Fuck dude. Seeing all these Palestinian people sharing videos of themselves and their family before everything is making me tear up a bit. Remember that Palestinians aren’t a statistic. That one person that died was someone’s father, brother, sister, mother, child, friend, lover, or someone’s reason to continue living. Everyone in these clips and photos you see online had jobs, had dreams, went to school, played outside with their friends, made art, loved one another, helped there friends, owned pets, had plans for the future, had achievements they were proud of. Each life lost is an absolute tragedy.

There’s no replacing everything around you that you love. Don’t think that Palestinians can just replace everything that they loved.

She often told her friend Mohammed, "If I am killed, write about me and tell the world about my dreams. Tell them that I had undergone LASIK surgery a few months ago and started seeing Gaza with my own two eyes.

Reem Mahmoud Abu Daya is not just a number; she will be remembered. Reem, along with her family, was martyred in an Israeli airstrike on January 7, 2024.

This illustration is for Motaz Azaiza, one of the many brave palestinian journalists that have constantly risked their lives so we can see the truth.

While I admire him for his resilience and strength, which has turned him into a real-life hero to our eyes, I truly pray for a future where he can be just a photographer, free from the tragedy and violence that has constantly surrounded palestinians.

That wish is the same for all journalists, children, women and men of Palestine, which is why I urge everyone to keep demanding and fighting for a permanent ceasefire and freedom of Palestine.

Thank you to Motaz Azaiza for being a source of hope in the middle of chaos.
