You look up to see her eyes half lidded,
dorky smile still lingering on her face even
when she appears to doze off for half a second.
She's still tipsy and you reach out to slide
the daiquiri away from her subtly. Definitely
not walking home, you didn't want to think
where she might end up in this state.
"I'll give you a lift, I'm not letting you walk
at this time of night."
Watching her gather up her stuff reminds
you that to leave you'll need the manager's
permission. You were really hoping he'd
just let you go, you could work a longer
shift tomorrow. Plus, you'd managed to
bring in a reasonable amount of tips so that
had to count for something.
When she suggests hanging out, you try not
to jump at the suggestion too eagerly but you
can't help grinning widely. Of course you want
to hang out, you had been thinking about it
for years on end.
“Sure, but not here, and we should probably
do something that doesn’t require you being
capable of your best coordination.”
Chilling someplace with a pizza and movie
sounded great to your right now. It also sounded
suspiciously more romantic than you would
normally envision.
Odd.
"Man, I`m a grown woman Serket."
You groan when she says she
isn´t letting you go home alone
tonight but also are glad because
technically it means you get to
spend more time together with
her which means Profit, right?
Sort of anyways.
Actually, you´re just glad that
she actually agreed to hang out
with you, which means she doesn´t
find you lame or anything stupid
and that makes you grin again,
a little relieved, and definitely
a little teasing. Maybe.
"I could still solve any case in this
case, just you fuckin´ watch me
nerd."
But you leave the statement
where it is with that, before
actually shooting Vriska a
questioning expression whilst
you put your jacket on, fumbling
a little with one of the buttons in
particular and at the end
losing your patience with it
and just letting it stay open.
You had no time for stupid jacket
fuckery.
"Awesome, hhmmmn. We can
go to my flat and watch a movie
or something and chill. Maybe
order a pizza or whatever."
you say as if you read her mind
and you give her an observant
grin, even though in this state
you likely wouldn´t really observe
anything other than what you wanted
to observe, that target of observation
currently being Vriska herself.
You didn't want Terezi stumbling about
this part of town so late at night, it wasn't
particularly shady but you never knew
what drunkards could lie around the next
corner.
Perhaps quite literally lying there.
But she’s grinning hard again, showing off
those perfect teeth... What a dork.
“Oh I bet you could.” You tease, putting
away the shaker and wiping the counter
down as you do so.
Sticking your thumb out and pointing to
the door with it while looking at your manager,
he sighs for what might be the eighth time
this night but mouths an "alright then."
Terezi seems to have some trouble buttoning
up that jacket of hers and it's tempting to
step around the counter and help her with it.
So that's exactly what you do, starting from
the lowest button, and when she suggests
your highest hopes of a pizza and movie,
being as you are, your only response is:
"I hope it sure ain't a lame movie."
Walking past your bartending friend, you
flip him off with a smirk before he can chide
you about that show you had put on with
Terezi, swinging open the door as you wait
for her.
※ ✕ ※
You definitely have been watching
her too long because her words
barely even get through to your
mind. You’re far too tipsy by now,
sort of just very visibly watching
Vriska’s every moment, dozing
off mildly.
“10 minutes … I mean I can walk
home, I’ll there like…
You don’t even register that you
completely missed to include the
word ‘be’ into that sentence and
your voice trails off as you think
about your home-way, before you
pick your sentence up again at a
completely different place.
”…But I don’t wanna leave like that
now. Not when you’re here, even
if ’s jus’ a hella coincidence. I still
can’t believe it. You’re really here…“
You smile, lifting yourself from your
seat and gathering your stuff back
together, shooting Vriska a somewhat
shy look.
Just a bit. Really, just a tad.
"You said your shift ends early…
wanna, i don’t know…Hang out?"
You bite your lip, instantly afraid
She’d find you to be less amazing
than She might’ve thought you to
be, might find you LAME, boring…

// mcd4ddydr4gon continued from here. LAST ONE.
✕ Terezi ✕
You keep watching her mix the drinks
for the other customers and you honestly
don't mind her doing her job. You probably
were keeping her from doing it anyways,
and that wasn't your exact intention.
Not today.
You wonder if she had practiced these
moves she uses for mixing the drinks
in private, given how skillfull she seems
to be, but you don't voice your question
yet. Instead, you notice how the customers
seem to watch you, some with smiles a la
"Ah yes, that's so sweet", and you find
yourself a little shy about being watched by
so many people, even in your tipsy state of mind.
Once Vriska returns and talks about her
manager, you turn towards him and give him
a polite nod, at least as polite as was possible
with your mishivous grin plastered to your
visage. Then you turn back towards your friend.
"Goin' where? You live nearby here?? I
have to take the bus and drive like ten minutes
since the university I moved to two days ago
is like ten minutes busdriving away. OH YEAH
THAT REMINDS ME!"
You laugh again, closing your eyes for just a
second, before looking at Vriska again.
"Some of your luck must've rubbed off on me!
I only came here to England like two days ago.
I'm from Ireland!"
You smirk, before you remember that your
Strawberry Daiquiri still exists and wasn't finished
yet. You grab it and begin to drink again, but
always look and listen to what Vriska does.
She had your full attention.
You’ve done this plenty of times before.
After visiting this bar for the first time and
seeing the bartender handle the shaker
to concoct the most delicious Blue Island
Lagoon you had ever tasted, you knew this
was something you had to learn. Practising
at parties and the like had led you here.
Other customers are still watching, likely
waiting for something more interesting to
happen. It didn’t bother you particularly
but you weren’t sure what they were
expecting as far as “interesting” went.
So far the worst the manager has done is
glare a little, but he nodded so you’re in the
clear. For the moment.
“I live around 10 minutes away.”
You pick up another glass and start washing
it absent-mindedly.
“Oh man, good luck catching a bus at this
hour. You’d have better luck walking.”
Wait, Ireland? Well that explained her subtle
accent, which was really quite cute. But maybe
you should offer her a lift or something, it’s not
as if you had anything better to do for the night.

"Woah there Serket, you didn´t actually
expect me to do what you say, did you?"
Your grin is possibly the most genuinly
happy and affectinate Thing you´ve
possibly ever done in your life before
and when she returns your embrace
it only grows stronger and does not
fade at all.
Customers are possibly watching
and you´re actually sure they do,
you´re likely putting on a great
show here, but you cared little.
She now laughs too and you
find yourself watching a little
too long maybe, finding great
joy in her laugh. It seems so
wonderful, but maybe that´s
just your own self registering
this situation far more
positievly intense than it actually
was.
You don´t care about that.
"I. I didn´t think you´d live here? Let
alone the same city???"
You sound like you still can´t
believe it and honestly,
who could blame you in that
regard?
You just met your longtime
Internet friend per mere
coincidence. How weird was that??
Not only that but god damn
was she a looker. You
Had not expect her to be
that pretty, now that you
see her face in person, all
memory from the old photo
she sent ages ago came back.
But this was so much more
beautiful. Much more real.
Many things got lost in photos.
How her long and black hair
frames her face for example,
how it´s a little messy at the
very top of her head, it´s shimmer,
her nice lips.
And her eyes, damn.
Your tipsy mind registers a
just as pretty lady as before,
but now, with all the emotion
and affection and all the feelings
that had been missing before,
you see her in an entirely new light.
Maybe your glasses got
metaphorically tinted a little
pinkish-red here.
"Well, I AM here! And you
asshole already took the job
you were talking about earlier!
I suppose that´s your friend then??"
You point a little away, serving the
customers with a skeptic and gradually
less patient expression, but keep your
eyes all the time on her.
Snorting at her remark, you do agree
with her there. Since when did she ever
listen to you? Well, she did but only
when she wasn't aware of it.
Eventually you stop laughing, the customers
were staring at you just as much as your
manager but some of them had smiles
on their faces. You were definitely keeping
them entertained and they were sticking
around for the show. More drinks, more profit.
You take another few orders, only half aware
that Terezi is still staring at you but you try
not to let that deter your mixing of the drinks.
You had to prove to the manager that you
deserved the job and embarrassing yourself
over a beautiful girl was hardly going to
help on that front.
But soon enough, you're back before her
and grinning once more. It's almost as if
you were never nervous in the first place
and hadn't spent the last fifteen minutes
panicking like hell.
You smirk at her remark before nodding in
your other friend's general direction.
"Yeah, that's him. He's probably pissed at
me for talking to you so much but whatever,
I'll probably be going soon anyway."
Going where? Heck if you knew. But now
that you knew Terezi lived here, or wherever
nearby, you were certain things couldn't be
the same.

Oh no.
OH NO.
WOW NO.
WOW, GOD, THAT WAS SO FUCKING EMBARASSING!
You can´t believe the situation right now. You´re sure you
just fell asleep on the counter or whatever, this surely was
a dream. You even shakily covered your own mouth with
your hands in embarrassment and rub your face to reassure
you you are really not sleeping.
The other customers in the bar look at you weirdly and
it´s like in some stupid tv Show, but this is real.
You´re not sure how to react so you both just Kind of seem
to stare awkwardly at each other for a few seconds, her eyes
meeting yours, and you can feel your cheeks burn.
You literally just spilled all your anger about her at her
in Person without knowing it was her.
Good fucking Lord, bless that you hadn´t said anything
more embarrassing.
....Wait no, you had called her pretty. Shit. FucK. FUCK.
ALSO WHAT WAS SHE DOING HERE?
THIS WASN´T POSSIBLE UNLESS THAT WAS A HELLA
COINCIDENCE.
Your feelings are incredibly mixed in this very moment,
your heart thumping so hard you swear you could
feel it in your throat. You don´t know what to say, if you
should be mad or incredibly happy, if you should slap
her for doing this to you (what exactly? She hasn´t harmed
you) or if you should hug her.
Thinking about it probably both. Your tipsy thoughts found
that to be an amazing idea, but you restrained yourself.
Finally, the happy feelings well up all at once in you,
an incredibly dumb and happy grin rising to your face
before you get up from your chair and reach over the
counter, reaching out to her and suddenly wrapping
your arms around her, pulling her similarly over the counter
as you are draped over it and just. Hugging her.
Of course you would scold her later on, but right now
your slightly drunk mind couldn´t think, let alone PROCESS
an idea of that.
"Oh my god, I can´t....believe this is real! it´s really you,
yes? You´re not fucking with me right??"
You sound genuinely happy, even if maybe talking
a Little unclear due to your slightly intoxicated state
but definitely genuinly positively surprised. You
really hope it´s okay for her that you hug her but you
just couldn´t help yourself.
"I would´ve never imagined....to meet you ´n persn,..."
Your voice trails off and then you let go of her again
Hands still on her shoulders as you laugh into her face,
not even caring if anyone was looking.
"You fucking smug asshole Spider!"
You've got both hands pressed tight
against the counter, knuckles white
as if just letting go would leave you
in a crumpled mess on the floor.
Terezi looks to be in a state if disbelief
and you can't say you blame her, you're
having a hard time grasping this as well.
Your friend on the other side is still
looking at you weirdly but decides his
time is better spent serving the customers.
She had called you pretty but to be honest,
that was probably something you'd tease
her about when the two of you weren't
both blushing nervous wrecks.
You're not sure what you're expecting but
she's getting up and oh god, she's reaching
out for you. What is this? She's got her arms
wrapped around you and it takes you a
moment to realise this is a hug, your arms
still stiffening up in her embrace.
Eventually you remember the reasonable
thing to do would be to return the hug so
you finally lift you hands away from the
counter, wrapping them around her before
squeezing her tightly.
"I can't believe you're actually here, I
thought I told you not to come into my bar!"
You're grinning now, everything just seems
so surreal.
"Same..."
She pulls away and her laughter is the best
thing you've ever heard, and how contagious
it is too. Maybe you laugh a little too hard
and everything suddenly seems both wonderful
and terrifying all at once.

"Oh."
That legit was the only thing that escaped your pinkish lips
when she actually admitted that she was going to say your
Name. It leaves you a Little off-guard, but of course you
actually had expected her to admit, you had known she would.
A wide grin overtakes your face, one of both insecurity of
why she knew your Name and because you had been right,
once again.
Another strike caused by the sharp mind of Terezi Pyrope!
"Wait, how do you, know my Name, hmmm? Are you a
creepy Stalker or something that I have not been seei-
...
Wait."
Your finger had rosen ahead to Point at the barmaid
who obviously was uncomfortable as all hell about being
caught red-handed, but by now a very unlikely suspicion
crosses your tipsy mind and you lower the finger only a
Little an very slowly.
She liked the eight.
And had black hair much like you remembered to
have your friend´s hair from that selfie so Long ago.
She was a fucking barmaid . She worked in a bar .
JUST LIKE VRISKA HAD TOLD YOU SHE WAS GOING TO
DO.
AND SHE KNEW YOUR NAME.
You still don´t believe yourself thinking about it, also because
you, in your tipsyness quickly become sort of distracted by your
grocery back falling off of the Counter and onto the floor
wetly.
Fuck, the Pizza had become wet.
How much time had passed??
You look outside, it had stopped to to rain, and instead, the moon and the stars
are shining above you.
You look back at the startled Lady who had served you.
You swallow nervousely, your face taking in a nice shade of
red as you try a shot in the dark with an assumption.
"... Vriska ?"
Abort abort abort f8cking A8ORT.
How could you let that one slip??? It
wouldn't have even been that hard to
cover the minor slip up, but oh man,
how you had messed this one up.
But then she's still grinning and you're
all the more confused for it. She likely
had something weird in mind as per
usual, yet her positive attitude wasn't
something you had expected so quickly.
Of course she's had it all wrong when
she assumes you've been stalking her-
oh. Never mind that. She's got it. You're
in for it now, Vriska.
She raises a finger to point at you before
lowering her hand, blushing a beautiful
shade of red in the next instant.
The two of you were likely drawing the
attention of many a customer, which
didn't help things in the least. And as
the night drew on, the bar only got busier.
You're not sure what to say, was there
anything to say?
Thankfully, her bag falls to the floor with
a wet sounding flop, breaking the silence
that had settled between the two of you.
Farewell potential pizza.
You meet her eyes when she says your
name and it's all you can do not to bolt
and run. With the tiniest of nods, you
gulp down your fears and face reality.
"........ Took you long enough, nerd."
Ohhhhhhhh you were screwed.

“It´s an alright number.”
You giggle a little, winking
at her again, before giving
her a glance and following
her gaze when she seemed
to glare at another corner
in the room. A man a little
further away seemed to
look pretty shocked at first
and shut his mouth before
he could say anything and
yougot a little suspicious.
Your eyes go back to the
nervous barmaid and you
squint at her tipsily.
“Te- what? Hey, what were
you going to say??”
You sound a little suspicious,
your expression looking like
it could be from your rp character,
the Neophyte herself, as if
you were on the taild of a
case.
The barmaid washes her hands
longer than necessary and
you feel slightly agitated, as if
you´re being tricked. It may as
well just be the alcohol, but
you felt like the barmaid had a
bone to pick with you, or the other
way around. She knew you liked red
things apparently, and had been
about to call you something that
started with your first name`s
first letters, before catching
herself midword, and then she
just avoided you for the moment
of being?
Something wasn´t right here, your
tipsy mind was certain!
“Tell me, miss blueberry muffin!
I`m onto your case!”
You soon exhaust the task of running
cool water between your fingers, biting
your lip as you keep your gaze lowered
for a moment longer.
She'd gone into interrogation mode it
would seem and you really don't want
to answer that question. It would be so
easy to just say "Terezi." and leave it
at that.
But the aftermath would be terrible.
How would either of you deal with meeting
the other after everything that had just
happened? You couldn't imagine.
Not to mention, Terezi was tipsy. You
didn't want to take advantage of anything
but- oh my does just thinking of that
make you blush.
You're able to find your voice soon enough
and decide you'll pretend you were going
to say "sorry, terrible service."
"I was going to say Terezi."
Oh NO.
