New school, new you. Bullshit. You didn't have it in you to even try and be optimistic. Too broken from having to say goodbye to your close school friends and leaving the school as a whole just to move out of the city where you were born and made numbers of memories in, you really couldn't be jolly. First day in your new school was just as you expected, curious glances, rare approaches with the goal of welcoming you, just a regular day filled with uneasiness reflected by a knot in your stomach the whole time.
When the teacher introduced you to the class, you silently thanked her for not having to do that yourself, you were instructed to sit. The seat wasn't bad at all, it was next to the window. The view on your left was actually breathtaking; it looked upon a little garden the school had, it was like some colorful paradise. The view on the right though, you hated to admit it, but it didn't fall far behind. There seated was a boy with silky blonde hair and a leather jacket, those are the first things you noticed on him. You didn't want to be caught staring, so you were flashing glances at him, even though that was way more suspicious. You noticed that his face features were sharp, but at the same time incredibly soft, and at that point you were basically staring. You looked around the classroom cautiously, the teacher's voice going in one ear and out on the other. None of the other classmates caught your eyes, just the boy next to you, his presence was somehow felt in the air. You were shook when a hand suddenly waved in front of your face, moving your focus on it.
"I said - Do you want to share my book? - I guess you don't have yours yet." Said the voice sweet as honey, but still deep. You froze in the spot when you realized that his owner was the blonde haired boy. He seemed like a double edged sword, you couldn't quite put your finger on it. He looked bad, but on the other hand, he seemed good. "Yes... Thank you."
Nothing much changed in the next couple of days. You haven't found any new friends, but you were feeling good on your own. The blonde haired boy spoke to you for a couple more times during classes, but it was nothing more than to help you by borrowing you a book, so you didn't really consider him a friend. He never introduced himself, but you caught on his name when the teacher was checking for absent students. Park Seonghwa. His name was mentioned quite a few times, it seemed like he wasn't really the type who had much interest in school. The thing that surprised you though, was the fact that when he was present, there wasn't one question that he didn't know the answer to. The teacher would voice a question at him, and he would just as fast voice out a correct answer.
Just like you, he too seemed not to have many friends. You happened to see him a couple of times in front of the classroom, while you were going to the restroom, with another boy. They always seemed like they were talking about the most interesting thing in the World. Seonghwa's smile and laugh carved itself in your brain then and there. It put you at ease every time you thought about it.
One day, while you were in the classroom, during lunch break, you heard Seonghwa's and his friend's joyous clatter. You instinctively rose to go to the restroom. You didn't even have to go, you just wanted to take a peek at Seonghwa, as you started doing from some point on. On the way back, just as the two boys, Seonghwa and his friend, got in your eyesight, someone stepped in front of you, blocking your way. You hesitantly looked up and in front of you was a rather tall boy smiling back down at you. Instantly you felt uneasiness, and wanting to avoid that awkward encounter as fast as possible you murmured a quick "Hello" and tried to go around him. He made a half circle around you, and in no time he was in front of you again. You started feeling agitated. "I know you're new, but I think we have met before." He said huskily, grinning. Oh dear God, please no. You mentally took in a big breath and replied not moving your gaze from his feet. "You're mistaking me for someone else." You coughed trying to calm your voice. You weren't on the flirty side at all, or on the extroverted side in general, and a stranger approaching you and trying to make a move on you just fired all alarms in your mind. "I'm sorry, I need to return to my classroom." You said coldly, going around him for the second time. All hairs on your body rose when he grasped your wrist and spun you around, to face him. Your eyes widened in shock and your body froze. "You look cute acting all cold like that." Seems like this boy just couldn't decipher all the nope signals you were throwing at him. Just as you were about to try and shake his hand off, a somewhat familiar voice met your ears, and you immediately relaxed. "There you are, what took you soo long?" Seonghwa stood right beside you, having the fakest smile you have ever seen, well compared to the smile he gave his friend all the time, the one he had now seemed fake. His eyes locked on the grip the boy had on your wrist, and by noticing this, the boy let go. You instantly sighed in relief. "Oh, I'm sorry for keeping you, you should have said you were in a hurry." The boy said to you with the most insincere apologetic smile you have ever seen and your insides twisted. You looked at Seonghwa with a troubled face, fretting that he will get the wrong impression, but he just nodded at you understandingly. "Let's get going." He tilted his head in the direction of his friend. Before the boy could have said anything, both of you already had your backs to him.
"Thank you." You breathed out, burying your face in your hands. You were in the classroom, in your seat. It was lunchtime and everyone was out, so Seonghwa and his friend brought you in to calm down. He was leaning back against his desk, while his friend sat in his seat. "Don't mention it." He replied, and his friend jumped in on the conversation. "Do you need water? Or something sugary?" Your heart fluttered from his compassion. You rose your head and looked at the boy, Seonghwa's friend. He had vivid blue hair, a bit more than few piercings on both ears, and a charming smile. You shook your head, not wanting to trouble them any more. "No, thank you very much. I'm all alright now, I don't want to take any more of your time." You gave them a small smile. Seonghwa chuckled, leaned forward putting his elbows on your desk and meeting your gaze. "Funny that you think we're just going to let you be without getting a favor in return." You froze in the spot, his words shocked you. You thought for a second that your gut got it all wrong, that he was just as his looks were hinting, bad. That is, until he burst into a fit of laughter, his friend rolling his eyes at him with a chuckle. "You should have seen your face, it was priceless." Seonghwa managed to say in between breaths. His friend got up and approached you while Seonghwa was calming down, still chuckling here and there. "He meant to say that he was sorry." You smiled, almost sourly. Too much happened to you in the last few minutes and you didn't know what you felt by that point. Seeing this, Seonghwa cut in. "Yeah, that was a bit much, sorry." He scratched the back of his neck. "By the way, I'm Park Seonghwa." He officially introduced himself. "And this handsome blueberry here is Kim Hongjoong." He said pointing at his friend. "It's nice finally meeting you."
Now you could finally say you had friends. Since the day you got to know them, they were extremely friendly and nice. It was hard to believe it was that easy to make friends. Well technically you didn't make friends, they basically adopted you as their friend. At first you didn't want to interfere much, because you felt like you were butting in on their duo, but they were persistent with insisting so you gave in. Their company wasn't at all bad, they were nice and fun people to have around. They did look like the boys your mom instructed you to be cautious of, but their personas were so pure, the contrast between their outside and inside almost hurt. Due to their style, other boys were jealous and cautious of them, and girls were secretly wishing that one of them was their boyfriend. And you? You just knew them as two dorks. You wondered if anyone actually tried to get to know them before making accusations and their own picture of them. They didn't seem to mind though. You noticed Seonghwa started coming to school more often. He probably felt more at ease that he had someone he knew and could talk to next to him. Sure, Hongjoong was his friend, but he was in another class, two floors above, and it was tiresome walking during every break just to meet for five minutes and then go back.
You sat on a bench outside school together with Seonghwa, not long after came Hongjoong and joined you sitting on Seonghwa's other side. It was lunch time, so the three of you came out. "How was chemistry, learned something new?" Hongjoong asked, chuckling as he already knew Seonghwa's answer. The boy was a prodigy, there was nothing that he didn't understand, you on the other hand had trouble making meets end, with chemistry at least. You didn't have problems with other subjects, in fact you were doing extremely good. "Boring, as always." "Hard, as always." Seonghwa and you said in unison and chuckled. "You two are starting to creep me out with that." Hongjoong waved his head pointing at Seonghwa and you. Ever since you all started hanging out, Seonghwa and you have had the weirdest telepathy moments.  To be honest, it weirded you out too. "I'm not on the same page with you here Hwa. Chemistry is hell's child." Hongjoong continued nodding at you. "Someone here understands me." You exclaimed dramatically, taking a bite out of your sandwich. Seonghwa just blinked, calmly drinking his juice. "I have an idea. Let's study together, it's sure to be easier that way." Hongjoong excitedly sprung from the bench and stood in front of you. You mirrored his actions, getting up yourself. "Great idea Hongjoong!" You chimed, new found optimism bubbling up in you. Seonghwa calmly looked up at you two commenting. "You do know that the addition of two nothings is still nothing?" You and Hongjoong both rolled your eyes at him. "Then mister wise guy, come and help us out." Hongjoong retorted. "I have other stuff to do." Hongjoong crossed his arms and raised his brow. "Like what? Waste time all day playing games?" Seonghwa looked up squinting his eyes sarcastically at Hongjoong. "I'll have you know, playing games is not wasting time." Hongjoong mimicked Seonghwa's expression. "But it sure seems it's more important than helping your friends." "I didn't say that." "We haven't even set the date, and you said you were busy. Fine Seonghwa, it's fine." Hongjoong exclaimed, acting insulted, but soon chuckled letting down his facade. You cursed mentally that you didn't have popcorn with you, the scene before you was priceless.
Eventually Seonghwa gave in. He would have given in way before, but the chat he had with Hongjoong turned into a funny back and forth argument, so he didn't want to cut short the fun. Not only did he agree to help you two, he even agreed for the study session to be in his house. Since you were still relatively new to the city, finding your way trough it was a problem. Hongjoong went out of his way, and offered to pick you up in front of your house. Both of Seonghwa and Hongjoong never ceased to surprise you with how caring they were. You didn't want to trouble Hongjoong, but you didn't have any other solution. On the way to Seonghwa's house Hongjoong and you talked about where you used to live, your old school and friends, and you moving in general. That sparked up a conversation about Seonghwa. Hongjoong talked about how was it for Seonghwa when he first moved to where he was now and how the two became friends. It was then that you found yourself interested in Seonghwa's life, and history. But you didn't give much thought to it, you figured that it was because he had a story similar to yours.
You looked at Hongjoong quizzically as he stopped in front of a relatively big, modern-looking house which looked like it jumped out of a magazine. Unaffected, he rang the bell on the gate. When the gate buzzed and unlocked was when you realized that this is where Seonghwa lived. As the two of you entered the gate, the door of the house swung open to reveal Seonghwa in a form you haven't witnessed yet. He was barefoot, a black hairband held his messy blonde hair in place, his black jeans were replaced with grey sweatpants, and his usual black leather jacket was replaced by a plain white t-shirt. Sounds like pretty plain combination, right? But this man made it look like it belonged on a runaway.
The interior of the house didn't fall behind from the exterior when it came to visuals. Everything was clean and neatly organized, it was extremely pretty for the eye. "Do you want to study in the living room or in my bedroom?" Seonghwa asked as he leaned on the doorframe of what seemed like the living room. You looked at Hongjoong, waiting for him to make the choice for the both of you. "The living room is wider, and plus you won't get distracted with your stuff." You were a little disappointed you weren't going to see Seonghwa's room for some reason, it was just out of curiosity, or so you thought. "When do I ever get distracted?" Seonghwa put his hand over his heart pretending to be offended to which Hongjoong smirked devilishly and retorted. "Well Hwa it depends. Are you asking me for the time before she came or after?" She? You looked at Hongjoong squinting your eyes in confusion, as if the name of the person he was referring to was written on his face. Hongjoong however, still had his gaze on Seonghwa whose eyes were now ever so slightly widened and looking at you. You were about to ask them what they were talking about, but Hongjoong dismissed the theme he himself started. "Give me something to drink, my throat is dry." He said as if nothing happened, and marched into the living room. "It's no wonder, you didn't close your mouth since you came." Seonghwa backfired, earning a giggle from you. His eyes never left you during that time. You two could hear Hongjoong sarcastically laugh from the living room, and following that Seonghwa guided you in.
Seonghwa was no joke. He managed to explain everything that was causing confusion to you and Hongjoong better than the teacher. You pretty much understood everything by that point, but just to be sure, Seonghwa gave Hongjoong and you some problems to solve. You were proud of yourself for being able to finally grasp something that seemed abstract only hours ago. You finished before Hongjoong and called Seonghwa to check. You and Hongjoong were seated across each other, at the dining room table, as the dining room was just the continuation of the living room, and Seonghwa just kind of orbited around the two of you. He stood behind you, and leaned over your shoulder to scan the paper with his eyes. He was never this close. You wouldn't have minded the distance if your heart hadn't started beating more rapid out of nowhere. He had a recognizable scent to him. It defined him perfectly. A sweet, soft scent laced with a sharp undertone. You hung out with him, so it didn't miss your senses. "Good job, it's all correct." He smiled tilting his head slightly to you, and putting his hand on your opposite shoulder. Mint. That's another thing you noticed about him. His breath always had an intense aroma of mint, and being this close, it hit you stronger than ever. Like he could hear your thoughts, he closed his eyes and inhaled deeply. "Cherry... you smell like cherry." You didn't have any perfume on yourself, but you did have a cherry flavored lip gloss. You let out a nervous breathy laugh as your cheeks heated up. Seonghwa, noticing that what he said was a bit weird, quickly moved away from you, and apologized, blushing as well. What neither of you could see was Hongjoong, who was watching the whole thing. His face had a grin that would even put the Grinch to shame. He was cheering for the both of you, with all his heart.
Needless to say, both Hongjoong and you aced the test and you wanted to show your gratitude towards Seonghwa. And that is why all three of you were now in a club, in a specially reserved spot, away from all the commotion, but still feeling the mood. You were never the type to make a lot of time just to get yourself ready, but that night you had some unnamed urge to give it your all. You styled your hair, did your make up; you made sure that you put on your cherry lip gloss, and picked out a dress that gave you a confidence boost. It wasn't revealing, but it perfectly portrayed your curves in all the right places. It was black so it fit with the boys' style. Black, totally unintentionally, happened to be Seonghwa's favorite color, not that you were aiming for that. You thought, if you looked good, then Hongjoong looked amazing, and Seonghwa looked Godly. Hongjoong wore a black t-shirt with a thin leather suit-jacket rested on top of it. Below he wore light denim jeans held by a black belt, and low-rise black martens. You didn't even want to start with the accessories. The boy was an accessory guru. On the other hand, Seonghwa was dressed like he wanted to kill you. You thought that he was breathtaking. He was wearing a thin black turtleneck that showed his physique down to the muscle. Below he wore black jeans ripped on both knees and black vans. What made butterflies twirl in your stomach was a black ring on the middle of his bottom lip. The moment the thought of him kissing you with that ring came to your mind, you may have realized that you liked him, a lot.
The night passed like every hangout of yours, filled with joyous clatter, jokes and messing around. At some point Hongjoong left for the bathroom. He didn't go to sit by the bar, away from your sight, to give you two some alone time. Not at all. He was the only one that noticed both of your feelings and now he was trying to make you two realize the feelings of the other. He knew that Seonghwa was interested in you from the moment he went out of his way to help you get away from that guy in school. Of course that Seonghwa was enough human to help if anyone else was in your situation, but the way he reacted in front of Hongjoong when he realized what was going on, frustrated and overly emotional for someone he barely knew, hinted Hongjoong that something was up. Without Hongjoong there, you suddenly felt nervous sitting next to Seonghwa, especially now that you were aware of your feelings. Seonghwa was no better. You were not making it easy for him looking all gorgeous and cute sitting within a hand's reach from him. He fell for you when you showed him that you didn't need anybody to stand tall when you first came to the school. He found you to be a strong and determined woman. The small talks he had with you before he officially introduced himself were just his way of showing you that you weren't all alone. All this came from his own experiences when he moved schools. He tried making friends, but due to his "bad boy" looks, everyone was cautious of him, and he felt so alone. That's where Hongjoong came into the story by giving Seonghwa something precious, a true friend. You didn't want Seonghwa to feel awkward so you tried to start a conversation. Both of you had the same thought apparently and started talking at the same time, taken aback both of you said "You go first" in unison as well. The scene caused both of you to chuckle. You took a sip from your drink, commenting. "Hongjoong was right, this started to be really creepy." Seonghwa nodded, sweeping his hair back. "Yeah, like we are two halves of the same person." Like soulmates. The thought crossed both of your minds, but neither of you dared to voice it.
After that, everything was the way it used to be, except the sweet unnoticeable tension between you and Seonghwa. It was new for the both of you, but just a regular Thursday for Hongjoong. In no way was it awkward. You two sat closer, became a bit more daring with words towards each other, and even more physical, even if that just meant hugs and occasional shoulder pats. Hongjoong felt like a proud mom, and like a third wheel, but just a bit. Seonghwa eventually confessed to Hongjoong that he had feelings for you, and he was surprised when Hongjoong told him he already knew, for quite a while. He asked Hongjoong not to leave him alone with you, because he had a tendency to tense up and act stupid. So basically Hongjoong was stuck in between being a good friend and a wing man. But being a good friend included wanting your friend to be happy right? And Seonghwa would be happy if he was with someone he liked. So technically him being a wing man was the same as him being a good friend. This hole in the system justified Hongjoong to bail on the two of you occasionally when going out. After all, Seonghwa was alone with you most of the time in the classroom, so how bad can it be? It wasn't bad, but it wasn't effective either, as Seonghwa couldn't muster up the courage to make a move, and neither could you.
The school year ended, and the three of you were inseparable by that point. Not to mention that you feelings bloomed to an almost painful extent, and so did your fear of loosing him if you end up getting rejected. Hongjoong was giving you two time to confess yourselves, but boy were you testing his patience. There was a number of times when he was tempted to just smack your faces together and get it over with, but he held back just because of that cliche ideal of a romantic first kiss, and besides, it wasn't his decision to make.
The three of you made an agreement to have movie nights once a week when the vacation starts, and the day of the first one came. The plan was to change the meet up place every week, and Seonghwa's place was the first in line. You had the task to bring snacks, and what better snacks are there for a movie than popcorn? Hongjoong had the vital task of picking out the movie. You might think "How hard can it be?", well Hongjoong thought that this could be an important crossroad for the two of you. The movie could inspire you in making the first move, either of you. Was Hongjoong wrong. Except suggestive remarks and shy skin contacts, nothing else occurred.
"Seonghwa, I think you need to put yourself together and finally make the move." Hongjoong proclaimed as he crossed his arms, seated across Seonghwa. A few days passed since the movie night and Hongjoong showed up at Seonghwa's house trying to encourage him. "Joong. I know. But I can't." Seonghwa shook his head from side to side causing Hongjoong to sigh. "I know you are afraid, but trust me when I say that I'm sure that she feels the same way. I have seen the way she acts around you, she gives off the same dumbass energy as you do." Seonghwa gave a small smile to Hongjoong before he hid his face behind his hands. "The bigger the love, the greater the fear of confessing. Confessing is potentially losing" Seonghwa proclaimed as he moved his hands to his cheeks, now resting his elbows on his knees. "But risking is potentially winning." Hongjoong mimicked Seonghwa's stance. "There are too many "ifs" there for me to feel reassured." "You are unbelievable. The both of you are stubborn as hell." Hongjoong rolled his eyes, chuckling before he continued speaking. "What if you try and confess in a way where you have a reserve?" Seonghwa raised his eyebrows, his eyes filling with newfound excitement. "You mean like a confession that isn't necessarily a confession?" Hongjoong just nodded. "Joong, you're a genius."
You were laying on your bed, listening to music. It was pouring outside, so you were in a relaxed mood. In the middle of the song, your phone buzzed. You cursed as the notification tuned down the song at your favorite part, but instantly forgot all that when you saw that the notification was a message from Seonghwa. It was a simple "Hey", but you couldn't help but feel excited, as you quickly sat up and responded. "Hey ^^" You nervously tapped the ends of your screen as you were awaiting his reply, his chat bubble continuously changing between "typing" and nothing. "What's up?" You laid back down with a smile plastered across your face as you typed your response. "I was listening to music, and you?" "Nothing special. I was hanging out with Hongjoong this morning so now I wanted to see how you were doing." You smiled, getting ready to type a response, but you halted as you saw that he was typing another message. "You said you were listening to music? Want me to send you my spotify playlist?" "Absolutely, I would love to listen to what you like!" When he sent you the playlist you responded with "Let me listen to it, and I will be right back." to what he said nothing. You put in your earphones and started listening without giving the list a second glance. The songs weren't at all bad, but they varied a lot. A song you thought you already heard came up, so you looked at your phone to check what was up. The name was "You", a song from "The 1985". You changed the song, the next being "Might Not" by "Belly". A chuckle escaped your lips because the two titles went together - "You Might Not", and went to the playlist to actually see all of the songs. Your jaw dropped. You could have easily been mistaken for a sculpture, as you didn't move a muscle, too shocked from what you saw. The titles read one after another made a sentence; "I kinda like you and I wanted to tell you. You might not feel the same and that is okay, but I thought you should know". You stuffed you phone in your pocket and ran outside in the rain, without taking an umbrella, in a rush to see Seonghwa as fast as possible. Your phone buzzed at one point, but neither did you notice it, neither did you care.
Seonghwa was pacing up and down his room, he was worried to the bone because of the fact that you did not reply in way to long. He was wondering whether or not you noticed. But in that panic he just reacted out of impulse, sending you a message that read "Oh, I only just noticed that the songs make a sentence, interesting, right? It's not like I like you or anything.". He facepalmed himself after rereading the message he has sent, realizing how stupid he sounded, but the deed has been done. The fact that you did not read the message was also not helping. If you were listening to music, you would have probably heard the message. That surely meant that you found the way he confessed silly or that you didn't feel the same way and the avoiding and rejecting he feared the most were taking place. He just faceplanted on his bed and wished that the mattress would suck him in. He spent a solid 15 minutes in that position before he heard his doorbell ring.
You stood in front of Seonghwa's door, wet to your bones, but that was not your priority. You rang the doorbell and waited, your heart thumping in your ears. Seconds later the door opened to reveal a wide eyed Seonghwa, he opened his mouth in order to ask you what was happening before you practically yelled in his face. "I like you too!" He blinked a few times in surprise, unsure if he was processing your words right. Then he pulled you in, closed the door and gently pressed you against it with his chest. Without a second more of hesitation he placed his lips on yours, placing his hands on your jaw. You don't remember anything in your life that felt that good. The mixed aromas of cherry and mint in that kiss will forever be carved in your memory. You both pulled apart simultaneously chuckling, and Seonghwa going into "worry mode". "Now that we got that solved, let's solve the problem of you being soaking wet. Wait until I get you a dry set of clothes." He said as he headed towards his room, his stomach filling with butterflies at the thought of you wearing his clothes. That cliche was a must for Seonghwa. "However sweet and romantic of you was the fact that you ran here in the rain just to return my feelings, it was also very irresponsible..." His voice grew more distant as he was going to his room to the point where you couldn't discern what he was talking anymore. You just chuckled, feeling better than ever as you took out your phone out of impulse, to check the time. That's when you saw a message from Seonghwa. Your heart swelled at how cute he was, trying to deny his confession, so you decided to mess with him. You waited for him to return before you made a comment about the message. "I see you do not like me after all, Seonghwa." You showed him the message to what he chuckled. "That might not be all incorrect... I think I have grown to love you."
"What's with the popcorn?" Hongjoong yelled to you from the living room where he and Seonghwa were starting a movie. "It's done, I'm coming!" You yelled back as you poured hot popcorn in two bowls and headed towards the living room. You gave one bowl to Hongjoong who thanked you with a smile, while you took the other with you, as you sat next to Seonghwa, cuddling up to him on the couch while Hongjoong had the armchair all to himself. You kissed Seonghwa, tasting that all too well known cherry mint flavor when you heard Hongjoong proclaim. "You two know I am your number one fan, but could you please refrain from making wet noises while we are watching the movie? I don't wanna be left with mental scars." He turned to both of you, sticking his tongue out playfully, before all of you burst into laughter. Never in your dreams have you imagined that life could be so good.

"Yes I understand... Yes... Yes I will be there."  Hongjoong sighed as he hung up the call and mentally cursed. His boss called, saying that he has to jump in to fill a shift urgently to help, as his co-worker called in sick last minute, since he lacks work hours. He glanced to the living room to check up on the reason of his lacking work hours, his little princess and he couldn't help but smile as he saw her happily playing with her designer's kit for children which he somehow managed to afford for her birthday since she proclaimed that she wants to be just like her daddy. Since he was taking care of her alone, he had to miss shifts from time to time as there were instances where none of his friends could fill in for him. He prayed that this wasn't one of those times because his boss warned him that if he doesn't show up to work in two hours he will get fired and he couldn't lose that job. Hongjoong took on a great number of jobs through the years to have his little minion live a nice and happy life. He keeps each of his jobs for as long as the boss is tolerant enough of him being late or missing whole shifts. He hates that he gives them a hard time, but raising a child as a single parent isn't an easy job and he is trying his best, he really is. Hiring a babysitter was an option sure, but Hongjoong couldn't afford one and even if he could, there was no way that he would ever leave his precious child to a complete stranger. He sighed once more before tapping in the message to the group chat, there are seven of them, surely one of them is free, right?
Wooyoung was in the middle of a game when a notification rang, signaling that a message had arrived on his phone. That wouldn't have been a problem if he wasn't in class and the notification didn't echo through the classroom. The college professor gave him a threatening look from above the rim of his glasses to what Wooyoung smiled nervously and pretended to move his phone back to his pocket before muting it and proceeding to read the message as soon as the professor looked away like nothing happened seconds ago. You eyed him judgingly from the seat next to him.  "Wooyoung, you are going to get in trouble." Not that most professors at college care if you are on your phone, laptop, are you listening or not... But this one was a bit of a nitpicking pain that always says that you should respect the time which he is giving to you in order to gift you knowledge by at least listening. He always made it sound like he doesn't get any compensation for what he does, not like he gets paid. Wooyoung looked at you with the most offended face he could make.  "Don't talk in class you'll get us in trouble."  He put a finger to his lips and couldn't help but smile to what you rolled your eyes and smiled as well returning your attention to the professor as Wooyoung returned his gaze to his phone. He entered the group chat to find that everyone already responded. He scrolled to the first message to see what all that was about, just to find Hongjoong's panicked message about needing someone as fast as possible to look over his child. Wooyoung loved that child like he was her uncle, and not just him, all of the boys warmed up to that little ray of sunshine. As he scrolled he noticed that none of the other boys were available, for valid reasons and he mentally sighed as he had to tell Hongjoong that he wasn't either.  Wooyoung: "I have a makeup exam. I must retake it, it's half of my mark. I'm really sorry."  This time he audibly sighed. He had major respect for Hongjoong, the guy was torn on million sides, he sacrificed his college and his free time for the sake of his child. That's why he felt bad for not being able to do anything in this situation.  Seonghwa: "Hongjoong, could you please reconsider all that about the babysitter?"  Yunho: "Yes, please, if money is the problem we can help you with that."  Hongjoong: "I know, but even if I agree, how can I get any babysitter to come in less than an hour? No worries guys, I'll just find another job."  Wooyoung was too preoccupied with his phone and thoughts of how to help to notice the professor eyeing him suspiciously. You however noticed and nudged him to snap out of it or he won't even have the chance to take that makeup exam. He rapidly turned his head to you, his eyes widening and your face crunching from confusion. It was seconds before he returned his attention to his phone.  Wooyoung: "I am a genius. I have solved all of your problems 😇"  Yeosang: "This is gonna be good."  Hongjoong: "?"  Wooyoung: "Y/N!"  Hongjoong: "Who?"  San: "Oooh, nice!👍🏻👍🏻"  Yeosang: "I am disappointed I am not disappointed with that answer. That is your first good idea since...ever."  Jongho: "How come that idea never crossed our minds before."  Mingi: "That would be so adorable to see. Just think of that cuteness duo!😸🥰"  Hongjoong: "Guys, would you please concentrate and tell me who that is."  You had to nudge Wooyoung again, stronger this time because he was visibly testing the professor's patience.  "Wooyoung, leave that phone, the professor is giving you a death stare I think even the room temperature decreased."  You whispered almost inaudibly to what he turned off his screen, nudged the phone to the side of his desk and shifted his gaze up smiling innocently to the professor. You couldn't help but pinch the bridge of your nose letting out a breathy laugh at his carefree attitude.
Hongjoong: "Wooyoung, who's y/n?"  Seonghwa: "Seems like he's not here anymore."  Jongho: "What... who leaves in a moment like that."  San: "I think he and y/n have class with that ice drama queen professor."  Yeosang: "He probably used all of his energy to come up with that idea, his system must have shut down."  San: "Yeosang... Who hurt you young child?"  Yeosang: "Whoever ate my fried chicken the last time we hung out."  Mingi: "But why are you taking it out on Wooyoung when Yunho ate your chicken 😂"  Yunho: "He. Didn't. Know. That."  Mingi: "Oops, I didn't know that."  Yeosang: "Well, it's only important that now I know that."  Yunho: "🙃"  Hongjoong: " G U Y S. I'm kinda running out of time here."  Seonghwa: "You remember how we mentioned Wooyoung's neighbor that hung out with us probably every single time when you weren't there?"  Hongjoong: "Oh yeah, I forgot her name, so y/n... I'm not so sure, how well do you guys know her?"  Mingi: "Wooyoung knows her best since she was his neighbor and classmate from the very start of college."  Jongho: "But since he's not here, your second best options are San, Yeosang and me. Well Yeosang and me."  San: "Hey 🥺"  Yeosang: "Yes, since we attend the same college we meet quite frequently so I assure you that she is a good choice."  San: "Are you all ignoring me now 🥺"  Jongho: " I strongly agree with Yeosang, not once did she leave a bad impression."  San: "..."  Hongjoong: "Well not like I have a choice at this point anyway."  Seonghwa: "Since I sense that you are still unsure, I remember this one time when she got a call from her sister and had to leave to look after her nephews."  Yunho: "So that means she knows with children. I mean you got a winning combo here." Hongjoong: "But I don't know, what if the two of them don't get along, what if something happens"  Jongho: "I just wanna remind you that this was Wooyoung's idea to which even Yeosang agreed"  Mingi: "I think that this is the first time something like this happened 😅"  Seonghwa: "Come on Hongjoong, you know we love your child almost as much as you do. We would never propose something that would be potentially dangerous for her."  Hongjoong: "Alright... Fine"
Finally, for what seemed ten times longer than the original ten minutes it should have lasted, the bell rang, signaling the end of the class. You stretched your arms, still sitting down, while Wooyoung rapidly swiped trough his phone to catch up on the conversation that he missed, hoping to run into Hongjoong's agreement. You eyed him suspiciously when he jolted up with an excited "yes". You mirrored his actions and got up as well, gathering your stuff.  "What happened, the makeup exam got postponed?"  He let out a sad whining sound before gathering his stuff as well.  "As if, not even in my dreams."  He swung his backpack on his back and typed something in his phone excitedly.  "Then what is..."  Before you could finish, he grabbed your wrist and started speed walking towards the door and into the hallway, opposite of the direction of where his exam is supposed to be.  "Wait Wooyoung, what is going on?"  But you were not graced by any kind of answer in return. When you exited the building, you were even more puzzled to see Yeosang, San and Jongho there. Before you could ask again, Wooyoung went into medical commercial narrator mode.  "So you remember how we mentioned our friend that has a rainbow sunshine pink sparkly precious child after who he looks after alone and that sometimes we fill in because he has to work and all. Well today we are all busy and if he doesn't go to work he will get fired and he really needs that job and he can't leave the child alone and so we thought that maybe, probably, eventually you could look after her because we don't have much time since he needs to go to work soon and pretty much we don't have any other option...please?"  You blinked trying to process everything you just heard as Wooyoung grabbed your hand and shook it giving you the puppy dog eyes look. You closed your eyes trying to form a coherent question in return to all that.  "Wha..."  But San interrupted you, joining Wooyoung in the hand shaking puppy dog eyes squad. "Pleeease, the child is a sweetheart I swear. I promise you two will get along perfectly, and the cuteness oh God, you two will be the cutest duo ever."  You shook your head, really trying to keep up with the both of them, looking around to find a spot to focus on in order to actually have a chance to think about the proposal, when you noticed Yeosang and Jongho standing on a greater distance from you than when they originally were, talking among themselves, pretending not to know you three. You couldn't blame them. "Wait you two, wait a second. I mean I am free now and I would love to help, but I am not sure about all this? To him I am a stranger and from what I have picked up from your stories he wouldn't leave his child with just anyone so I don't think he will agree to this. Also a child... I'm not sure, it's not the same as looking after my nephews."  Wooyoung let go of your hand in order to swipe through his phone for a brief second before showing you a message of Hongjoong's agreement, more like shoving it in your face.  "He already agreed, it's only left for you to agree so please."  You almost winced from the frequency Wooyoung's voice managed to hit. You were kinda at a dead end in that moment. You had no reasons to refuse, not like you even wanted to refuse an opportunity to help someone in a tight situation so the answer was pretty obvious.  "Okay, just tell me the address and..."  Your proclamation was interrupted with Wooyoung and San squealing and, for the sake of their souls, let's say that those were manly squeals. They ran up to Yeosang and Jongho and excitedly announced that you have agreed before Wooyoung proceeded to run back to the college entrance in his style, shouting.  "I'm late for the makeup exam, I will text you the address before I..."  Was all you managed to hear before his voice became inaudible.  "Wooyoung, I swear to God."  You whispered in your chin before joining the remaining trio in order to say goodbye.
Hongjoong was running around his apartment, grabbing his necessities before a tiny voice called out to him.  "Daddy?"  The young girl was standing underneath the notably larger doorframe, questioningly tilting her head to the side.  "You said you would stay home today."  Her face welcomed a small pout. Hongjoong quickly squatted to her eye level, one hand on her shoulder, while the other caressed the crown of her head.  "I know princess, but they called daddy to come today. I promise I will make it up to you."  He smiled, hoping to reassure her.  "I just miss you."  She proclaimed sadly before wrapping her small arms around his neck. Saying that his heart shattered into million pieces would be an understatement. He sighed heavily and wrapped his hands around her, lifting her up.  "I'm sorry it has to be this way."  He said that more to himself before the melody of the doorbell filled the house. The girl looked in her dad's eyes with newfound interest.  "Which uncle is coming today?"  Hongjoong smiled nervously, not sure how to deliver the news and more importantly not knowing what the reaction will be.  "About that..."  He hesitated as he went towards the door with her still in his arms.  "It's uncle Wooyoung's friend."  He confessed, opening the door, not sure himself what to expect. What greeted him there was a warm, smiling figure, immediately putting him at ease.  "Hello, I'm Wooyoung's classmate, y/n. It's nice to meet you Hongjoong."  You gave a little wave before grinning to the little girl.  "And this must be the princess I have heard so much about."  The girl smiled in return, resting her head on her dad's shoulder, still a bit shy.  "Hello."  Hongjoong motioned you to enter before he closed the door behind you, a faint scent of his shampoo hitting you.  "I should hurry now, thank you for coming on such short notice."  You were in the process of taking off your shoes while you replied.  "Don't worry, it's a pleasure to help."  You rose back up stretching out your arms for Hongjoong to give the girl to you.  "Oh there's no reason for that, she may be too heavy for you, besides she is daddy's big girl, she can walk."  Hongjoong went to put her down, but to his surprise he ran into the girl's resentment, as she stretched her arms out to you in return. You smiled warmly and took the child in your arms, patting her back.  "It's not a problem really."  You reassured Hongjoong as you turned to the girl.  "This way we can assist daddy together while he is getting ready for work, right?"  The girl chimed happily in response. Hongjoong didn't notice or he didn't want to notice how his brain blocked all of his actions for a brief second wanting to absorb that moment and so he continued with tying his shoelaces a moment after as if nothing happened. Hongjoong was about to exit when you noticed a phone on the cupboard next to you, so you quickly stop him. "Hongjoong, I think you forgot your phone."  He checked in all his pockets to check before he accepted the phone from you grasp and thanked you with a warm smile.  "Daddy will be back before you know it princess, be nice to y/n."  He bent down to plant a kiss on the girl's cheek, before her little hands grabbed his face and turned his head in order to do the same. The scene had you internally melting from all the cuteness. Hongjoong went out the door, and you trailed him standing on the doorframe.  "Wave to daddy."  You told the girl who shook her hand smiling from ear to ear, you copying her. There was it again, that moment that Hongjoong felt shoot through his heart and brain.
You caressed the girl's cheek before putting a blanket atop of her, snuggling her to sleep. You put the fairytale book you were reading her a bedtime story from on the shelf. You decided to leave the lamp on, just a bit more dimmed as you were not sure whether or not she was afraid of the dark. She fell asleep pretty quickly, and it was no wonder, for the whole day you were doing all kind of things together, playing pretend, fashion designer, telling stories, watching cartoons, eating. You tried to engage her in everything you could, you really gave it your all, and it was easy because she was indeed a pure angel child. You sat in the living room, lowering the volume of the tv in order to hear if she wakes up. You had time to peacefully look around the apartment which was an interesting fusion of an art and music studio, laced with the essence of a family home. You also noticed that the home was sparkly clean. You didn't know that that was Seonghwa's doing however. He was the last to babysit, just the day before you. He and the girl were playing fashion designer when Seonghwa made the grave mistake of commenting how she put too much glitter on a particular piece of clothing. Second after that he had a child proclaiming that he shouldn't question her fashion sense and glitter pretty much... everywhere. So after putting her to sleep he engaged himself in cleaning all the glitter, and cleaning glitter is not an easy job, not to mention that he himself resembled a disco ball with all the glitter he had in his hair. He somehow ended cleaning even the rest and who knows when he would have stopped if Hongjoong haven't arrived home. You basically absent mindedly gazed into the cartoon on the tv which was muted when your phone buzzed and brought you back to your senses. It was a message from an unknown number, but from the content of the message you figured it was Hongjoong.  Hongjoong: I will be back about 10 minutes.  You saved his contact before replying.  You: Thanks for giving me a notice, I will wait for you. I put her to sleep, so you have nothing to worry about.  And just like that you spent those 10 minutes watching a cartoon on mute before you heard a clatter of keys trying to unlock the door, but being unable to due the keys from the inside of the door.  "I'm coming."  You whisper-yelled, afraid not to wake the girl as you hurried to the door. You turned the keys and opened the door, smiling.  "Welcome home."  It was probably due to not having a chance to hear that often, but his heart slightly fluttered at your welcome and he couldn't help but smile a little.  "As I already mentioned, she is sound asleep..."  You trailed off as you went to pick up your belongings from the living room, not wanting to yell and as soon as you returned you started putting on your shoes.  "She is a wonderful child, you raised her very well."  You gave him a wide smile as you started putting on your coat.  "We made dinner together and left you some in the refrigerator so you can heat it up if you want. You must be tired so I will be going now."  As you took ahold of the knob, he took ahold of your forearm. You turned around, giving him a puzzled look as to which he just took out his wallet.  "No Hongjoong please, I did not do this for money. Besides, that child already repaid me with her smile, I really had a nice time today."  You shook your hands before your face in defense.  "There's no way I can let you leave without anything, you lost your whole day."  He took out his money and was handing it to you, but you were not an easy nut to crack.  "Can we make a deal then? If I happen to look after her again, I will accept, okay?"  He sighed in defeat, dropping the argument as it was leading nowhere. But that idea of you babysitting again, deep down he liked it.  "Alright, alright."  You exited the door waving at him.  "Why don't you at least let me call you a cab? It's pretty dark outside for you to be walking alone."  Shaking your head you turned to him.  "Don't worry about me, go back to that precious little child."  He nodded, closing the door.  "Hongjoong..."  He halted and looked at you expectantly.  "See you."  And like that, you parted.
Little did you know that she would want you to come look after her again and again and again. Hongjoong of course, refused her at first, not wanting to trouble you, but soon he just gave up. And you didn't mind really, that child grew onto you like on anyone she meets. This time you were just going to visit her for no particular reason, you just had free time. You knocked on the door you grew used to and the man you started to develop faint feelings for opened.  "Oh hi, come on in."  He gave you his usual smile and you obliged. Just after barely taking one shoe off you heard your name being shouted from across the hall by a little human who was running to tackle hug you.  "How's my favourite princess doing?"  She smiled from ear to ear, as she always did.  "Good! Daddy and I were just talking about you!"  You rose a brow as you shot a glance at Hongjoong who was smiling nervously.  "Daddy asked me if I would want you..."  She was unable to finish her sentence because Hongjoong interupted, cutting her mid sentence. "You know, we were just planning on going grocery shopping, so you don't have to take off your shoes if you wanna come with us."  You returned your attention to the child, whispering into her ear.  "You'll tell me later."  You smooched her cheek before raising back up nodding at Hongjoong.  "Let's go."
"Hongjoong, you forgot to get the tomatoes... How do you expect that we make the bolognese sauce without tomatoes?"  You waved in front of his face with a wooden spoon threateningly.  "Sorry, I was hindered by a certain small being that strongly wanted a package of gummy bears."  You just chuckled at his troubled expression.  "We can just improvise something then, I guess. At least she got what she wanted."  You nodded in the direction where the previously mentioned small being was eating her gummy bears, her attention on the cartoon playing on the tv.  "I have a weakness for her, what was I supposed to do."  Hongjoong gave you a troubled smile as he was growing scared of that wooden spoon in your grip. You couldn't resist the urge to ruffle his hair.  "Go rest, you were working for the whole day yesterday. Your eye bags are so big, they could be used as bowls."  He shook his head.  "I can't leave everything to you..."  You squinted your eyes and raised the wooden spoon back in his sight.  "We will all rest when we eat, how does that sound?"  You rolled your eyes at him jokingly.  "You were always a tough negotiator, have it your way."  Smiling to your agreement he let out a breathy laugh, not really sure how to react to the given situation. You were gifting him precious moments he could only dream of before. Like having someone to welcome him, see him off, look after him and his baby, make a meal for him, and all that just made him wish that he could do the same for you.
"Hongjoong, I am actually amazed at your cooking skills." You confessed as you plopped yourself on the couch, the little minion automatically manifesting on your side hugging you. Hongjoong went to sit on the other side of the couch before he was stopped by his little girl. "Daddy, I want you to sit here."  She patted the free spot next to her, and Hongjoong just obliged, placing himself next to you two.  "Now I want you two to hug me."  She giggled as if she knew exactly what she was doing. As you put your arms around the little minion and connected them on the small of Hongjoong's back, he did the same. Your head rested on his shoulder, inhaling the same scent from the first day when you met him, his head rested on your shoulder looking longingly at the one person he wished for from the first day he met you, and in-between you two, a brightly smiling child who loved both of you was seated.
And so again, you went to them, they came to you. When Hongjoong was working, you were babysitting and when he was free the three of you just casually spent time together. This one time, when Hongjoong returned from work you were still in the process of putting the minion to sleep. Hongjoong inspected you closely as you ran after the child while taking off his coat and boots and he couldn't help but smile. You halted for a minute to welcome him, while the minion was long gone from sight. As you turned back to go after her you could hear her voice from the room.  "Mommy hurry, I want you to read me a story before I fall asleep."  You froze to the spot and looked to Hongjoong wide eyed as he did the exact same thing. Your face welcomed a shade of pink as you turned around and marched forward, not being able to face him.  "C-coming princess."
"Hey Hongjoong."  You peeked inside the living room, finally mustering up the courage to face him after what happened earlier, but to your luck, or misfortune, he was asleep. You would have let him be and went home as it was that he even gave you the key to his apartment, but you couldn't leave him in such a uncomfortable position. He must have fell asleep while waiting for you. You shook him lightly by the shoulder, afraid not to startle him. Your heart fluttered the same time his tired eyes fluttered open.  "I just didn't want to leave you in an uncomfortable position, I will be leaving now. Get some rest."  You blabbered and were ready to leave.  "Could you stay... a bit longer?"  Originally, it would not have been a problem, but this time around your nerves were getting the better of you. However, not having a proper reason to refuse, you sat on the couch next to Hongjoong, sighing.  "May I?"  He was asking you to lay on your legs. Again, it wasn't the first time, but never before did he ask nor did you feel nervous while his soft features were beneath your reach. However, on instinct your fingers started playing with his hair and he momentarily relaxed. Feeling restless you just had the urge to start a talk about something, anything.  "Hongjoong, you never told me what happened to your...uhm...her real m..."  You found it quite difficult to word the sentence, luckily Hongjoong caught on and saved you the struggle.  "We had my princess when we were nineteen..."
Hongjoong and his girlfriend at the time didn't even plan marriage, a baby? Even less. But she found out she was pregnant and after a lot of negotiations and talking, they decided to keep the baby and promised that they would handle every obstacle on their way. Neither of them ever dreamed that their first and biggest obstacle were their own parents. Both sides gave them the cold shoulder, but not all hope was lost. They believed that when the baby is born, their parents would change their mind. It was a brutal strike to both of them when, even with the birth of their baby girl, nothing changed. They weren't making much and they could barely take care of even themselves. That is when the girl wavered. She was scared for her future and she insisted that they give the baby for adoption. Hongjoong however, didn't want to hear about it. He didn't want to give his precious treasure to some random stranger. He also couldn't care less about his parents rejecting him. They always treated him as if he was a nuisance, so what was the difference now. His girlfriend, however, left and he never blamed her for that. She lied to her parents that she put her child up for adoption, she split up with Hongjoong and broke off every contact with him and the baby out of fear that her parents would kick her out again. Through all that time the only person Hongjoong kept contact with was his brother. Even against Hongjoong's will his brother keeps sending him money from time to time. Hongjoong on the other hand sends him back videos and pictures of the little minion doing whatnot. This is the exact reason why Hongjoong is making sure to make her real uncle a part of her life as much as possible. The number of times the uncle burst into tears after hearing a little voice through the phone calling him to come and meet her is a large one. There was nothing he could do about that as he lived on the other side of Korea. The only thing his brother didn't tell Hongjoong is that their parents greatly regret their choices and want to see their grandchild. But Hongjoong will find out himself when and if they decide to let go of their stupid idea of pride.
"...and that's how the two of us ended up like this."  It was not until your tear fell on his face that he noticed that you were crying.  "Hey, don't cry for that."  He raised his hand in order to wipe away the watery paths that your tears left on your face.  "She now finally has a mum as she said. I can't thank you enough for playing that role for her, no let me take that back, you are not playing that role. After all this time of looking after her you can call yourself her mum."  His comment only turned on the faucet that let more tears fall.  "Thank you for saying so Hongjoong."  He rose from your legs and turned to face you.  "I didn't plan to do it like this but here it goes."  He cupped your chin and leaned into you, his only support being his other hand. Your heart went on a rampage, throwing itself randomly against your rib cage causing irregularities in your breath. Hongjoong softly smiled when he noticed your reaction, feeling reassured to carry on with his confession.  "I started attaching myself to you from the first time you stood on that door. At first I wasn't sure if that was because..."  You cut him off by placing your lips onto his in a sweet kiss unsure if your heart would be able to last through his whole speech. You pulled away shyly forcing yourself to look him in the eye. Now it was official, until now you were practically just a couple without that official stamp. It felt nice, it felt like home.  "You will tell me later, I wasn't sure if I was able to survive through it all."  You grinned and he shook his head, smiling as well before he leaned in again.
"Okay is everyone ready?"  You asked eagerly after hearing Hongjoong approach the door.  "I don't understand why we have to wear this."  Yeosang retorted, not amused in the slightest before Yunho appeared from behind him and pulled him into the room to hide like he was pulling him in a back alley to kidnap him, what made the situation more amusing was Yeosang's uninterested face.  "Come on Yeosang we don't have much time for questions."  Yunho whispered in his ear as they both disappeared into the darkness of the room. You sighed in relief as everyone was finally on their position just as you heard the keys and the door knob. And then there on the door appeared Hongjoong.  "Welcome home, come on sweetie."  You welcomed Hongjoong and guided his, no, both of your child to him.  "Daddy, mommy bought me a minion onesie, look!"  She ran up to Hongjoong and extended her arms up to him.  "It's beautiful love! What does it say here... I'm gonna be a sister..."  Hongjoong's eyes widened as his heart skipped a few beats and he would have jumped to hug you right then and there if he wasn't startled by seven men who ran at him at the same time, wearing a "I'm going to be an uncle (again)" shirts, pink shirts. Hongjoong's eyes widened again before he passed the child to Seonghwa to come and finally hug you.  "So another girl huh?"  You smiled widely back to him, nodding and he returned an even wider smile.  "What week are you?"  He caressed your still unnoticeable bump.  "The doctor said 15th, the stomach is going to start to show from here on."  He hugged you careful not to squish you too much.  "I love you, thank you for giving me everything and making me a happy man."  He pressed his forehead to yours.  "I should be the one thanking you, Joong."  Your lips met again just like they did yesterday and just like they will tomorrow.  "I want to hug with mommy and daddy too!"  And just like that your little intimate moment became a group hug of all the people you considered family.

 Song Mingi - Saturday 11:58
You laid calmly on the bed Mingi and you shared. The Sun grazed your figure trough the window. Everything was peaceful so you decided to occupy yourself with some writing in your diary while waiting for Mingi to return from the shoot he had since early in the morning. You were almost done with the paragraph, the fact that you had to turn the page to fit one more sentence annoyed you. But you forgot all of that when your phone rang, turning all of your attention towards it. You saw it was your friend calling, and you knew that it was not going to be a quick talk, but nevertheless you loved those conversations.
You didn't even pass the 15 minute milestone of the talk when you heard the bell ring. Knowing it was surely Mingi, you got up and opened the door welcoming him with a big smile and signaling to the phone. His mouth mimicked an "Oh alright" as he patted your head. He headed towards the bedroom to change as you went back to your conversation. The bedroom welcomed Mingi exactly as you left it. The sheets slightly wrinkled, and your diary left wide open, for everyone to see. Mingi went to see what it was as he didn't know it was your diary, if he did he would never even glance in its direction. And he wished he never did. The only words that were written read "I think I don't like my Mingi anymore". Mingi had to take a step back and put his hand on his chest as a giant lump formed in his throat. He sat on the ground next to the bed and buried his face in his knees he rose to his chest. He tried not to cry, but he was in a too big of a shock. He loved you with all his heart, and seeing those words just shattered his heart to dust. He rewinded the track of yesterday, the day before. He went all the way back to the day you met and tried to find if he did something wrong. The fact that he couldn't come up with anything scared him even more. If there was not any mistake to make up for, then that meant that you just stopped feeling the same way, that you didn't like him anymore just like that. He didn't blame you, he blamed himself for letting that happen. He doesn't know for how long he was like that, but hearing your footsteps down the hall and you calling his name, meaning that you finished your call indicated that it was for quite a while. He panicked, he didn't want you to see him in his current state. Just as you were about to twist the door handle he dashed out of the room, not raising his head from the ground and excused himself with a "I'm going out for a short while.". You didn't even get to ask him what was going on as you noticed that he didn't even change, when you saw the diary on the bed. He started getting his shoes on as you dashed to see what is the last thing you wrote, instantly feeling your gut drop to your heels as your brain processed the written words. You took the diary and shouted Mingi’s name at the top of your lungs and dashed to the hallway. Just as he was about to exit, you grabbed his hand. He halted for a second and you took that as your chance. "Mingi, please turn the page and read the whole thing." Your heart was pumping so hard you were on the verge of losing your breath, but it instantly stopped when Mingi turned around showing you his red, still watery eyes and swollen cheeks. Your own eyes teared up at the sight of his state, feeling guilty that you were the one who caused it. Without a word, Mingi took the diary from your hands, and turned the page, reading the whole thing, feeling like he didn't have anything else to lose as you held his hand tightly.
My favourite song
My favourite song is undoubtedly Song Mingi. The Song Mingi I accidentally bumped into one day, and couldn't get out of my head ever since. I had a severe case of a phenomenon called an "ear worm" from that particular song. If that wasn't love at first sight, I don't know what is. Just kidding. I don't believe in those things. As far as I am concerned, love needs time to develop. It is like a song you grow attached to. And with every sound and every word it grows onto you to the point where you wonder how you managed to live without it and you can't imagine your future without it. To me love isn't a separate emotion. It is just a group of different emotions that hit with higher intensity when a certain person is in question. If we say that love is a song, then all of the parts of it represent and cause a different emotion. I feel happiness at the melody of his laugh. I feel sadness when I don't hear the tune of his voice for a long time. I feel safe knowing that there is a song like him out there, ready to accept me just as I am. I feel hope whenever I am down, knowing that he has my back. I felt scared thinking that somebody else may recognize his brilliant tune and try to take him from me, but after all this time he assured me that his tune was made just for my ears. Every day he gives me a new verse of the song making the love grow. So after all this time of listening to that beautiful tune I realized something. I think I don't like my Mingi anymore
Mingi rose his head, puzzled. He wasn't sure what to think, as the start and the end didn't match up. You took the diary from his hands, and left it on the shelf next to you. Gripping both of his hands tightly, as a new warm coat of tears strained your cheeks, you said more sincere than ever. "I think I don't like my Mingi anymore... I have grown to love him more than anything." Your sight was blessed by the most honest and warm smile you have ever seen on him and his cheeks as well welcomed a new rush of tears. He couldn't voice his emotions well so he just hugged you tightly, like you were trying to run away. He rose you from the ground shaking you, causing you to giggle. Burying his face in the crook of your neck he said almost inaudibly muffled by your shirt. "You made me the happiest song. I promise to always make you happy because I love you too much for any other song on this world to be able to convey." And just like that you spend the rest of the day like it was your last.

Jeong Yunho - Saturday 02:37
How long was it since you gave up on sleep? A couple of hours must have passed. Your mind was preoccupied with the thoughts of him and it wouldn’t let you bat an eye. You couldn't stop thinking of his cute squishy cheeks, his pure joyous laugh and his tall slender body. You have never been so love sick. It all started with your curious glances toward the boy during class. However, it escalated when you noticed his curious glances on you as well. There was nothing sweeter than the moments where you two would lock eyes and, surprised that the other was already looking at you, you would both shyly avert your gaze, blushing. One day he took a seat next to you in class, and it has been like that ever since. At first you two didn't talk much, but he broke the ice by making small talk about school and school work. Even during those small talks, your heart had the habit of increasing its beat rate. Those small talks managed to open the both of you up, and during time they became deep conversations. You loved talking to him, the proof was the fact that you knew almost everything about him and loved every part of it. It was inevitable that the two of you would start hanging out. And just like that, a year passed with you two closer than ever but still far away, as neither of you confessed.
You loved how whenever the two of you hugged, due to his height, you could rest your head on his chest and hear his heartbeat. You loved how whenever you two watched a movie at either of your homes, you two would end up cuddling with his hand over your shoulder and your head on his shoulder. You loved how whenever there was music he would break out in a little freestyle dance, which was incredibly good, and eventually pull you in on it twisting and twirling you around. You loved how whenever you had your period he would bring his version of a first aid kit – period edition, as he calls it – filled with a packet of pads you use, sweets, a movie he chose, tissues and a pair of warm fuzzy socks. You loved how whenever you two had a test you would help each other out, but that would soon turn into a hangout, the studying long forgotten. You loved him and you loved that.
You sighed as you turned in your bed for who knows what time. You were not getting any sleep, that was evident. You wondered if he sometimes thought of you to the extent of not being able to sleep. But since when does that happen in real life. Especially in your life. As this was crossing your mind, your phone buzzed. Confusion took over your face as you reached for the phone, you were confused of who could be calling you in the middle of the night. The screen read "puppy". It was Yunho; he resembled a cute little puppy in your eyes, so that's where the nickname came from. You answered the phone faster than you blinked.
"Yunho?"
You proclaimed a bit worriedly; he never called you in the middle of the night.
"Hey, did I wake you up?"
His voice was low and calm, so you yourself relaxed.
"No, I... was awake."
You answered hesitantly, unsure if you should tell him you're not able to sleep because you couldn't tell him the reason. The reason being him.
"I couldn't sleep either."
You heard him let out a sigh on the other end. Then a short pause followed, before he literally whispered his next words.
"Can I come over?"
You abruptly raised your torso from the bed in surprise. It wasn't unusual for him to come over, but the way he was acting now was indeed unusual.
"Of course."
You got out of the bed and started marching up and down the room. He almost hung up on you there with a "See you in a few." but you prevented him by suddenly calling his name. Silence took over again, as you didn't really know what to say, you just didn't want to be without him a second more.
"Please hurry up."
And just like that, you were the one that hung up, afraid of saying something unnecessary.
Happiness washed over you as you opened the door to reveal the person you yearned for the most, Yunho. In no time, he wrapped his arms around you.
"I missed you."
He mumbled, his lips tangled in your hair. You chuckled, feeling the same, but instead you chose to tease him.
"But we literally went out this morning."
You felt his lips form a smile against your scalp.
"Shut up, I know."
He left a small, unnoticeable kiss on your temple before he moved away. A second longer, and he would have been tempted to spill his love for you then and there.
"So, what do you want to do? I usually don't plan activities for..."
You paused to look at the time.
"...3 in the morning."
By that time Yunho already made himself at home. He was sitting on the couch, the TV remote in his hand.
"How about we find something to watch?"
You nodded and filled the spot by his side, snuggling up next to him.
You settled on some chick flick, too tired to continue browsing channels. You both laughed at almost every scene as it was just too much to take. We all know that the way they portray relationships in those things is rarely realistic. But, not to be a hypocrite, that's how you imagined your metaphoric relationship with Yunho. You started drawing circles on his stomach with your finger as you imagined Yunho and you being the protagonists of the movie you were watching.
All was innocent until a heated scene came up. To be more specific, a scene where a girl was grinding on a boy. They were fully clothed and even if they weren't, you couldn't care less. The problem was that you had a picture of Yunho and you in that position. You unconsciously started fisting Yunho's shirt revealing a small part of his lower stomach. Feeling the change, Yunho looked down and chuckled.
"Don't tell me you're getting flustered over this. They aren't even doing it right."
He exclaimed chuckling once again, and lowering his hand to the small of your back before making his final comment.
"You're adorable."
You felt an incredible wave of heat rise to your cheeks, which was the only thing that justified the next move you made. You boldly straddled Yunho. His eyes widened for a second, but his hands found your hips and rested on them soon after. You figured you should use up the newfound boldness in you, so you leaned in for a kiss. What was the worst thing that could happen? It was Yunho turning his head away and rejecting you. Funnily enough, that is exactly what happened. Your breath cut short and your heart shattered. You couldn't move, so Yunho forced you back, pushing your shoulders with his hands. His face confused you, he was happy, smiling from ear to ear. In fact, he was beaming. He put his hand on you cheeks caressing them with his thumbs.
"I'm sorry I interrupted you, it's just... Well I wanted to take the first kiss."
And just like that, he pulled you in, kissing you. It felt exactly as you had imagined – perfect. You almost started crying from joy. Yunho pulled away for a second to spice things up with a comment. "Let's show this movie how it's done."
And his lips were back on yours in no time.

Park Seonghwa - Friday 17:49
"Hwa..." You said softly, trying to get the attention of the boy who was frantically looking around the bathroom, trying to find the first aid kit. "Love, it's just a small scrape, please calm down." You exclaimed, a little louder this time in hopes you got to him. But you had your hopes up too high, he didn't even register you talking. You would have gotten up from where you were seated, on the rim of the bathtub, and knocked some sense in him. But in all honesty, the scrape on your knee stung too much for you to do so. You were out with your friends, just rollerblading trough the park, when your wheel got stuck on a pebble. In the next moment you were on the ground, your knee scraped with small drips of blood running down your shin. You barely managed to ride back home, wincing in pain every few seconds. The most priceless moment was when Seonghwa opened the door to you, his face going from a wide smile to a freaked out expression. He swiftly took off your rollerblades and, while getting back up, picked you up on his shoulder, momentarily heading to the bathroom. His panic-stricken mumbling causing you to let out a light laugh. He panicked more than your mum panicked when you broke the very same leg while you were little. "Park Seonghwa!" This time you basically shouted. He froze, like he has just been abruptly woken up. He looked at you blinking a few times. "I'm fine, it's just a scrape, I think I'm going to survive." You chuckled, trying your best to reassure him. He nodded, kneeled before you and softly kissed the spot next to the scrape being careful not to hurt you. "Do you know where the first aid kit is?" He asked, visibly calmer. "I don't think you checked the top drawer, above the mirror." It was in that last spot he checked... panicking never brought anyone good. He was back in front of you in no time, taking out a big cotton swab and dipping it in alcohol. He wiped off the blood that dripped on your lower leg first, cleaning it. He worriedly looked into your eyes, as the part where he is supposed to clean the scrape came up. You smiled back at him, nodding for him to continue. He took another swab and repeated his actions from before, dipping this one in alcohol as well. You closed your eyes waiting for the stinging feel to spread throughout your knee, but instead the top of your formed fist was wrapped by a warm hand. Hands entwined, and it felt like the first time. You smiled and looked into his eyes that were smiling back at you. "It's gonna be okay, love." Of course it was, even if he told you it was going to be okay while the world was ending, you would believe him. He gently wiped away the dust and small pebbles that were still on top of the scrape. He slowed down or paused whenever he felt your grip tighten, not wanting to cause you any unnecessary pain. "Does it hurt a lot?" He asked, concern lacing his voice. "Don't worry Hwa, it doesn't hurt much." The pain was intense at first, but within seconds, it tuned down and you were left with a numb sting. He put iodine on it and covered it with a gauze, wrapping it all with a bandage. Holding your lower leg, like it was of some fine porcelain doll, he lowered his lips and planted another hot kiss just below your knee. "I'm sorry I acted unreasonably. I just didn't know what to think when I saw you hurt. You being hurt in any way is the thing that scares me the most." Your hand found its way into the strands of his hair caressing it before pulling him up to connect your lips with his. "I can't imagine my life without you." You breathed out in between kisses. Kisses sweet as honey.

Jung Wooyoung - Wednesday 14:17
It was one of those moments you wouldn't change for the world. You were cuddling with Wooyoung in his bed. Laying down on your sides, facing each other, you were combing trough his hair with your fingers, while he was nuzzling that cute face of his in your neck. "Woo..." You continued forming the rest of the question in your mind. He hummed inquisitively in response tickling your neck in the process and causing you to giggle. "Can I ask you a somewhat tricky question?" You felt hot breath on your neck caused by his chuckle, before your sight was graced by the presence of his beautiful face. He rose his eyebrow playfully before answering. "You already did." You rolled your eyes at him, not being able to fight back the smile caused by his oh so innovative joke. "Seriously Woo?" Now you were in on his eyebrow game, raising yours. He smiled warmly before pecking your nose. "Ask away." He placed his hand on your cheek, lightly stroking it with his thumb. "Uhm...well..." Now that it was actually the time to ask, you found yourself stuttering and unable to meet his gaze. The question wasn't complicated, but you didn't know if you actually wanted to hear the answer to it. The thing was, you noticed that the members often joke with Wooyoung on the subject of girls, calling him Casanova and whatnot. "Baby?" He furrowed his eyebrows, starting to get worried. "How many... I wanted to ask you how many girlfriends you had before me." The word "girlfriends" more whispered than said. You stuttered like you just learned your first words. His mouth formed a slight "o" and his gaze fell to where your legs were entwined, hiding his blushing cheeks. "Oh, that's what you wanted to ask me..." He trailed off, coughing to regain his normal voice. Seeing his reaction, you panicked, and jolted into a sitting position. You thought that you went too far and dug too deep into his privacy. You two had been dating for fairly long, but you were taking things slowly, enjoying every moment of your happy relationship. "You...You don't have to answer! Sorry I even brought that up. I went too far, it's none..." He cut your panicked blabbering off with a sweet kiss, pushing you back on the bed and hovering above you. "That's right. It's none." He smiled down at you after giving your lips one last playful bite and the answer to your question. You just laid there processing what you just heard, a smile growing on your lips not long after. You didn't know what answer you were expecting; honestly you weren't expecting any answer in particular. But you were still surprised. "So why do the boys joke about you like you were some playboy before me?" You giggled and brought your hands to his soft cheeks, drawing circles with your thumbs. "They're just teasing me whenever you're around. They're evil bullies, don't believe a word they say." You laughed at loud at his serious expression while warning you. "So I'm the first for my Woo." You smiled at the boy, changing the theme. He let out a breathy chuckle, shyly tearing his gaze from yours. You were all soft and pink inside, like your intestines were replaced by cotton candy. With your hands that were already on his cheeks you forced him to look back in your eyes, now your cheeks emitting a bright pink hue. "Well my Woo is first for me too." He softly moved loose strands of your hair from your face, and softly pressed his lips back to their rightful spot, your own lips. That sweet kiss will be something that will forever stay with you, in your happiest memories.

Actions speak louder than words

Kang Yeosang - Saturday 00:46
"I don't see the need. It's not like we don't spend almost every moment of every day together."
Yeosang proclaimed in a senseless manner, tearing your heart in the process. Well, he wasn't wrong. You were together almost every day for the last week and a half, but for a good reason; he was going on tour soon. The only thing you wanted is to spend as much time as you could with him before he leaves for who knows how long - too long. That is also what brought you in the spot you were in. You two were out, having a relaxing hangout in the city. And now you wanted to have a peaceful walk home with him. Yours or his home, it really didn't matter. You just wanted to enjoy his company, and have that warm fuzzy feeling of being by his side a little bit longer before it was replaced by emptiness due to him being far away.
"Yeah, you're right Yeosang. I'm sorry if I'm being too clingy."
You said, honestly feeling guilty, lowering your head to the ground.
For Yeosang, this was a red alarm. His face kept the same expression, but his heart dropped.
You may have not noticed, but every time you were feeling down or sad you would call him by his name, and avoid his gaze at any cost. He's known you long enough, so he had the time to study every aspect of you to the tiniest detail. He knows he can sometimes say unnecessary things, and he is silently very grateful to you for forgiving him every single time he lashes. He was not made of stone, however, he acted like it, but you knew better. You knew the real Yeosang, your Sangie. The little soft and cuddly boy. That is the exact reason you never took his harsh words to heart. They hurt, of course, but the love he had for you was enough to heal it all. Nobody is perfect. When we love someone, we blindly tolerate their imperfections.
Suddenly, you found yourself in a pair of warm arms. Then came the love that healed you once again.
"Princess, let's go for that walk, shall we?"
He murmured, his lips strangled with the locks of your hair. You smiled as he lowered one hand to grip yours, then slowly brought it to his mouth and gently kissed the knuckles. "We're going to my place, and I'm not letting you go until I leave for tour." He smiled warmly as he tugged your hand to start walking.
"I really love you, Sangie."
There it was, the reason he woke up happy every morning. The happiness in his life.
"Yeah."
He simply replied with a smile on his face, but you weren't mad or disappointed. Yes, he was bad at voicing his emotions. But his actions spoke louder than words ever could. And they proved to you multiple times that he loved you too.
