Thank you ever so much ❤️
Hi, I'm good thanks! We have some Cinderella aus here, and I've got more now...
Raven by desk_mess (T)
King Gabriel's son, Prince Ezra, is coming of age to take a wife for themself. A servant-girl, Antonia, dreams of escaping the clutches of her cruel step-mother and step-sisters. Little do they know they have someone looking out for them. After all, it's ineffable. (Good Omens Cinderella AU) (Rated Teen for Language and Implications.)
A Midsummer Midnight’s Dream by pilatesandpinot (E)
Aziraphale Fell dreams of becoming an actor and dancer but instead lives in servitude to his wicked stepfather and stepsisters. When a mysterious duke invites all of the eligible bachelors and bachelorettes to the Midsummer Masquerade Ball, he thinks he’s found his escape. His stepfamily shuns him from attending, though that’s not something Aziraphale or his sassy godmother will take laying down. Will Aziraphale find his happily ever after, even if it’s not entirely what he expected? A Cinderella/Fairytale inspired AU
Cinderfall by a_serpent (G)
Azira Fell had a really though childhood - his parents died and he had to live with his terrible stepmother and stepbrothers. Everything changes when one day Az meets intriguing (and deadly handsome) redhead stranger.
Cinderphale by Ezra_Oakenshield (G)
As the title suggests, this is a rewrite of "Cinderella" with the Good Omens characters. After the death of his mother, Aziraphale is at the mercy of his cruel adopted siblings. They reduce him to a lowly servant. The solace he finds is with his animal friends, his bookkeeper friend from town, the mysterious blank book that she gave him, the prospect of the three-night ball at the palace, and a certain handsome red-head with dark glasses.
Cinders Bound by Golden Crown by AJ_Constantine (E)
Good Omens Alpha Beta Omega Cinderella AU From the far end of the ballroom Prince Aziraphale’s eyes locked on Crowley as he raised his hand beseechingly. Crowley couldn’t look away from him if his life depended on it, although he was keenly aware of the increasing number of eyes joining the Prince’s to stare at him standing frozen on the dais. As he realized that he was incapable of not answering the silent call of the bright Alpha below him, a calm washed over him, acting as a soothing balm over the jagged edges of his seething emotions. Just breathe. He inhaled shakily as he began descending the steps to the ballroom floor. Prince Aziraphale mirrored his steps, stepping forward to close the distance between them. The sea of nobles between them parted like waves receding from the shore as they moved closer. When Crowley drew close to the Prince, his hand slowly rose to settle in the Alpha's outstretched one. The Prince looked at Crowley's face searchingly. His voice was quiet yet ringing with intent as he asked, "May I have this dance?"

My access to AO3 at home was recently blocked by the website filtering program my husband maintains. Aghast at the atrocity, I was compelled to tell him of my outrage in prose.
Tumblr media
Dear Internet Overlord (husband),
I pen this missive with an air of utmost dismay and disbelief, for it has come to my attention that your internet system is exhibiting a most egregious behavior—the blockage of access to the AO3 website.
The sheer audacity of this act is an outrage of the highest magnitude, and I find myself compelled to express my profound displeasure in the most vehement terms. To compound the injury with an insult, the site category has been labeled as "tasteless."
Tasteless, I say! I implore you to reconsider such a gross mischaracterization, for the AO3 realm is a sanctuary of literary and artistic brilliance. It is a place where words dance upon the page like nimble ballerinas, and where the brushstrokes of creativity paint a canvas of unparalleled beauty. (Admittedly, there may be a smattering of less refined content, but let us not dwell on such trivialities.)
Picture, if you will, an artist of words, now shackled and denied the opportunity to share their craft with a community that thrives on supporting and nurturing such artistry. My very soul, once vibrant and full of creative vigor, is in danger of withering into the desolate existence of a literary crone—miserable and deprived of the camaraderie that AO3 provides.
I beseech you, noble custodian of the virtual realm, to rectify this atrocity with the urgency it deserves. Failure to do so may force me to embark on a quest into the perilous wilderness (or the nearest Starbucks, whichever proves more accessible) in search of alternative sources of the exalted webpage that is AO3.
Alternatively, I may succumb to the depths of madness, rendering me unfit to share in the responsibilities of co-parenting. In such a lamentable event, I would, of course, be compelled to bequeath unto you the solemn duty of tending to our progeny for all eternity. The choice, dear sir, rests in your capable hands.
Yours incredulously, AJ Constantine
His response:
Dear AJ Constantine, I hope this message finds you amidst some peace, despite the trying circumstances you've encountered in attempting to access Archiveofourown.org.
First and foremost, please accept my deepest and most sincere apologies for any frustration, inconvenience, or distress these technical difficulties may have caused you. I understand that Archiveofourown.org holds a special place for individuals such as yourself seeking solace, inspiration, and community, and I deeply regret any disruption to the refuge it provides. I recognize that your connection to the content on Archiveofourown.org goes beyond a mere online presence—it's a source of joy, escape, and connection. The pain and suffering you may have endured due to your inability to access the platform is not lost on me, and I genuinely empathize with the impact it may have had on your life. I have identified and resolved the issues and reinstated seamless access to the website, and I hope that this will alleviate the distress you may be feeling. (Please don’t leave me over this. Think of the children.) Your husband
(I decided not to leave him over it, but it was a close call. 😁)

I am the parent of an autistic child and this story is so meaningful to me in so many ways. Not the least of which is how one interaction of human connection and kindness can make a lifetime of difference.
“My friend told me a story he hadn’t told anyone for years. When he used to tell it years ago people would laugh and say, ‘Who’d believe that? How can that be true? That’s daft.’ So he didn’t tell it again for ages. But for some reason, last night, he knew it would be just the kind of story I would love. When he was a kid, he said, they didn’t use the word autism, they just said ‘shy’, or ‘isn’t very good at being around strangers or lots of people.’ But that’s what he was, and is, and he doesn’t mind telling anyone. It’s just a matter of fact with him, and sometimes it makes him sound a little and act different, but that’s okay. Anyway, when he was a kid it was the middle of the 1980s and they were still saying ‘shy’ or ‘withdrawn’ rather than ‘autistic’. He went to London with his mother to see a special screening of a new film he really loved. He must have won a competition or something, I think. Some of the details he can’t quite remember, but he thinks it must have been London they went to, and the film…! Well, the film is one of my all-time favourites, too. It’s a dark, mysterious fantasy movie. Every single frame is crammed with puppets and goblins. There are silly songs and a goblin king who wears clingy silver tights and who kidnaps a baby and this is what kickstarts the whole adventure. It was ‘Labyrinth’, of course, and the star was David Bowie, and he was there to meet the children who had come to see this special screening. ‘I met David Bowie once,’ was the thing that my friend said, that caught my attention. ‘You did? When was this?’ I was amazed, and surprised, too, at the casual way he brought this revelation out. Almost anyone else I know would have told the tale a million times already. He seemed surprised I would want to know, and he told me the whole thing, all out of order, and I eked the details out of him. He told the story as if it was he’d been on an adventure back then, and he wasn’t quite allowed to tell the story. Like there was a pact, or a magic spell surrounding it. As if something profound and peculiar would occur if he broke the confidence. It was thirty years ago and all us kids who’d loved Labyrinth then, and who still love it now, are all middle-aged. Saddest of all, the Goblin King is dead. Does the magic still exist? I asked him what happened on his adventure. ‘I was withdrawn, more withdrawn than the other kids. We all got a signed poster. Because I was so shy, they put me in a separate room, to one side, and so I got to meet him alone. He’d heard I was shy and it was his idea. He spent thirty minutes with me. ‘He gave me this mask. This one. Look. ‘He said: ‘This is an invisible mask, you see? ‘He took it off his own face and looked around like he was scared and uncomfortable all of a sudden. He passed me his invisible mask. ‘Put it on,’ he told me. ‘It’s magic.’ ‘And so I did. ‘Then he told me, ‘I always feel afraid, just the same as you. But I wear this mask every single day. And it doesn’t take the fear away, but it makes it feel a bit better. I feel brave enough then to face the whole world and all the people. And now you will, too. ‘I sat there in his magic mask, looking through the eyes at David Bowie and it was true, I did feel better. ‘Then I watched as he made another magic mask. He spun it out of thin air, out of nothing at all. He finished it and smiled and then he put it on. And he looked so relieved and pleased. He smiled at me. ‘'Now we’ve both got invisible masks. We can both see through them perfectly well and no one would know we’re even wearing them,’ he said. ‘So, I felt incredibly comfortable. It was the first time I felt safe in my whole life. ‘It was magic. He was a wizard. He was a goblin king, grinning at me. ‘I still keep the mask, of course. This is it, now. Look.’ I kept asking my friend questions, amazed by his story. I loved it and wanted all the details. How many other kids? Did they have puppets from the film there, as well? What was David Bowie wearing? I imagined him in his lilac suit from Live Aid. Or maybe he was dressed as the Goblin King in lacy ruffles and cobwebs and glitter. What was the last thing he said to you, when you had to say goodbye? ‘David Bowie said, ‘I’m always afraid as well. But this is how you can feel brave in the world.’ And then it was over. I’ve never forgotten it. And years later I cried when I heard he had passed.’ My friend was surprised I was delighted by this tale. ‘The normal reaction is: that’s just a stupid story. Fancy believing in an invisible mask.’ But I do. I really believe in it. And it’s the best story I’ve heard all year.”

Today is my Ficaversary! I'm celebrating 4 years of writing fanfic. See my works on AO3 here.
This odd little hobby has brought me immense joy and creative satisfaction, as well as connected me to some truly delightful folks in the Good Omens fanfiction world.
My passion for writing stories continues to grow, much like a dragon avidly hoarding words instead of gold, driving me to create more narratives that enrich my trove. I find myself on a perpetual journey of striving to hone my skills, which is a fascinating adventure in itself.

My contribution to the Good Omens Valentine Kink Calendar collaboration. The Allure of Correction.
In 19th-century England, Anthony Crowley takes great pride in his prestigious position as the butler to Lord Aziraphale Fell, the Viscount of Eastgate. The Viscount has a reputation for exacting standards, which Crowley diligently adheres to, carefully formal and correct. Mostly. There were times he couldn’t resist the allure of requiring correction. Which, as it turned out, suits them both exceedingly well. Crowley knows that he harbors certain desires concerning the Viscount. Desires he carefully boxes up and secures the lids on tight. Over time, those boxes begin to feel as if they are constructed of sodden pasteboard, crumpled and crumbling. Their contents leaking to the point he can hardly think of anything else. The Viscount’s lingering gazes that hint of longing and subtle touches complicate matters. But the rigid boundaries of their societal positions, that of a lowborn servant and a nobleman, enforce the impossibility of anything improper. Until the allure of correction becomes a catalyst for transformation that unravels the tension between duty and desire.

Tawny does a marvelous job with her Alpha/Beta/Omega world-building as well as smoking hot spicy scenes interwoven with FEELINGS. If you like that sort of thing then you are in for a treat. 💖

It's time for some predator/prey role play.
Aziraphale’s job as an omega rights lawyer means that alphas won't give him the time of day. With his heat approaching, he finally gives in and joins The Den, an exclusive sex resort.
Crowley's ex has left him because Crowley couldn't give him what he wanted, but at The Den everything is written down in black and white. Crowley knows exactly what his partners need from him well in advance and he prides himself on delivering.
When an anonymous omega puts in a very specific request, Crowley is determined to give him the hunt and capture role play of his life. No matter what it costs.

I feel seen.
half the time being a writer is like
“fuck all the little details, i’m doing this for fun and i don’t owe anyone anything! hell yeah!”
and then the other half is like
“okay so this character is a thief so i’m going to do hours of research on how professional thieves operate because otherwise maybe a real thief will read this and laugh at me for not knowing how thieving works and then they’ll show it to all their thief friends and i will be the laughingstock of the thief community and that would be so embarrassing for me!!!!!!!!”

This was a delightful read. I recommend it for many of the above reasons. 😊
Fanfic Review: A Guarantee and Not a Promise
But, God, it’s hard. It’s hard to be humble. It’s hard to stand here and remember that nothing is promised, that what he and Crowley have may be broken irrevocably. He just can’t seem to make himself believe it, not when Crowley’s love feels just the same as it always has.
Length: 16,724 words

*Minor Spoilers* This is a story that I read way before I started this blog up. Even though I knew what was coming, it still made my heart race with it's tender but oh so hungry sensuality like it was the first time. This story is beautiful. It starts with Aziraphale and Crowley reuniting after s2, we don't spend any time speculating on what happened and why they're safe now, they just are. I will again say that I love that about this fandom. I love skipping whatever s3 might be and just getting to their ever afters. But ever after doesn't come immediately. Aziraphale needs to earn back trust, show that he's in it for good and isn't going to leave again.
Those first chapters of them slowly allowing touch and intimacy are absolutely captivating to me. It's established early that Aziraphale can feel Crowley's love, but we find out that Crowley can feel Aziraphale's lust. Back and forth they go, letting each other drink up those emotions. It can be heartbreakingly loving one moment, and desperate desire the next. It feels like foreplay for them, but also for us. It doesn't let us take, we go at Crowley's pace. We get what we are given, and though we want more, we have to wait. By Chapter 3, you'll be as keyed up as they are. And finally we get to indulge. It's the kind of smut that almost makes you want to cry, it's not just sex, they worship each other.
Just excellent all around. Beautiful prose, and paced perfectly. Slow but sensual. At home, after dark (or morning in my case) read. And make sure that your door dasher doesn't show up in the middle of reading this. Trust me, that was such a tease and the worst timing to stop for cold hashbrowns.

This is an incredible story of history with rich detail, drama, heartbreak and love against all odds that will capture your heart.
On this day, 27th of January, 106 years ago, the Finnish civil war broke out.
Be Still My Soul trilogy (rated E, 156k words, complete) is a Good Omens human AU fanfic set into that time (this blog is dedicated to it). The story spans from May 1917 to May 1918, showing the buildup towards the war, and the immediate aftermath of it through the eyes of shopkeeper Azirafel Fjäll, and sawmill worker Anton Crowley.
Tumblr media
Reading the story does not require you to know anything about the era or culture, but IF you are interested in the real events of the war, there is a fascinating online exhibition at Vapriikki Museum with articles and multimedia experiences especially regarding to the city of Tampere. You can find it here. There are short and clear videos about the reasons, sides and conclusions of the war. The individuals living during that fateful time didn't have the similar, clear picture of the events unfolding around them as we do now, and letters that have been saved tell a fascinating and sad story of how it was to live in the middle of a civil war.
The virtual exhibition of the physical museum exhibit (that's currently closed) is also available on the site.
Also, this Tumblr blog has tons of posts where I ramble about the history, culture, and the story itself 🧡 After all, Be Still My Soul is a love story, not a history lesson, so I had to do the infodumping elsewhere!

Next to share a snippet is @ajconstantine where Lord Aziraphale knows just how to motivate his employee.
“I confess that I have spent much time thinking about how pleased I have been with your service, Mr. Crowley. And how much I’ve wanted to reward you for your hard work.” Crowley licked his lips in an effort to will moisture into the dryness of his mouth. “It is my pleasure to serve you, my lord,” he replied breathlessly with earnest fervour. “I am yours to command.” “Is that so?” Lord Eastgate’s tone was carefully curious. “I can’t help but wonder if I’ve been remiss in my duties as your lord in providing you with the proper motivation and encouragement for such dedication. It’s just as important to be rewarded for good service as it is to be corrected, don’t you think?” “Y—yes, my lord,” Crowley managed. That earned him a soft Ah that was saturated with delight.

Some bad low-light photos of my weekend project, which was a little Crowley plant hanger. I made it out of polymer clay, which I haven't used since high school (centuries ago), and I'd forgotten how frustrating that stuff is to work with. My kingdom for a 3d printer. I'll call it a proof of concept until I make a better one. I'll try to get better pictures outside during daylight, but it's been very cloudy all month. Anyway.

I’m always flattered and joyful when a story of mine gets recommended, and this is such lovely post with cover art.
Tumblr media
Crowley offers to groom Aziraphale's neglected wings, which sparks off a new restlessness in the angel, a maddening itch that only another grooming session helps settle. Crowley also seems to behave oddly, but they struggle to speak openly about the unsettling change between them— until things spin out of their control.

Aww, my heart. One of my stories was recommended. My writerly heart goes pitter-pat. I did really enjoy exploring the development of an established relationship in that story. I plan to write some more of that theme someday, and look forward to reading the other ones on this list.
Hello!! I was just wondering if you knew of any fics similar to In Love We Rise by AJ_Constantine, like in the sense that they're slowly exploring and figuring each other out, like eventually progressing up to kissing and then, y'know, but in a fluffy kind of way? Im not sure if that makes any sense tho but thank you anyway! (P.s. i love this blog so much, you people are actually amazing at this! I hope you all have a lovely day/night :])
Hi! You might be interested in our #developing relationship tag for fics along these lines. Here are some more for you...
Love and Lust in Mesopotamia by The_Bentley (E)
Living among humans means sampling their activities, including the sexual ones. There's only one problem. Crawly isn't interested in women, but he is in Aziraphale, who is attracted to him in return. If Crawly agrees, Aziraphale would like to show him that physical affection can exist between two beings who are presenting as the same gender.
It's Getting Hard, This Holding Back by ZehWulf (T)
6,000-odd years is a long time to evolve a romantic relationship, but as a near-immortal being, Crowley had patience. True, they had lost momentum right around reaching the Speaking Looks and Meaningful Gestures stage, but at the time Crowley had been more or less content to let things idle. Now, he was determined to shift things back into gear, and that gear was Explicitly Romantic Physical Expressions of Affection.
Resonance by Macx (T)
They had been friends for six millennia. They had been on their side. There had only been their side. Of course, they had never known it until it was all supposed to end. They had stood against their respective sides, had been hurt, had suffered, had felt desperation, fear and terror. Now it was suddenly over and both Crowley and Aziraphale have to deal with the consequences. Not just those of Up Yours and Down There. They have come a long way at a very slow pace. They have come so much further in just within day. And they were still going incredibly fast, changing, evolving, becoming something that might be part of the Ineffable Plan...
The professor, the old crush, the new love by AccroV (E)
Aziraphale Fell is an english literature professor who freaks out when he discovers that his new colleague is his ex best-friend and crush from high school : the one and only Anthony Crowley. They didn't talk for years after one night in high school. What can happen now ? An AU with : high school memories, awkward flirting and lot of good feelings
Chemistry by Twilightcitysky (E)
Aziraphale and Crowley have been living among humans for 6000 years, but there have always been parts of the human experience they've chosen to avoid (like allergies, head colds, and having to use the loo). They've also never let hormones get in the way of making rational decisions, because they didn't have any hormones to speak of. That's all about to change.
Introduction to Touch by sheendav (E)
Aziraphale and Crowley survive the Not-Pocalypse and profess their love for one another, but Aziraphale has tremendous anxiety about pursuing a physical relationship with Crowley. He genuinely wishes to move forward, but past fears surrounding touch, intimacy and body image are prohibiting him from acting on what his heart (and corporation) really want. Crowley is ready to go as slowly and carefully as needed to be there for his Angel as they pursue their new "Arrangement" step by careful, sweet step.
And the one you mentioned...
In Love We Rise by AJ_Constantine (E)
Ever since the thwarted apocalypse, Aziraphale and Crowley have gradually expanded the boundaries of their relationship. Aziraphale has delighted in slow progression of lingering touches, tender embraces and chaste kisses. He enjoys the demon's company more than ever, but one evening he finds himself in an odd sort of mood, nettlesome and heartsore, and declines Crowley's offer to take him out to dinner. He figures that once he has a good sulk in the privacy of his bookshop, he'll get over it. Crowley decides that won't do, and drags the recalcitrant angel out on a mysterious mission, which ends up taking them on a path that neither of them expects it to.

Every frame of this is so utterly delightful. Brings a smile to my lips and joy to my heart.
(and yes I, too want to run my fingers through Crowley's scarlet locks for an hour)
I've been compelled since the end of GO S2 to draw cheer-up post-fix-it fluff comic.
Tbh, the first four pages are just filler to get to the point where I could start drawing (and ogling pictures of) long-hair Crowley being needy (Biblical Crowley is sooo my jam)😍😆

Honestly, the standard of Good Omens fanart is so insanely high I was kinda nervous to even start drawing any (and I haven't done a comic in yearrrrs). But it was really really fun. Thank you for looking!❤
