The cold metal of the door’s handle on his fingers, he took a moment to steady his thoughts before he opened the door.

The city before him was like nothing he had ever seen before. The people, the architecture, it was all too crazy. Clutching tightly in hand the wooden scythe he had been given, he let out a short sigh.

“So, this is my home now..?”

Experiments, scientists, it was all quite too much to take in all at once. He wished he could be asleep right now, though this place seemed enough like a dream in itself. He decided the best course of action would be to make his was to his accomodation; though, that would require knowing the way there, which he as of yet did not. Taking another breath, he prepared himself, and put on his smile.

“Well, where should I begin?”
