21 Worthless Foods a Nutritionist Will Immediately Cut From Your Diet
You know that daily bagel and cream cheese habit will have to go if you want to eat healthier and lose weight, same for chips-munching on the couch. What else might be holding you back from reaching your weight loss goals? Though there is a consensus on eliminating some items completely- soda- nearly all experts say they believe in a balanced approached that focuses on drastically cutting back on the bad guys, while adding more whole natural foods in their place.
Soda – Artificial sweeteners in diet soda in particular can mess with our body’s regulatory system. Soda doesn’t nourish you at all. It doesn’t give you anything at all.
Juice – Even though you’re consuming fruits and veggies, a lot of the good stuff is left behind in the juicing process.
Nut milk – A substance used in many non-dairy milk products as a thickening agent, has been linked to increased gastrointestinal inflammation
Fried Food – Duh.
Fat – free dressing – Not all fats are bad for you. “Good” fats keep you full and help you absorb more nutrients from food.
Alcohol – Pure and simple, liquid calories with no added benefits if not numerous negative effects.
Cheese – (Why have you forsaken me!?) Cheese is high in saturated fat, which can be difficult to digest, (causing bloating).
Red Meat – Red meat has been found to be a potential carcinogen, which has been linked to colorectal, prostate, and pancreatic cancer.
Processed meats – Recent reports also have found a link between cancer and processed meats like bacon, hot dogs, and sausages.
Yogurt with fruit on the bottom – Confused? The answer lies in the syrupy fruit flavor that sweetens tart yogurt.
Flavored Coffee drinks – Pumpkin spice lattes may only be available for a limited time, but that doesn’t negate the excess liquid calories you consume if you drink these indulgent lattes on a regular basis.
Gluten-free foods – Many gluten free foods use tapioca flour as a binder substitute, but this ingredient provides little to no nutrition.
Ice cream and frozen yogurt – You’re looking at increased blood sugar levels, weight gain over time, inflammation throughout the body, and a rise in LDL (bad) cholesterol.
Flavored instant oatmeal – Those individual packets of oatmeal are filled with 15 to 20 grams of unnecessary sugar. These artificial sweeteners can trigger cravings.
Wraps – Most deli or Café wraps clock in around 300 calories, which can easily take your calorie count way over the edge once you factor in all the fillings.
Granola – Granola is high in fat and calories and often provides a good dose of added sugar.
Soy sauce – Astronomically high levels of sodium
Dried fruit – Two spoonful’s of dried fruit have health benefits, it’s when you don’t control portions – that’s the problem.
Protein bars – Many ingredients in these bars are unrecognizable, they may not come from whole foods, and often contain lots of sugar. Better alternative? Chocolate milk.
Cereal – Sugary breakfast cereal made with mostly refined grains can contain lots of added sugar and very little fiber, that’s mid-morning hunger pangs waiting to happen.
Enhanced waters – Real sugar causes a receptor in the brain to release dopamine, the hormone associated with pleasure, but when you ingest artificial sugar, the body wants more and more!

Who’s ready for Christmas? I’m ready for Christmas. I’m ready to look like that on Christmas Day. I’m ready to surprise all of my family members who told me I should lose some extra weight.

How to stop binges
I'm no professional but I've struggled with bingeing for a long time and these tips have helped me to get a lot better!
DO NOT watch a movie/show/YouTube etc. while you eat. By focusing on your food you don't start snacking when you're finished with your portion and you're less likely to overeat.
If you binge, binge on fruit & veggies. Not only do they have a lot less calories and fat than chips or candy they also have lots of nutrients and vitamins that will help you in the long run. It's almost impossible to get fat from bingeing on fruit, you may bloat but it's better than having junk.
Drink water before you eat to fill you up. This will help you to not overeat. Try to drink a lot throughout the day to minimize snacking and put fruit in it for more flavor or make tea.
Stay away from triggering foods as much as possible and after a while you'll stop craving them.

Anorexic
So here’s to us.
Here’s to ordering a salad when YOU really want a burger. To making an ass out of ourselves in cardio hip-hop class. To drinking more water than seems humanly possible. To going five more minutes on the elliptical. To working out twice as much as your skinny roommate.
To say “Screw you” to the old YOU. To falling in love with the YOU who YOU want to become. To looking in the mirror and not seeing any change, throwing on your running shoes and working out anyways. To looking in the mirror and seeing major change.
Here’s to carrots, and sweaty t-shirts, and perseverance, and all things fat-free, and sore muscles, and stinky socks, and 7am, and spin classes, and falling down, and getting back up, and bottled water.
Here’s to getting up every day and doing it all over again.
Here’s to us.
