Black women: we have been slaughtered and raped like animals due to our race and the color of our skin. It is so ingrained in American culture to see us as inhuman, systemic oppression makes life hard for us. We are policed from the way our hair grows to how we speak. Our natural looks are seen as ugly and inferior
Some insane white user on Tumblr dot com: oh thats so queer, your experience is so queer, you're just like me

Here's the link to the evacuation gofundme. They're very close to their goal. They legitimately only have less than 10k USD left to go before all 9 of them can evacuate.

That is the right wing plan. It is more than Trump. More than MAGA. This is bigger than one election.
This is an endless fight. For every progressive win, there is a fascist reactionary backlash.
Conservative SCOTUS will rule against all precedent and established law to benefit the patriarchal and misogynist ruling class.
Fascism is the ruling class methodology and ideology.
Elections help kill fascism.

what i’ve learned is that if you’re gonna engage in a romantic relationship during your young adult years, it damn well better be with someone who makes your insides explode with nothing but positive emotion. someone who takes the time to be kind, patient and understanding, more often than not, and who is as warm with their words as they are with their touch. life is too short to be focused on people who do not have your growth and best interest in mind. the right person will love you in a way that makes you feel completely free and accepted within your own skin. they won’t attempt to hinder your development out of fear or insecurity that your new experiences might lead you into the arms of someone else. good lovers will desire to see your personal success just as much as you do, and they will support and respect your decisions. stay away from people who make you feel guilty about desiring the best for yourself. they don’t love you for you, they love you for what you can provide for them. and that is not love.

places to donate for tigray
for those who are unaware of what is going on in tigray, omnitigray has an in-depth piece on the genocide happening right now and the history leading up to it. tigray has had an internet blackout since 2020 so there is very little accessible day-to-day information. however the atrocities that are known are clear and alarming, and the tigrayan people need attention and support.

The average man thinks he’s smarter than the average women. And women generally agree.
By Lisa Wade, PhD
It starts early. At the age of five, most girls and boys think that their own sex is the smartest, a finding consistent with the idea that people tend to think more highly of people like themselves. Around age six, though, right when gender stereotypes tend to take hold among children, girls start reporting that they think boys are smarter, while boys continue to favor themselves and their male peers.
They may have learned this from their parents. Both mothers and fathers tend to think that their sons are smarter than their daughters. They’re more likely to ask Google if their son is a “genius” (though also whether they’re “stupid”). Regarding their daughters, they’re more likely to inquire about attractiveness.
Once in college, the trend continues. Male students overestimate the extent to which their males peers have “mastered” biology, for example, and underestimate their female peers’ mastery, even when grades and outspokenness were accounted for.  To put a number on it, male students with a 3.00 G.P.A. were evaluated as equally smart as female students with a 3.75 G.P.A.
When young scholars go professional, the bias persists. More so than women, men go into and succeed in fields that are believed to require raw, innate brilliance, while women more so than men go into and succeed in fields that are believed to require only hard work.
Once in a field, if brilliance can be attributed to a man instead of a woman, it often will be. Within the field of economics, for example, solo-authored work increases a woman’s likelihood of getting tenure, a paper co-authored with a woman has an effect as well, but a paper co-authored with a man has zero effect. Male authors are given credit in all cases.
In negotiations over raises and promotions at work, women are more likely to be lied to, on the assumption that they’re not smart enough to figure out that they’re being given false information.
Overall, and across countries, men rate themselves as higher in analytical intelligence than women, and often women agree. Women are often rated as more verbally and emotionally intelligent, but the analytical types of intelligence (such as mathematical and spatial) are more strongly valued. When intelligence is not socially constructed as male, it’s constructed as masculine. Hypothetical figures presented as intelligent are judged as more masculine than less intelligent ones.
All this matters.
By age 6, some girls have already started opting out of playing games that they’re told are for “really, really smart” children. The same internalized sexism may lead young women to avoid academic disciplines that are believed to require raw intelligence. And, over the life course, women may be less likely than men to take advantage of career opportunities that they believe demand analytical thinking.
Lisa Wade, PhD is a professor at Occidental College. She is the author of American Hookup, a book about college sexual culture, and a textbook about gender. You can follow her on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.

I NEED women to get comfortable telling folks “You’re not doing enough for me” and “I need more than what you’re capable or willing to provide.” I need my ladies to say it, mean it, and STAND on it, because that’s where your best life and best LOVE resides. It’s not selfish, it’s self preservation. Too many times, people come into our lives, leave with more than what they had, when they came, and we are left depleted and broken when they’re gone.
Dead it. ♥️

I'm sorry if you're tired of thinking about ofmd and that whole mess but goddamn... it's incredibly painful to see so many people trying to set up fundraisers to get their families out of gaza and the sudan and desperately trying to get their loved ones to safety, I've seen so many and everyday I check to see how much progress they've made, most of them still haven't hit their goal. It hurts to see people rally around a tv show and raise all this money for a billboard, and it's very frustrating to see how people have reacted to this criticism. Like bro tv shows get canceled sometimes there's more important stuff going on
Someone else said it better but to see a fundraiser for tv show renewal advertisements raise $20,000 in less than a day while it takes days/weeks/months/years/never for fundraisers for actual causes that help real people in need reach a goal of less is absolutely dystopian and shameful

Tw:(mentions of death and dismemberment )Thank you for talking about The black women who you mentioned that was murdered by a white man recently . All I’ve seen is the sheer lack of compassion for the victim who was named Sade Robinson who was just nineteen ,about to graduate from a technical college this may and was about to turn twenty this may as well when she was brutally killed by that monster. I’ve been following the case since they first discovered a part of her human remains. This man seemed to have scattered them in different parts of the city .It’s like not even in death can people show Sade and her family any sympathy or compassion. From black men and women blaming her for going on a date with this white man saying it’s divesting gone wrong.Even black women being especially insensitive about her death and blaming her. Then black men as you pointed out gloating about her death. Then even some white people that her death is not racially motivated. All of these people can’t even for one moment find it in themselves to care about Sade instead of shaming someone who was brutally killed.Im sorry for writing all of that I’ve just had to see people just being awful about Sade’s death .Im thankful for you being one of the few people I’ve seen not blaming Sade for what happened to her or using her death as some kind of lesson .

sade robinson.
one of the ways misogynoir continues to dehumanize black women even after death is by not letting the girls and women who are victims of male violence be individuals.
george floyd got to be an individual, even as his murder was used to start a movement. no one who wasn't a racist blamed him, even as he was an imperfect victim, because people understood that he was a human being above all else. yet people can't extend that sympathy to black women and girls. remember, misogynoir is a form of misogyny, and misogyny has been the hegemony by which most societies are organized for thousands of years because so many women are also complicit in woman-hating, as sick as it makes me to think about that. may we keep her memory, sade robinson, as a beautiful young girl who deserved to grow old, who had her own ambitions and loves and dreams we won't ever see fulfilled. may we also remember that she was another victim in the epidemic of black femicide in the united states, in a sea of pain:

citation. we have a duty to care about this as black americans. the the victim blaming has to end. my heart breaks for our daughters, sisters, cousins, aunts, mothers, and grandmothers. this is far from the first time we've suffered, and we've been made strong by it, but it's also made us hard, and cold, and cynical. please speak to the women in your life about misogynoir and raise consciousness so we can begin to protect our sisters.
