Of course those words stung the Vanguard about his precious scout. Other words came to mind but they swallow those words, letting it feel heavy in their dry throat. “Like Hell I’m going to leave here empty handed.” A darker tone settles deep in the Warlock’s chest as the situation now becomes a confrontational matter.

“Just because he was one of your scouts doesn’t mean he gets to walk away free, Cayde-6. It isn’t-” Ichor’s voice cracks between the words as they bite their lip underneath the their bandana. The Vex tail implant coils tighter around their waist like a metal belt as if trying to hold the anger from rising any further.

“He is a bastard !” The coiling tail does nothing to hold back their anger. “He does nothing but hurt me and you let him walk away !”

THIS UNRELENTING RAGE IS REACHING ITS LIMITS,  climbing up to the brink to where he might just let loose and cause a commotion———  or jumping into his ship and leaving just to prevent the inevitable rampage.  this wasn't like him,  but it was simply because cayde CARED MORE THAN HE WOULD LIKE TO ADMIT for this warlock.  he didn't want old wounds becoming fresh once more ( he knew too well what that was like,  the sting and the metaphoric blood shed ) .           ❛❛  don't y' hear yourself? he’s a bastard for what he did t’ ya———  i wholeheartedly agree.  so why would i want y' chasin' someone that's only gonna cause y' more pain?  ❜❜           his hunters were family,  but that never meant he wouldn't see the wrong doings and consider them mistakes———  no,  some hunters were out there to hurt because that is all they want to do;  cause long lasting pain and to INFLICT EMOTIONAL WOUNDS THAT WOULD LAST A LIFETIME. he couldn't allow that to continue.          ❛❛  goddammit———  i'm not here t' parent you,  y'hear?  so go ahead. chase him if y' want to,  but remember that y' had a choice here.  ❜❜
