A Tarot Spread for Endings
Because I see a LOT of tarot spreads regarding making a decision about whether or not you should leave a friendship/relationship/job/situation, but never any on how to actually DO IT. This spread is going to be best AFTER a reading regarding whether you should stay or go, and analyzing the current state of things (I mean, unless you're already pretty sure of your decision). But for when you're like "OK OK I get it, it's gotta end, but how" here's a spread:
1. What is my feared outcome of this conversation/confrontation/break up?
2. How do I access courage and strength to do this?
3. What energy is needed for the best outcome to occur or to effectively approach this person?
4. What should I avoid in my approach/conversation?
5. What boundaries are needed regarding this person/situation afterwards? (A note: I often got "the boundary needs to be with yourself in not letting yourself obsessively ruminate on everything afterwards" and such, so don't forget that we need boundaries with ourselves as much as with others sometimes)
6. How can I best take care of myself and heal after taking this action?
The position of the cards doesn't matter much to me, I tend to lay them out as I draw them. Hence no picture. If you get something like "no conservation will be beneficial this person is dangerous and you need to just get the fuck out" please listen?? Ok good luck!

🔮 Sowing The Seeds [An Oracle Spread] 🔮
*ˢᵃᶠᵉ ᵀᵒ ᴿᵉᵇˡᵒᵍ
This is a repost of an old spread I initially designed for use with Andy Swartz / SkullGarden’s Earthbound Oracle deck, released in 2015, due to the deck’s wonderful capacity for use with self scrutiny and Shadow Work. I recently dug it, however, up for February 2022′s Hagging Out event, which was Divination themed, and adapted it for similar religious uses with Fez Inkwright’s new Seed and Sickle Oracle, released in 2021, with great success; my original post is here.
At the request of @goddess29, I’m posting the full workup of both variations of the spread for anyone who wants to use it. If you need any help or have any questions, please feel free to ask them.
Please keep in mind before asking questions that this spread was explicitly intended for use with Oracle Decks. I cannot guarantee that it will work with systems like Tarot or Bicycle Cards- and it very likely will not work with systems like Lenormand. I also cannot promise that it will work with all Oracle Decks (as Oracle is not a coherent system, so much as it is a catch-all term for decks that do not belong to individual systems).
Tumblr media
Cards 1, 3, and 5 are The Seeds. In Shadow Work, these are the traits you need to cultivate within yourself in order to improve spiritually, and in order to heal your traumas. In religion and spirituality readings, these are the spiritual acts you need to perform or focus on in order to move forward on your religious path.
Cards 2, 4, and 6 is The Soil. In Shadow Work, this is the trauma, traits, behaviors, and so on which are currently obscuring or otherwise hindering your ability to heal and move forward. Within religious or spiritual readings, however, soil takes on an opposite meaning; instead, it is the behavior, traits, virtues, and so on that will help you to cultivate your path and “nurture your seeds” so-to-speak.
In all cases, the Soil only applies to the individual Seed which it overlaps; these are microcosmic events, traits, and the like, and do not impact one another within the reading outside of their individual pairings; technically you could add as many of these pairings to the reading as you pleased.
Card 7, 8, and 9 are The Sun, The Clouds, and The Rain respectively. In both types of readings, these are the overall conditions that need to be met in order to make the changes and cultivate the growth you need in order to properly move forward (or keep moving) instead of remaining stagnant.
In all cases, these apply not just in regards to the individual goal, but in regards to the overall goal and path; this is the macrocosmic view that encompasses the whole.

Spiritual Guidance
-Tarot Spread
for when you’re feeling lost/stuck/distressed regarding your spiritual journey; perhaps you feel you’re losing faith
[i made & used this and it seriously helped me so much]
Tumblr media
Where am I now/what state am I in, spiritually?
What I want/where I want to be, spiritually.
The root of the issue, what caused these feelings of distress. Wether you’re aware or not, this card will tell the deeper depth of the problem.
What is keeping you feeling this way or your anxieties about & affecting your situation.
Where you have been, what you have learnt/seen on your spiritual journey.
Where you are going. If the card is negative, this simply means to follow the advice given throughout the reading in hopes to avoid said outcome; if positive, this tells your outcome following the advice.
What should I keep/take with me moving forward?
What should I leave behind to positively move forward?
What is my power/what will support me as I go?
What challenges might I face as I continue my spiritual journey?
The advice card; this card will give you knowledge as to what you should or should not do to break out of this distress and get back on track.
Finally, this card will entail what you can expect following the given advice.
Best wishes to you all! 🔮💜

The Shadow Situations Spread is something I created for myself a little while ago. I couldn’t shake the feeling I was missing something important from my personal divinations and introspection. I created this spread to show not only what I messages I was missing, but what I was willfully ignoring, the stuff I didn’t want to face. This isn’t really a light or easy spread, but as I have used it for myself its been wonderfully enlightening. It also gives good advice.
Anyway:
The special thing about this deck is that you draw cards from the bottom of your deck, rather than the top. Just shuffle your deck like normal, while thinking of the situation or question. When it ‘feels right’ stop and start pulling cards from the bottom of your face-down deck until you have all the cards laid out as pictured.
1)Your Perception of The Situation: aka What you think is going on.
2)What You’re Missing: Pretty self explanatory
3)What You’re Willfully Ignoring: You know this is going on, somewhere, but you just aren’t facing it like you need to.
4)What Your Intuition Is Trying To Tell You: The Answer to 'oh deer lord I feel like I’m missing something. constantly’
5)What You’re Actually Asking: I have a hard time phrasing my tarot questions to answer the question I really need. Then I did this reading for myself I actually got The Answer and not The Question thankfully.
6)The Reality of The Situation: Not influenced by your biases, this is what is really going on.
7)What Could Make This Situation Worse: aka What not to do.
8)What Could Make The Situation Better: aka What to do.
So yeah! Look at my new spread, the first I’ve ever made from scratch, I hope you like it! Any feedback is welcome and please tag me if you ever post a reading of it, I’d love to see!
If you would like me to do a reading for you check out my shop: Iced Shadows Tarot! I just added a lot of spread options over the last several days.

SO here is the draft of the Haunted House spread…normally at this point in a spread, I would do a few readings with it, see if it answers my questions, if I like the way it reads, the way it weaves together…
BUT as it happens I don’t actually have anything I can use to test this spread with XD So I’m posting it and anyone who CAN test this spread – feel free to! And then tell me what you think. But specifically walk-your-talk, since this is for her XD
So here are the current positions:
Card 1: The House’s Past
Card 2: This is a more general past card – I know from experience that sometimes it’s not so much a HOUSE’S history that causes a haunting, so this second past card is meant to be more of the suspected SPIRIT’S past/the past that led to the haunting. If it IS the house then this can expand or clarify the first card, but if it isn’t, this will help you get a past insight.
Card 3: The Spirit itself – I did do a test reading with this, but I had a fictional situation I was reading for XD I decided to go with my earlier experience of a spirit attached to an object…the card I got in my test reading was the Four of Coins, haha.
Card 4: What the spirit wants
Card 5: The effect of the spirit/energy on the people within the house
Card 6: What to know about the situation Optional Cards 6a-6b: If you want more information here, this is the space to lay out more cards for it.
Card 7: What to avoid – the stuff you DON’T want to do. Optional Cards 7a-7b: Again, these are here if you want more clarification or are worried there’s anything else you shouldn’t attempt in dealing with the spirit.
Card 8: The action to take.
Optional Cards 9-10: These are the optional cards requested for the professionals who might be dealing with this situation. I positioned them so that they’re supporting the action to be taken by the homeowners.
SO YEAH. Lemme know what you think – if there are questions that you still need answered or anything that you don’t think works for the spread.

I really need to stop talking about the things I can’t stand. I always end up closer to them afterward.
So, I hate the practice of pulling clarifying cards. I feel like, most of the time, if I don’t understand a card, I just need time to let it unravel for me. Which is fine when I’m on my own, but when I do readings for other people, I’m usually in a situation where they want their answer now. And despite my own personal distaste for it, other people are going to go on pulling clarifying cards.
So I figure, if I can’t end the practice, I might as well make it more tolerable to me. One of my biggest problems with clarifying cards is that often they tend not to clarify anything at all. I thought that using a spread might be more helpful, as the positions will help to understand exactly what’s being clarified.
This is also a really unusual thing for me – this is the first draft of the spread. I wrote down what I would find myself wanting to be clarified, came up with an initial layout…and it all worked really well in my test readings, so I didn’t change anything.
Card X is the card being clarified. This can be a card you tend not to get in general or a card that you haven’t understood in a spread. It's possible to pull this card randomly from the deck and see what the other cards have to say about it. I personally won’t do that – my test readings weren’t very successful with that method.
Card 1 is what you already know about the card. Something I’ve noticed about this position is that you may not KNOW you know this.
Card 2 is what you need to know about the card. Again, you may already know this. You may not, though. Understanding this is the key to understanding the card.
Card 3 is what you need to do in order to understand the card. This might not be a physical action you need to take – it may be a change in mindset you need in order to see it clearly.
Card 4 is the card’s message for you at this time. The same card can tell you a different thing each time you pull it. But this is for understanding what’s happening NOW.

It’s time for Saturday Spreads! This week I’m going to be bringing a larger spread to the table. (Excuse my terrible art skills, the Five is supposed to be aligned with the three, how the 4 and 7 are.)
Anyway! This spread is called Who I Am and Where I’m Going. It can be used as a daily practice, though I feel it might get redundant. It is meant to help you explore yourself a little more thoroughly.
Card One: This is who I am now. (Qualities or such that you may or may not see). Card Two: This is what I don’t know about myself. (These could be hidden qualities that you also do not see.) Card Three: This is what I need to relinquish. Card Four: This is what I need to develop. Card Five: What I’d love to become. Card Six: My Current Quest Card Seven: Where it will lead. (Possible outcome).
Spread is © to The Tarot Bible.

Interesting reading, this month looks like I’m going to be facing some fears, being more open and although it may be a struggle, I will start to heal and look after myself better.
