Propaganda: I am Pyxe but I think I do pretty good with writing and art! I co-created the deity au and made the mad scientist au, plus I think I’ve done neat art. Apologies if it’s selfish to submit myself, I just thought it would be fun to play along.

Relevant reason for being submitted: Her fics are always enjoyable to rewd

Liz is one of the most skilled and dedicated writers in the community, which is immediately evident to anyone who reads her writing. She specifically writes (human) Perryshmirtz, but shares the love for many of the PNF cast throughout her work on Ao3. She’s a writer who is immediately memorable to those who’ve read her fics, from large scale intrigue plots to 1-2 chapter character driven self-indulgence, her work always stands out. I would say she’s especially relevant having recently participated in the tumblr pshmirtz wedding event, and having concluded her novel-length “Better Left Unsaid” fic in late 2023.

I met her because she decided to write a fic about a Perryshmirtz comic I made that got shared a bit and messaged me with it in dms, and was so nice that we never stopped talking. Manages her adult woman real life job and still has a creative out put rate higher than most people will accomplish in half the time. I can tell you she puts lots of love and research in to them too. I recently made her a 2 part floor plan for an upcoming PnF mystery fic she’s writing, just because she wanted to be absolutely sure where everything and everyone was to plan the story more effectively. Girl cares about the quality of her writing! And did I mention english isn’t her first language? She’s a God amongst men. I also remember her researching the state of Ohio to be accurate in “Better Left Unsaid” (my favorite thing from her,) which she really didn’t need to do. Always going the extra mile.

Contestants may add their own propaganda however they see fit, provided it does not put down the person they are against, and if they continue it will be added to the next poll they are in. All round 1 matches were randomly generated, and anyone may drop out at any time.

i genuinely wonder how many people watch hazbin hotel who are over the age of 18. that’s not me making fun of the fanbase or the show or anything, but i find it interesting, i feel that the fanbase is very strongly composed of teens

hazbin hotel is an “adult” show and all but its kind of perfect for older teenagers in how shamelessly juvenile the humor is, combined with the picture-perfect deviant art freelancer making edgy ocs kind of vibe. which i think is a detriment to an extent, but honestly, it’s what makes it unique, and i’m glad it exists

edit: THANK YOU for the polls and answers and everything, and everyone should read the notes and comments for a more detailed discussion. what i’ve been seeing frequently is that folks loved the pilot when they were older teenagers / young adults, and once the show came out they continued to love it. that makes a lot of sense. also, i feel the need to mention, my thoughts on hazbin hotel have become much more overwhelming positive now that season one has concluded. i hope you’ve all seen it by now

NOMINATIONS FOR THE AWARDS

Hello all!! As previously noted, this is going to be an awards poll/ceremony for the dwampyverse fandom!

All types of creators and interesting people will be spotlighted here, and I've decided that everyone submitted and ok with being included will get an award of some kind!

There will be three categories of awards: General(Favorite Writer or Funniest Fic), Fandom Specific(Most Milo Murphy's Law Art or Most Phineas and Ferb Trivia), and Specific Ones That Don't Fit Anywhere Else For Specific People Because This Isn't Just For Big Names In The Fandom(Will be simplified to just One-Off)(Most Interesting Self-Made Merch or Silliest Impression)

In addition, those categories will be split into two sections: People(talented or underrated people in the fandom) and Works(fanworks on their own, separate from the creator, and hopefully a lot of classics or big projects)

These are all examples, with the only currently set awards basically being the big ones: Favorite Writer, Favorite Artist, and Most Influential Work. There will be a number of smaller ones, along w the more specific ones for individuals! Please feel free to suggest any awards you would like to see/get, as the low number is simply because we don't know how many people will sign up/be submitted.

Keep in mind that while you can nominate anyone, there are inevitably people in this fandom that have my main blocked, and unless they specifically ask to be entered, they will not be nominated out of respect for their boundaries. In addition, as stated multiple times, if anyone who has themselves/their works submitted does not want to be in these polls, they can drop out at any time!

Submissions end in 30 days, on Feburary 25th, or 2/25/24! If we get a massive amount of submissions, this might end early.

I will stay unbiased on my own blog and this one, even if I myself am submitted, dw.

spotted this sticker outside my apartment building and I think it illustrates an important point about the moment we’re in.

on a surface level this is something that a lot of people who consider themselves antizionist would agree with. but take 10 seconds to google the url at the bottom and you’ll see that this is a sticker for a neo-Nazi group.

“We serve one nation” is a reference to the dual loyalty trope, the idea that Jews can never be loyal to America because they are first and foremost loyal to Israel.

There are a lot of hate groups taking advantage of the moment we’re in. It’s easy to replace “Jew” with “Zionist” and get a lot more people to agree with them. Do not fall for it.
