Day 5 - Honoka, Mikazuki and Yasu

Honoka and Yasu tricked Mikazuki into coming out of her house by saying they'll have Valentine's practice. But as soon as Mikazuki arrived she saw the other two girls in fancy outfits and she realized she had been tricked.

Day 1 - Kokoro and Yumiko

Being called a genius can get tiring. Shun learned it the hard way. Every time she blocked her opponent or she scored a point. It was always her "talent". But she didn't mind. She knew it was true at some level. The sport always came easy to her so why bother trying to tell people it's all of your hard work? And most people meant it as a compliment either way. It definitely made her powerful. So powerful she was considered a "rising volleyball star"

She was even crowned the "Thorn Queen". She was not only an unstoppable wall but also a very consistent attacker. It also spoke to her very snarky and unapologetic personality she was very widely known for.

But soon enough, around her 2nd year in middle school, she just stopped improving. She didn't really know why. Sometimes you just hit a wall and the progress slows naturally. But... people seemed to lose all the faith in her. Like her five minutes of fame were over. They started gossiping, the praises stopped and everyone just expected her to get better and better into oblivion. And she just didn't...

So she resigned. Not really seeing herself as anything more than just her talent, that maybe now wasn't even enough. And she was scared. Of messing up and disappointing everyone.

"If I don't try, I won't fail"

That was her motto for a very long time. Because it hurts the worst to be put on a pedestal and then get brutally shoved off it.

Well that was until she entered high school. Specifically, Nekoma High School. A fangirl of hers, as she introduced herself, had her mind set on Shun joining the team. Which, obviously, wasn't what Shun planned for herself. She wanted to forget and move past her volleyball obsession. She had new friends who were less than serious about volleyball.

So as she tried to find her quiet place in the new school she always felt two eyes of her fangirl right on her back. Like she was getting stalked. But her friends just weren't really what she wanted. She wanted to be an ordinary girl, talk about makeup, boys or social media. But it all felt wrong in a way. She kept telling herself it's just cuz she's not used to it. But she always caught herself watching volleyball videos in class or watching the girls' volleyball team practice.

But once, when she made her way to the gym to confront the girl about the stalking, she saw something that changed her forever.

This fangirl, someone who has claimed to play volleyball since forever, someone who has competed in multiple tournaments, someone who spent all the breaks practicing instead of resting. Utterly SUCKED.

But she was still laughing and practicing more. She was serving non-stop even after not getting a single ball across the net. Well, she wasn't really a designated server but it was still a complete disaster.

But she kept going.

"So you want me to join because you suck?" Shun yelled loudly. The fangirl noticed her only now, standing with crossed arms and smug expression. Her face burned in red from embarrassment. Her idol definitely saw all of the miserable attempts at her serves. And probably was laughing like hell inside.

"Yes" She finally said. It completely stunned Shun. Was she admitting to being so bad so easily? "I want this team to be strong and for now I'm not able to provide that"

"For now?"

"Well..." She looked at her with truly a hunger burning in her eyes. "I still have time to get better, no?"

Shun quit when she hit the tiniest wall. Small comment about her losing her talent and she quit immediately. While her opponents were trying to get the points even after getting blocked every single time. They were trying to just keep the ball in the game. So desperate yet so brave. They were met with a wall thousand times more soul crushing than Shun was yet they kept going. And even after losing the match they still came back for revenge.

She quit in her 2nd year of middle school. At that point most people haven't yet discovered their true passion yet here she was. Breathing volleyball. Her life was filled with it. But she quit. Because she felt like she wasn't perfect. Not even not good enough, she wasn't just without a flaw.

"Sure" Shun smiled and threw her bag on the floor. She started tying her hair in a ponytail as to not get in the way.

"Um so... Do I get to see you play once more?" Haruna smiled

"Bring it on"
