removed painting tier of my commissions and slightly upped the price of the standard commissions as by this point my usual colouring/shading style is a lot more like the style i use for my paintings

#pretty much every piece i make is experimental in some way but i'm starting to notice some things setting in now #commissions are dormant anyway but i wanna be ready for when it does happen yknow #i noticed this when i removed the lines on my newest piece and it looked a lot more like my paintings than i expected

i consider this one a spiritual successor to my neon red painting because a) crazy hair b) similar composition and pose and c) i turned off the line layer in csp and oh my god it has as much shading detail as the neon red painting

i recently finished gravity rush 2 and say what you want about kali angel but she did NOT deserve what happened to her

#and one without the commentary. you WILL observe her

(massive gravity rush 2 spoilers under the cut) like listen. she was a jerk to kat. but god there is so much to it

imagine. you are the hero of hekseville. you are in a good place, unlike when you and your only friend - your sister - were homeless orphaned children who were kidnapped and experimented on with things that killed all the other orphans.

then surprise! your sister vanishes in a gravity storm! you may be a hero but the people only care about you because of your status as a protector, because you're of use to them, even if it looks like adoration. years go by and your sister doesn't return. double surprise! some scatterbrained gravity shifter just showed up and she's decided she doesn't like you because she wants the town to see HER as the hero! fine, you don't like her either, and now she's trying to muscle in on dealing with the city's nevi, the ONE thing you're useful for. that's ok, you still have dad. triple surprise! the shifter just outed you and your dad's crimes, including the murders,l and all of hekseville turned on you pretty much immediately because they only cared about how useful you were anyway! you were the hero, and now you're the villain, and the security system your dad set up is now trying to apprehend you. all in front of the annoying gravity shifter.

your sister's returned which is the ONE piece of good news. quadruple surprise! she doesn't remember you, and they're using another name for her. you try to get her to remember who she is, and you succeed but guess what! the shifter and the OTHER shifter have the NERVE to tell you that the girl you spent your life surviving with is a fake, and to make matters worse, not only is everyone backing her up on this, but actively work towards erasing her so they can make her into the girl they know her as. quintuple surprise, it gets worse! the jellyfish twins are now ALSO trying to kill the only friend you ever had! in fact, they all come so close you can't bear it.

you can't bear it, and in an emotional outburst your power turns you into a monstrosity the likes hekseville has never seen. it hurts. it hurts so much. they're all trying to kill you. your dad is dead by your hand, they've all seemingly succeeded in erasing your sister, and now you have nobody. you have nobody, you're in agony, the shifters and the jellyfish are about to kill you. you know you're going to die a villain, and hekseville will probably celebrate your death then forget about you. your life mostly sucked, everyone you loved is gone as far as you know, the only thing you were ever good at and loved for now counts for nothing because the shifters took your place, and you died young, unloved, unneeded, in agony, and with no dignity or honour. congratulations.
