stuff they do: shared interest in history, mostly of dark lords, so oftentimes they can be found reading together in relative silence while sipping tea. i like to headcanon that dark lords can understand more than one language and thus mercy translates books in her free time. they enjoy working on their projects together, mercy translating and vampire writing dark lord history. he won't admit it but he really likes when mercy praises him for his work

travel: they've both had enough traveling. they're middle aged and have been around enough, so they enjoy being settled in dark lord country nowadays. vampire really doesn't even like leaving the house, honestly, but mercy drags him out at least to get some food a few times a week. "sunlight is good for you!" ":/" "if you get too sickly and frail, i wouldn't be able to feed off of you..." "OKAY LETS GO OUTSIDE" "that's what i thought~"

interests: oh! i already touched on this in the first part! whoops! obviously their one big shared interest is history, but they both do have other interests that they don't have in common. they aren't brought up often, but i like to think every once in a while one of them goes off on a big tangent about different types of tea or stories about training in the army while the other happily listens.
