January 2018: App & Tech Favourites
Woohoo, here's another round of App & Tech Favourites!
I wish that the Apple Store kept tabs on how many apps you download a year, and if it does, someone show me how to use that feature! I'd love a recap like Spotify does with my music for the year.
My Top 5 app and technology products of the month, in no particular order, are:
Fallout Shelter
Gift Jeenie
Apple Watch Series 3
SWORKit
Pillow: Smart Sleep Tracker
F A L L O U T   S H E L T E R
I've literally been playing this game on and off for over a year. I love the post-apocalypse shelter simulation but I get easily frustrated with I'm raided by incredibly strong enemies. The game continues to keep me engaged with it's continuous levelling up and thriving community (of Dwellers) aspect. While also increasing interest with several side quests that require certain time periods to complete. (Free to download)
G I F T   J E E N I E
Sick of having to list all the things you want for your birthday and having to link everyone to them also? Look no further, this app has been my go-to for Christmas. You're able to link directly in the app, so when you send your list to your loved ones, they're instantly directed to where they can purchase it! That's efficient! (Free to download)
A P P L E   W A T C H   S E R I E S   3
I'm going to do an entire post for this one in the near future because I think it deserves one. I'm even more obsessed with it than I was with my Fitbit. Shout out to my Mom who gave this to me for Christmas and then adopted my Fitbit so it went to a good home.
S W O R K I T
This is now my go-to app for working out in the comfort of my own home. There are several programs including cardio, yoga, stretching, and strength training which you can do for free. You're also able to customize the length of the workout you want to do which is great if you have time to exercise for an hour or even just 10 minutes. (Free to download, has in-app purchasing)
P I L L O W :   S M A R T   S L E E P   T R A C K I N G
Most nights, I like to track my sleep. This app not only allows me to see the duration of each sleep stage I was in, but it also rates my quality of sleep. For someone who works 9-5 and sleeps 9-5, my sleep quality is quite alright and reassures me that my feeling of fatigue throughout the day is really just my body saying I'm addicted to caffeine 😂 (Free to download, has in-app purchasing)
Have a favourite app that you think I should check out? Leave it below!

01.22.18 – If there is someone out there that you feel is worth absolutely everything, then you better make sure that before you lose them, drop your pride and tell them, show them just how much they mean to you. Real love has no ego. And real love also has no expectations. It’s unconditional.

3 Ways to Quench Your Dry Skin!
Throughout the year, I go through many phases of dry skin. In winter months, my skin is incredibly dehydrated but in the summer months, I'm almost too oily. Here are some tips I live by to keep my dry skin moisturized.
Tip #1 — Use organic oils to nourish your skin
Organic oils a the best bang for your buck when it comes to basic dry skin issues. Extra virgin olive, coconut, or jojoba oil feel amazing on the skin. They also are great for soothing razor burns! After you come out of the shower, while your skin is still wet, rub a palmful all over for the best results.
Tip #2 — Digest antioxidants and oil supplements daily
By eating fruits and vegetables rich in antioxidants you are providing your body with vitamins C, E, and A — all of which are great for your skin. These vitamins can curb skin damage caused by free radicals. Oil supplements, on the other hand, like flax, primrose, and some fish oils contain fatty acids that supply hydration to the skin, soothe any inflammation, reduce acne, and ward off wrinkles.
Tip #3 — Use skin-friendly alternatives
Anything that touches our skin on the daily, swap out with a better alternative. That means switching your chemical laundry detergent to something natural; opting for a more gentle body wash; and/or using a humidifier in hot summer months to avoid drying up while you sleep.
BONUS — Pamper yourself with an oat bath
It's not just for children with chicken pox. Skip the bath oils and foams, and grind up some oats to sprinkle into the tub with baking soda, milk powder, and organic oils. The bath not only will make your skin look good, but it will feel good, and you'll be relaxing while you're soaking.
What are some of your favourite ways to pamper yourself?

But first, coffee! This photo was from a few months ago but it doesn’t change the way I feel about coffee shops! I haven’t been to one this cute in a long time. ≫ Do any of you have favourite coffee places downtown Toronto? (at ODIN)

December 2017: App & Tech Favourite
Thank you from dropping in to read my second edition of App & Tech Favourites!
In the first edition, I told you that I would consider myself an app connoisseur. I still justify that with this post — although 2 of the 5 are tech items, I have definitely gone through quite a number of apps since September with 3 making the top list.
My Top 5 app and technology products of the month are:
Adonit Snap
Crowdfire
Fight List
Farmville: Tropic Escape
Fitbit Charge 2
A D O N I T   J O T   P R O / S N A P
The Adonit styluses have been my secret little weapon for creating aesthetic Instagram stories lately. Writing and drawing has never been easier — honestly. It takes awhile to get used to but it's better than how I was before when I used to have to make my finger into a "pen" just to be able to have full control while writing. The Adonit Jot Pro is instant and is so precise while the Adonit Snap connects through bluetooth and also has a button on it that acts like shutter control if you want to take a selfie without holding your phone! Amazing. (Price: Ranges from $30-35. Get it here)
C R O W D F I R E
I actually found out about this app through another YouTuber. Cannot remember her name to save my life though — sorry! But props to her cause it's bomb. The app works by scheduling your social posts for your YouTube videos or blog posts. While also providing you content that you're able to share on your social media channels to keep them active. Win-win! (Free to download)
F I G H T   L I S T
I'll tell you right now, the app interface is ugly. It's so ugly, I'm sure it would turn a lot of people right off as soon as they download it. But if you're able to look past that, the game is actually ridiculously fun and time-killing. It's basically a listing competition between players — they choose the topic, and you create lists! Great for list-lovers like me. (Free to download)
F A R M V I L L E :   T R O P I C   E S C A P E
I was never into Farmville when it was a thing on Facebook. Actually, I even poked fun at a few people because they would spend so much time on it and sending me those annoying invitations to get the game. But I saw a Farmville Tropic ad while playing another game, decided I'd give it a try, and somehow it made its way one of my most used apps for September. Go figure. It's a fun time-management, time-killer also. (Free to download, has in-app purchasing)
F I T B I T   C H A R G E   2
If you saw my blog post back in August about how I just got the Fitbit Charge 2, you would know how excited I was about it. I'm not disappointed. I've been consistently checking my stats with the app and I've already made progress towards my goal weight! I love the interface and all the information it tracks for you. I can't get enough. (Price: $130. Get it here)
Disclaimer: I was sent the Adonit Snap but as you guys know, I always write honest reviews.

365 Days of Questions: Camille Co (Part 1)
I wanted to do this for awhile and I've been waiting for the new year to start but when it did, I forgot that I even had planned to do it. Now that we're 10 days in, I've remembered and I'm going to keep the momentum going by posting five or 10 at a time.
This is a question-a-day quiz that I actually used to fill it out every single day in my journal. But since this is my personal platform, and all of you are my friends, I decided to share my answers for 2018 so you can get to know a little more about who I am.
Day 1: hopes, dreams, and plans for the next 365 days with a picture of yourself
It's hard for me to really just put into words what exactly I want to accomplish or what I dream of achieving in a single year. I know that I'd like to become a better person in terms of physical and mental health; that I need to darken the line between work and personal life; and, that I'd like to increase how much effort and time I put into my personal projects like YouTube and my blog. So cheers to the new year and hopefully working towards that goal!
Day 2: something that’s illegal but you think it should be legal
The first thing that comes to mind will no longer be illegal in Canada come the summertime. The stigma of marijuana-use needs to dissipate because there are plenty of people who use it for medicine and studies prove that it benefits them. Also, for recreational use it can be seen as an alternative to alcohol.
Day 3: what you think your reason for being here is
Being here, on this blog? Or being here on this earth? I'm not sure. I'm still trying to figure that out myself :) But every day I work on being a better person than I was yesterday and that seems to be doing alright.
Day 4: how you think your life would change if you achieved your dream
My life would be a better version of how it is now. My values and morals wouldn't change.
Day 5: something you would change about the world
That's hard to narrow to just one thing. If I had access to all the resources and money in the world, I'd change third-world countries. I hate to think of how many people in this world do not even have the ability to eat, drink, have a home, or go to school.
Day 6: something you would like to change about yourself
I deal with a lot of anxiety — and, to be honest, it all boils down to me. I do it to myself. I told someone recently that I'm already so hard on myself being my own worst critic but I don't have to be my own bully. That inner voice in your head should be comforting and trying to coax you to see the positive, but instead a lot of the times, I'm judging my own actions and self in the most negative way. I'm changing that this year.
Day 7: a show or a movie that has changed you, and how
I'm not sure if there is one, but I watched a preteen movie recently called "#REALITYHIGH" on Netflix and it helped me reset again. Sometimes I get so lost within social media and the numbers that I forget that my life doesn't need to revolve around it. I'm always comparing myself to people who seem to be more successful but at the end of the day, who knows if they're actually living their actual life or if they're just putting on a front on social media. They might not even be happy at all. It's better to be genuine and live your best life and have people love and support you for that.
Day 8: things that make you sad
Selfishness
Negativity
Ignorance
Global issues like poverty and famine
Day 9: things that make you happy
Meeting people who have the same goals or values
Learning from other creators who genuinely want to help
Spending time with people without feeling judged
Food
Day 10: what you think when you hear the words “be yourself”
I think of how many people in the creative industry have to put on a facade when the camera hits record, or lose themselves when a brand offers a sponsorship to become a puppet. This is the reality that I can't accept. Then I think about how weird, awkward, or annoying some people probably think I am, but at least I'm being myself.
