Fun fact: The film I used for this music video is titled 'One Got Fat'. It was a bike safety video from 1963 where all the monkeys die in a horrific accident bc they don't follow the rules of the road, except for one, who then eats all the other's lunch... 😂 Wear a helmet kids!

I had a dream that after a freak bike/bus accident during a mysterious global blackout, I woke up to discover that NOFX had never existed, so I began performing their songs and became Fat Mike.. so basically a weird version of the movie Yesterday. Here’s my first cover of Linoleum by NOFX.

NEW SONG! Tunnel Vision (acoustic cover of The Flatliners)
One of the most influential bands for my music is The Flatliners and front-man Chris Cresswell. Every one of their albums has spent a significant amount of time on repeat in our house and on car rides en route to their shows. Many of Chris's solo acoustic songs are staples of our cover set, recognizable by many of our friends and fans who don't even know of them any other way.
Their newest album New Ruin is some of their best work yet. Nestled 3 from the bottom, while not one of their hit singles, Tunnel Vision immediately jumped out as a top-notch, fast-paced banger - face-paced to the point where maybe you wouldn't expect it to be the first choice for an acoustic cover. I've always found that the translation from punk to acoustic folk works well in exactly this situation.
As I started strumming along, the chords immediately felt familiar. The lyrics offer a similar perspective to the music I've been writing/releasing over the past few years, consistent with the tone of the rest of the album.
