My dear Rythias
I fear this will be my last entry.  Knowing this day could be my last, I called Rythias into my room and we talked for a bit. At the end of our talk I gave him a locket. It was made of silver and on the front, there was a gilded rose engraved into it.  On the inside there was a portrait of me, and an inscription for him to follow for the rest of his life only for him to tell those he wished. I will miss all my family, but I will dearly miss my sweet Rythias, an extension of myself.  Goodbye my loves.

Sarah, my sweet precious girl
It is getting harder to write these entries as the sickness takes a stronger hold on me and it breaks my heart for my family to see me in this condition, but they are persistent on seeing me, and taking care of me.  My sweet Sarah, my daughter and middle child, sat with me today.  It took all the strength not to break down and cry when I saw her tears begin falling from her eyes.  I reached up and wiped them away and said “Don’t cry my dear, there is still hope I will make it,  and if not I will live on through you.”

I am scared
It’s been two days since my last entry, and I have taken a turn for the worse. This sickness is overcoming me and taking hold of my body and I am scared.  No not scared of death, I am scare for my children who will finish growing up without their mother.  Jack, my oldest son, came to visit me today while I lay in my bed.  I saw the worry in his eyes, and I reassured him that all will be fine.

Nothing to worry about.
I began getting sick today, but it did not stop me from working on the farm and spending time with my family.  Rythias, my youngest son who is ten, is continuing to soak in my teachings about elven lore I have told him.  He is such an entertainer; there is no doubt when he gets older, he will become a bard. It is time for me to sleep; until next entry good night.
