Why do people collect?

At some point in our journey, we all started collecting something. Movies, songs, clothes, pictures, cards, postcards...

Depending on our age we are all serial collectors and we all collected something.

Think about it, we all own a phone with a collection of images that we consider precious.

Collecting is part of us, it is a human trait. And anyone who doesn’t own anything can feel miserable.

Why do people collect art?

I ask this question to more than 4000 people. And I have zeroed in on the answer.

People collect art to treasure something they felt in the past. To experience something beautiful again whenever they choose to do so.

Collecting art means supporting artists. And God only knows how much society needs good enlightened artists.

In this case, our collector chose a certified reproduction of the David, a staggering 10 feet heigh watercolor.

Two pictures! Where I started and where I currently am. One is in Verona at the Fine Art Academy and the other is in New York City. I am very happy to announce that I published my first book. After these two years of work, I went through different stages and this is my attempt to document my work. Each collection is a unique theme and tackles different topics. For example, in the Romeo and Juliet collection (2021) each painting is a stage of the story. I wanted to create this book because I feel is important to document the work done.
