This has been a very long past few days because oh boy the Paldea death hole is interesting. Thankfully we are leaving tomorrow since today we managed to present our evidence to the Paldean League that this falls under our wheelhouse which means I can fuck off back to Alola and let the Paldean crew do the stuff we need them too

Can I hug an ultra beast and not die?

Depends on which. Stakataka and Pheramosa you could probably hug no issue as long as they know it's not an attack. Xuritree is a big maybe due to fact it's a bundle of wires. Buzzwole is sadly a no because even if they do know what a hug is they are too strong and would probably crush you

Rejoice we finished the PokeBall Prototypes! Now the Past Ball and the Future Ball official exist! Both having higher catch rates for Past and Futures Paradox Pokemon respectively. Currently not up for grabs and probably won't ever be unless I'm feeling silly outside of champion rank trainers and league officials
