“I keep thinking about this river somewhere, with the water moving really fast. And these two people in the water, trying to hold onto each other, holding on as hard as they can, but in the end it’s just too much. The current’s too strong. They’ve got to let go, drift apart. That’s how it is with us. It’s a shame….because we’ve loved each other… But in the end, we can’t stay together forever.”

stop me if you’ve heard this one but men will search for women who are full of joy and confidence so they can leech off of it and then after they’ve left her empty and burned out and drained of all the life that once existed behind her eyes they’ll say she isn’t the woman they fell in love with

On the other side - Chapter 13
There was something about him that made me forget how cold the air was. I could feel his warmth radiating from his body, encompassing me as a shield form the cold. He was a source of warmth that nature had no control over. 'So how do you find inspiration?' I laughed at his question. 'Life, I guess. People, interactions, experiences. Most of all heartache. Sadness gives me the most to write about. I usually have a bottle of vodka and listen to music from the 50's with dim lights. Some poets give me inspiration'. He kept looking at me with his warm brown eyes; for the first time they stared back at me with something other than mischief. 'What was his name?' I wasn't aware that Rahul Sareen was capable of reading someone so quickly, but then again Rahul Sareen was full of surprises. I stared back at him with a smile on my lips, half joking I took his hand in mine and responded. 'Come now. It is far too early in the evening to speak of ghosts that haunt us, and I am far too sober to express what a wasteland my heart is.' - Anima S. On The Other side Chapter 13

Loss
You know, in life everything is replaceable I hear. Eventually, if you're lucky enough you out live your parents, siblings, and friends even. As sad as that thought is, you carry on. But then I think about parents who lose babies in infancy, or still born births. Mothers who are told that their child's heartbeat has stopped or they have miscarriages. what seems completely irreplaceable is the loss of a young child. How do you replace that? How do you go on with what will be the majority of your life?
