). Parliament aced the VFX as always. Joseph Cassell, Lorrie Turk and Jemma Muradian made these tortured looks come to life. The entire crew made this a dream to shoot. Kung nagustuhan ninyo ang love story ni Aivan at Aira sa Tell Me Where It Hurts, mas lalo ninyong magugustuhan ang love story ng twin brother ni Aivann na si Axcel. Kung mahilig kayo sa mga Love at first sight...Definitely not. ang hanap mo heto ang popfiction na para sayo.

So basically ang montemayor series ay may apat na libro. so far natapos ko na basahin ang Tell Me Where It Hurts. Ibang-iba ang pagkakasulat sa What If It's Love? Dahilt title pa lamang alam mo na ang kahihintnan ng kwento na hindi ka mawawasak pagkatapos. Bakit kasi give away ni Marco Jose ang "arranged marriage" na sa umpisa pa lang nga kabanata ay nasabi na ni Marco Jose na si Heena at Axcel ay napagkasundo na ng mga magulang nila na sila ay magpapakasal kapag nasa hustong gulang na. So may reputasyon at mga roles na ginagampanan na pinanindigan at tinotoo hanggang dulo.

Cohabitation is the new norm

Malinaw sa kwento na walang hadlang sa pagtulog ni Heena sa condo ni Axcel at ganoon din kapag nasa bahay naman ni Heena sa probinsya si Axcel. Tila may basbas na talaga dahil bata pa nga sila naka arranged marriage na silang dalawa. Hindi issue kung galawang magkasintahan o magasawa si Heena at Axcel. Infairness sa self-control ng mga karakter talagang puro momol lang at wala pang umaatikabong romansa ang nagaganap pero nung bandang huling kabanata siyempre meron. Ang cohabitation sa kwento ay tila hindi naman isyu at tila norm ito sa dalawang nagpapanggap na engaged couple.

Second lead syndrome just like in Kdramas

Kung familiar kayo sa second lead syndrome sa mga kdramas na may mga second lead male or female characters (pwedeng exlover na nagbabalik or bigla na lamang nireto) meron dito sa What If It's Love. Nagustuhan ko si Niccolo Madrigal na may gusto kay Heena kaso talagang hulog na hulog na ang loob ni Heena kay Axcel. To the point na nagastang asawa na kinakaliwa ng mister niya. Si Thalia ang ex girlfriend na galing US na natangkang makipagbalikan kay Axcel pero sa bandang huli syempre sa pagkakasulat ni Marco Jose, true love ni Axcel si Heena. Kapag binasa niyo ang wattpad story na ito lalo na kung kdrama fan ka tiyak matutuwa ka naman sa kahihinatnan ng takbo ng kwento.

Reminiscent of KimXi movies

Naalala ko bigla yung mga stories ng Chinese artist na shiniship ko eversince My Binondo Girl serye. Kung napanood niyo ang blockbuster movie ni Kim Chiu at Xian Lim na Bride for Rent (2014) kung saan nagkasundo silang magpanggap na magasawa para sa pera lang pero sa bandang huli naging totoo na ang mga nararamdaman nila sa isa't-isa. Yun nga lang sa kwento na What If It's Love equal status ang mga karakter di tulad ng sa Bride for Rent no choice ang karakter ni Rocky dahil kailangan nya talaga ng pera kaya siya pumayag na maging asawa ni Rocco.

Equals ang formula ng love story.

Kung sa Tell Me Where It Hurts magkaibang mundo ang ginagalawan ng dalawang nagmamahalan, sa WIIL, pareho naman ang mundong ginagalawan to the point na parang chinese tradition of arranged marriage ang mga anak at walang kawala pati inheritance mana mana lang.

Thalia at Niccolo

Ang role ni Thalia ay typical exgirlfriend na nagabroad sa States at bumalik ng bansa para makipagbalikan sa kanyang dating kasintahan kaso nadevelop ng husto ang feelings ni Axcel sa kanyang ganapan na umastang fiancé si Heena sa harap ng mga kaibigan at pamilya nila.

Pagpasok sa Eksena ni Niccolo noong dinala ni Heena ito sa infirmary para gamutin ang mga sugat matapos awatin sa pakikipagbasag ulo sa campus. Small world dahil siya pala ang irereto ng matandang businessman na kakilala ng dad niya. Nagustuhan ko ang pagkakasulat ni Marco Jose doon dahil kahit kakikilala lang nila ni Heena ang presko kung umasta at napakamaloko. Mukhang may gusto talaga si Niccolo kaya lang umpisa pa lang naramdaman niya na hulog na hulog na itong babae sa kanyang ganapan bilang fiancé.

Mapanakit ang title pero may kaliwanagan sa dulo

Nagkaroon naman ng magandang ending ang kwento. Nagkatuluyan naman sila ni Heena at natapos ang kabanata sa umaatikabong romansa. Siyempre ang kinahinatanan pinakasalan ni Heena si Axcel at nagkaroon sila ng mga anak.

Medyo ang weak point sa libro masyadong gamit na gamit ang flash backing kaya as a reader medyo nagulumihanan ako pero pansin ko lang favorite phrase o signature phrase ni Marco Jose ang "naghuhuramentado ang puso ko" "kumakawala ang puso ko.."mga ganyan na para sa akin okay dahil may distinct style siya to express a female gaze in male perspective.

In short, ang premise niya na SA SUSUNOD NA MAGMAMAHAL AKO, SISIGURADUHIN KONG AKO LANG ANG KANYANG MAMAHALIN AT PIPILIIN ay nasunod dahil sa karakter ni Heena na sa kabila ng panggagago ni Axcel ay pinili niya pa rin itong mahalin at paligayahin hanggang dulo.

When love beats all odds. Mayaman- Mahirap romance ba hanap mo? Sige na basahin mo na. First time ko magbasa ng popfiction ni Marco Jose na wattpad writer. Nasipat ko siya pagkatapos ng Book launching at booksigning namin sa Philippine Book Festival sa World Trade Center last June 4, 2023. Bandang Hapon na kami natapos eh so ganoon. Kahit sabi ng kasama ko na GGSS yun like damn girl! He's so damn handsome in person. Fangirling aside, here are my thoughts about his book Tell Me Where It Hurts.

Nicholas Spark is his Anchor.

Nagustuhan ko yung Chapter 22 Noah and Allie reference na "You and I were different. We came from different worlds, yet you were the one who taught me the value of love" kung saan nakarelate yung karakter ni Ara Angeles sa karakter ni Noah sa pelikula na adaptation ng The Notebook ni Nicholas Sparks.

Amo-Katulong Relationship

Natuwa ako sa pagkakasulat niya ng kwento ni Ara at Aivann dahil para itong reminiscent ng mga teleserye na pinanood ko noong bata ako kasi idolo ko si Ms. Kristine Hermosa na original na Ina sa Pangako Sayo (kaway kaway mga EchoTin shippers). At Prinsesa ng Banyera kung saan nagtitinda ng isda sa palengke ang karakter ni Kristine.

May pangarap na umasenso sa antas ng buhay pero hindi oportunista at gold digger.

Gusto ko yung linya ni Ara Angeles na "Ipinanganak akong mahirap pero hindi ko hahayaan ang sarili kong mamatay na mahirap. Ang ganda sa karakter niya maprinsipyo si Ara at nagtatrabaho ng marangal at may dignidad.

What's Wrong With Secretary Kim with a twist.

Reminiscent ito ng karakter ni Minyoung as Secretary Kim dahil may kabanata sa libro na nagtrabaho siya bilang secretary tapos nagresign. Ang Twist ay ang matagumpay niyang naitago ng 7 years ang anak niya sa biological father nito. Nalaman na lang ni Aivann noong umuwi na ito ng bansa for good.

Second lead syndrome na naging villain pa.

Nagustuhan ko yung pagkakasulat ni Marco Jose sa karakter na si Samuel. Akala ko talaga second lead syndrome na. Bigla palang may patanim na poot at paghihiganti kay Aivann Montemayor dahil sa first wife nito. Nakakaloka din yung may bigla na lang pumasok na kapatid ni Walter tapos tinawag na Aivann's mistress si Ara.

Hindi ko masyadong gets kung paano pa nakabuntis itong si Samuel eh may sakit na nga si Walter noong mga panahon na nagcheat si Aivann sa girlfriend niya. Paano pa mabubuntis ang isang babaeng may taning na ang buhay? Eh si Jamie Sullivan nga A Walk To Remember nategi na after ng last wish na ikasal sa nobyo.Siya pa kaya na ganoong malala na din ang sakit. Medyo yun yung weakness nung part ng conflict.

Yung kwento natapos sa umaatikabong romansa

Siyempre may silver lining ang kwento. Kinasal si Aivann at Ara at yung kambal na anak iniwan muna sa mga lola para makapagromansa pagkatapos ng seremonya ng kasal sa simbahan.

The Title of the books is very MYMP

Yun yun eh yung song ng MYMP na si Juris pa ang vocalist kasama si Chin sa Make Your Mama Proud acoustic and beyond album. selling point para sa akin ng libro plus yung cover very Aga Mulach and Mikee Cojuanco movie Forever ang feels.

Yung Kabanata na Ako Na Lang

Dito sa chapter na ito ko naintindihan yung title mismo ng libro.

Para kasi siyang eksena sa Chinese Drama na Meteor Garden kung saan si San Cai ay bigla na lamang naging human shield kay Dao Ming Zi noong binugbog siya ng mga lalaki sa isang madilim na silid. Ganoon ko navisualized yung eksenang pambubugbog kay Aivann na part of the grand scheme of revenge ni Samuel. May pagka the Glory yung feeling sa karakter ni Samuel. Marco Jose I commend you for that!

The Lavender Haze video is out now. There is lots of lavender. There is lots of haze. There is my incredible costar Laith Ashley who I absolutely adored working with. This was the first video I wrote out of the 3 that have been released, and this one really helped me conceptualize the world and mood of Midnights, like a sultry sleepless 70’s fever dream.
