Ama stood up straighter when she spotted Jessica near her and smiles at the dark haired girl. “Hey! Thanks, I look casual compared to you!” She replied, looking at Jessica flattering dress and heels. They both complimented her and looked great on. Ama followed Jessica into the car and sat down in the passenger seat nodded in response to her words. She skipped one or two songs before an upbeat sing with a heavy bass started and she left the phone alone.

As Jessica began to drive, Ama glanced out of the back window at Chilton. She couldn’t understand what was behind the relief she felt when she left but it felt good to get away. “So… I haven’t been here before, I don’t think. Or if I have then I can’t remember.” She started off, lamely. “Do you think you’ll hook up with anyone tonight?” Ama asked curiously, as Jessica took a turn out of the school grounds.

Though she considered Jessica a friend, Ama wasn’t too sure about how to act around her. Before, she’d just have tried to act as nice as possible like she did with the other’s but she had agreed to go out partying with Jessica. Things could quite possibly get out of hand and if she drank a lot, Jessica would see that Ama had to work hard to be nice to people anyway.

In the end she decided not to think about it. If she got drunk and acted out then she could blame it on the alcohol. For now she just went with asking something simplistic and common. “I don’t know much about the new students because I’m not much of a social butterfly. There anyone new you’ve got your eye on? Or is there anyone who stands out particularly?”

Jessica closed her pink laptop computer after agreeing to meet up with Ama and pushed in her chair, glancing outside the window and deciding that layers would probably work out to balance the cold autumn and the inevitable heat in the club. She made her way over to her closet and open its doors, her eyes scanning over the options. Jessica had always prided herself on being dressed for the occasion…whatever occasion that might be.

When she emerged from her closet, Jessica had a satisfied smile curved on her lips. She wore a metallic dress that covered up her upper body but showed off her long thin legs which ended in a spark of color for her favorite royal blue wedges. Painting her lips a vibrant shade of coral and quickly touching up her makeup, she grabbed a leather jacket and her purse, kissed Frankie goodbye as he lay snoozing in his little bed and locked her door.

Jessica pulled her jacket about her as the wind blew harshly against her face. She frowned. Not good for her complexion at all.

She had spent a little time with Ama before. The girl was nice, she supposed, and pretty too. Jessica bit her lip as she spotted her waiting by her car. The night was sure to be interesting. That was all that was known. To be completely honest, Ama was an enigma to her, and that was what intrigued Jessica the most. Mystery. Questions yet to be answered.

“Hi!” Jessica greeted as she approached Ama, giving the girl a friendly hug. “How’ve you been?” She eyed her dress. “You look gorgeous, by the way.” She offered the girl a warm smile before ushering her into the passenger’s seat, whipping out her keys. Slipping into the car, she stuck her keys into the ignition while plugging in her phone to the car speaker system. “You DJ, I drive,” she instructed before looking behind her to back out of the parking spot.
