People who shit on Duolingo as a learning method are the bane of my existence. No, Duo won't make you fluent. But, it is a GREAT tool for BEGINNERS, especially those who find it difficult to study with traditional methods.

#exactly i use it as a starting point to get familiar with things. i’ll also listen to music in my target language to aid pronunciation #then when i’ve learned enough for simple conversation i shift to watching movies (and continue with duolingo as far as it goes) #no i won’t ever be an expert in another language but i’m perfectly happy just getting to b2 level (or even b1 for some) #my reason for using duo? ‘i’m poor’ lol. but it works for me :)

I asked my (23M, human) orc gf (25F, orc) to stop deadlifting my family members when she comes over for the holidays because it makes me looks small and weak, and now she and the rest of her clan keep forcing me to run laps and lift whole roasted hogs when I visit for orc holidays. AITA?
