Swept Off My Feet

Faiden fic

Aiden wiped the sweat from his brow, knocking the curly blond locks out of his way. He grinned at his karate partner, Finlay, who he known for many years – since primary school, in fact.

‘Wanna have another go?’ Aiden chided.

Finlay could hear the teasing nature of his toe, and smirked. Raising an eyebrow, he assumed the karate stance.

‘If you think you’re tough enough.’

Finlay swung a punch, which was blocked deftly by Aiden. He grabbed the front of Finlay’s suit, exposing some skin. Distracted by this tantalising view of the untanned Scotsman’s neck, Aiden let down his guard, allowing Finlay to grab the taller man back in revenge. Regaining his focus, Aiden roughly shoved his hips next to Finlay, and manoeuvred his leg, kicking it out from behind.

Surprised, Finlay dropped to the floor, pulling Aiden down with him.

Suddenly, Aiden found himself on top of the Ed Sheeran look-alike. Catching his breath, they made eye contact.

Aiden had never noticed how piercingly blue Finlay’s eyes were, like gazing into a bottomless glittering pool. He gazed unblinkingly into the beautiful sapphire orbs, momentarily mesmerised. A rosy tinge blossomed across both their faces.

After a moment, Finlay spoke.

‘Well this is saucy’

‘Only if you want it to be’ Aiden responded with a flirtatious wink.

A derisive snort sounded from behind them, and they sprang apart. Arran stood above them, with one eyebrow raised.

‘Now, you two, this is hardly the time or the place. Behave yourselves!’

Blushing, the two got to the feet, brushed themselves off, and tugged the bottom of their suits.

Quietly, Finaly whispered,

‘Again?’
