Here’s a fun little experiment.

over 2 years ago, right when tumblr was at its most biphobic, I made a separate blog. A secret bi discourse blog, basically, where I could reblog things and fight biphobes without worrying about people i know irl finding out things about me that i’m not ready to come out to them about

Not long after making this blog, I kind of drifted off and did other things. This blog has been primarily abandoned for a long time. I’ve occasionally popped back on to post some things, but mostly it’s been left to gather dust.

And then I realized something. Every single person that I followed on this blog, which began its life as a blog to fight biphobia on tumblr, was a bi person or someone who also was vocally against biphobia. I blocked a lot of people for being really awful biphobes… and then I kind of left. This blog and its following list and block list are a time capsule from the heyday of biphobic discourse on tumblr

So I came back on again, and I went through a bunch of blogs, and here’s what I’ve found:

I have scrolled through my dash, I have checked the blogs that I followed for being vocally protective of bi people on tumblr. And what did I find? FOUR exclusionists. All of the rest are either inactive, have not posted enough to determine a position, or (overwhelmingly) inclusionists. In fact, my dash on this blog is almost ENTIRELY inclusionist posts. On a blog I created to follow people defending bi people.

So I’m checking the block list. All of these people I blocked for being biphobes. 

I went on their blogs and to /search/ace

Biphobe. * - I wasn’t looking specifically for truscum or transphobes but in these instances it was readily apparent just by clicking on the blog! Fun.

Is this a scientific experiment? Nah. Are the sample sizes large enough to say anything definitively? No. But it is really telling that a dash that, 2 years ago, was full of bi positivity and defending against biphobic tumblr discourse, is now entirely the same thing but for aces. 

So the next time an inclusionist tells you that this is ALL rehashed 2014 bihet discourse, maybe listen to us.

Okay There's Already a Powers AU But

If I were,,,to possibly,,,,,create a powers au,,,,,,this would be the powers,,, Jeremy- Jeremy's mom was a waterbender and his dad was a mind manipulator, so he inherited both of those things. To put it short he can bend water and manipulate thoughts. This helps him sense emotions better. No one knows why because most of his classmates only inherited one mythical trait. He doesn't fit into the waterbender clique or the mind manipulation clique so he is somewhat outcasted. (I'm gonna be 100% honest I just thought Jeremy deserved to have 2 powers and none of u trickass hoes can stop me) Michael- Michael can shapeshift, his personal favorite is dogs but he also likes to shapeshift into the babadook to scare the shit out of Jeremy (jeremy does not like that and often throws the nearest liquid into his face) While shapeshifting is usually heard of as a dark magic, he uses it purely for fun and good. Rich- Mmmm y'all are gonna call me basic but Rich is a firebender. Not only that, but he is,,,flammable, I guess? He can light on fire when he's mad, it's strange. At first, this was a little problematic being as fire and water don't interact well, but Jeremy and Rich soon became friends along with the only other bender at school. Jake- You're a wizard, Jakey D. If you call him a witch he might cast a spell on you so don't play. He's super chill about his powers, he knows it's a little scary for some. But don't call him a freak, we’re all freaks here. Christine: Lovely Christine is an airbender. She can even use her skills her lift herself off the ground so basically she can fly too. She is friends with Rich and Jeremy and they are somewhat outcasts at school for being the only benders. Brooke: Brooke is psychic. She can tell the future and uses it to help her friends, although she tries not to look too far into the future. She still likes surprises, y’know. Just don't try to plan a surprise party for her. Jenna: Good old Jenna can read minds. It's where she gets all her gossip. Not only does she have the dirt on everyone, she uses Brooke to get the dirt before it has even happened. Chloe: Chloe can control/switch bodies. She didn't use this often because obviously it's an invasion, but she enjoys fun. Her, Brooke, and Jenna use their powers to stay at the top of the food chain at school.
