Wow, I didn't think people would still be following even though Skins US was cancelled ages ago. :)

Hello everyone! I know this is a bit late to the party, but hopefully you caught the ever so lovely Britne Oldford (who played Cadie) on American Horror Story: Asylum as Alma Walker, and the sweet and spicy Sofia Black D'elia as Sage Spence on the sixth and final season fo Gossip Girl! If not, then start streamin', bitches :)

Though the show may be over (without even alerting the actors and staff beforehand. Nice one, MTV), please support these wonderful actors in any other roles they pursue!

I will be keeping this blog up.

i will have posts on queue. however, with the 20+ hours i've been getting at work and all, the posts will be at a stand still unless willow posts everynow and then.

I am upset about the US skins cancelling. I find it VERY low of MTV for not having the respect for the actors in not telling them first before telling the whole world about it. But, what can you expect when a television channel plays shits shows like Teen Mom, 16 & pregnant, RJ Berger and other shitty reality shows. They may be "cheap" but MTV stands for MUSIC Television, not Snooki Reality TV. Anyways, It's sad to see that RJ gets renewed when they had less viewers than Skins did. Shows how much they didn't really care about the show when it was going on it's own at the end and I was excited to see how it would go in the 2nd season. The PTC can go take care of their kids instead of wasting their time critizing about how violent and sexual shows are. How about this? Why don't you go take care of your kids, realize what your kids are actually doing when they become teenagers and face reality. You are so deep in denial about teens today, it makes me sick to think that you think kids are such angels.

Anyway, I'd like to say thanks to the 900 followers! You're great and I appreciate you loving the show just as much as I do.

By the way, for the people who've got the DVD of MTV Skins. Are the episodes censored too? Just wondering. Let me know.

Assuming this is one of those times where Entertainment Weekly can believed, weirdly, I’m kinda sad about this, mostly for Bryan and the cast, because they worked so hard to get the show off the ground. 

Sometimes, the numbers are good enough, and despite the odds, it did outperform RJ Berger, which got renewed, but sometimes the disconnect between a show and it’s audience are just too wide to traverse, and this is one of those times.  Had Bryan decided to create an entirely new show based on the Skins template, I feel like it would’ve had a better chance at survival. From a fan perspective, we can all say we saw this coming, because the window of opportunity for renewal had long since gone, but still, making anything float in television is hard, even before you add in all the obvious difficulties they faced in translation and all the furore during airing, but I don’t think we should be cheering too loudly. It’s a bit of hollow victory. I hope it’s not indicative of the Skins brand as a whole.
