CAS reflection
The CAS experience was a brilliant opportunity to enhance my skills and motivate me to strive for improvement in the fields I enjoy most. Furthermore, it allowed me to participate in service actions, helping the local community.
My biggest challenge throughout the CAS experience was searching for a meaningful service that would enable me to help others. I managed to contact a friend of my family working in a volunteering organisation called "Szansa". She then granted me an opportunity to work as a volunteer in an aviation institute in warsaw or participate in a tutoring programme targeted to the local community.
Through the CAS experience, I became a better chess player and was determined to spend my free time more often actively and, most importantly, engage in helping the local community.
Moreover, the CAS programme enhanced the development of many skills and habits crucial in later employment. Firstly, due to the CAS project, I significantly improved my skills in teamworking and planning. Secondly, my time management and self-determination drastically improved, because of the creativity part, as I wanted to practise and learn chess as often as possible; thus, some adjustments had to be made.
The easiest learning outcome for me was to "demonstrate that the new challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process", as my whole creativity base was grounded on the assumption of furthering my chess knowledge through rigorous training. However, the learning outcome that was most challenging for me to obtain was "Recognise and consider the ethics of choices and actions", as I could only achieve it in the service section of my CAS.

Today, I had classes with my student. We continued to study for an upcoming exam, and we did some exercises related to areas of different figures, mainly triangles and trapezoids. Providing tutoring is a great opportunity for me to enhance my teaching skills and for the student to obtain much-needed help with the subject.

Today was the day of our basketball tournament. We got early to the gym to bring in the equipment and give directions to our friend who was taking the pictures throughout the tournament. After discussing the structure of our tournament and going through the bracket we familiarized the players participating in our tournament with the rules.

The news about our planned tournament spread quickly. Thus we decided to create a group on messenger with every participating team to enhance communication and coordinate dates with them. We had already planned everything for our tournament; we borrowed balls and acquired some prizes for the winning team.

I described how the subject looks, what's the curriculum and how Ia's are performed. Afterwards, I answered some questions, giving more details on the subject. This was a great opportunity to help other students struggling to make one of the most important choices in their academic careers.
