I am once again reminding people:

tumblr doesn't give you a reason when they ban you.

they tell you to contact support about it.

but they don't tell you that you can't contact support with the email from your banned account.

and if you send an email from your banned account it goes nowhere.

and you don't receive any confirmation that they didn't receive it, you just get nothing.

Tumblr support doesn't want to help you and doesn't want you to pursue finding out why your account was banned or getting it restored.

tumblr staff REALLY do NOT want this comic on this site despite it including NOTHING that could be deemed inappropriate, especially when compared to to the usual shit they let pass

if i can't even have this completely safe for work comic on my blog, i don't even wanna be on this site anymore. but i guess that's exactly what they want, that's why they recently went on a trans woman banning spree, not even bothering to give reasons for some, let alone good reasons

Wow, just noticed yet another instance of a trans women who appears to have had her account nuked for making a post about tumblr's obviously broken and biased moderation system, and the offending post appears to have been scrubbed from the site (I went looking for my reblog from less than a week ago and it's just gone).

Tumblr staff can not have it both ways. You cannot say the blatant instances of anti-trans hate speech and harassment, much of which does get reported, are abhorrent but technically not in violation of the terms of service under the excuse of "free speech" when you are at the same time deleting accounts for merely criticizing how you run this place!

At the risk of having my own account scrubbed I gotta say, that is some stunning hypocrisy. Also, I think the previous sentence demonstrates that this has a chilling effect! The way the TOS is being unevenly applied and the utter lack of clarity on how these decisions get made, makes the rest of us feel afraid to speak up. None of us know where exactly the lines are and it kinda seems like they're drawn and enforced according to staff's arbitrary whims!

Tumblr's reply to the situation with CEO's transphobia is pathetic and you should not be thanking them for doing the bare minimum of saying he's not speaking for them. They fucking thanked that bitch.

The affected trans women are still banned.

A transphobic manchild offered no proper apology. Or stopped. He is also still in his position.

Unexpected side effect to transitioning: For some reason now it’s easier to smile and groove to songs I like and even sang for one of my friends a few weeks ago. Is that the thing called confidence?
