“Yea, she’s letting me stay there.” Max nodded his head and accepted the fact that he wasn’t going to be able to get any more information today.

In a small part of his brain, he felt a little sorry for the guy, but that didn’t mean his thoughts about him didn’t change. “I’ll see what I can do. It might not be much but at least it should get you through until the next market day.”

“That would be helpful.” Max did his best to look grateful and relax. With Chris helping him he might be able to get a little bit of the info that he’d been trying to obtain on his own.

Getting the water to the right temperature took some doing but eventually she got it before she began stripping down to get into the shower. Before she stepped in she cast a look over her shoulder at Max and smirked before disappearing behind the shower curtain and letting the water warm her up before Max joined her.

Max watched her undress and waited until she was in the shower before removing the rest of his clothes. With everything going on it was nice to have something that felt normal. He climbed in the shower and shifted so he was under the water.

He started to watch Max leave and part of him wanted to let him go but there was part of him that figured that maybe he should take some pity on him, despite the fact he was a Government agent and he was not a big fan of his. “What is it that you need, exactly?” he asked.

Max stopped and smirked before turning back around to face Chris. “Just the basics. I lost everything.” Maybe that would help soften his attitude since they all knew what it was like to lose it all.

Max smirked and peeled his shirt off as he followed her. He wasn’t sure what he was going to do for clothes in the immediate future but he had a feeling that neither of them would care much.
