Weekend WIP Game - Mist World Shorts

Hey y'know what, I'm going to like. make a few separate non-dated versions of this so I can have all the things? I've been working through my files etc so now they're organised better and I can see everything, so!

I'm also numbering out the scenes that are part written! so if you wanna chuck that into the mix. That is also good.

The WIPS

Alepir Holt (In the wake of magic coming back to Leritheyar, people finding out they are mages and werecreatures and coming together. Characters; Kaithr, Kestrel, Fin, Kane (and oh god so many more but these ones feature in the unfinished scenes)). Scenes; 3

Introduce Yourself (intro pieces for side characters in @dorksndisasters. Characters: Aster, Bituin, Citlali, Jiemba, Najm, Seren, Setareh). Scenes; 7

Mercenary Mages (a group of feral mages doing what they do best (annoy each other and become a really tight knit group). Characters; Llinos, Kaua, Jasper, Tamhas, Tadhg, Spence, Kitty). Scenes; 15

Superhero Twins (a group of uni-and-older friends with various magics that bounce around the city looking for the Crimes that brought them all together. Characters; Roxy, Clara, Cai, Oscar, Onni, Kite, Vivian, Seth, Lucy, Mint (technically a set of novels but I haven't written enough for it to merit being there rather than fun character shorts)). Scenes; 3

The Fair (a group of Welsh-inspired Fair Folk and their adopted/stolen children caught in the thros of prophecy. Characters: Brandi, Kamala, Scarlet, Gwen, Bran). Scenes; 1

The Guardians (a group of people from across the worlds all semi-dedicated to making the worlds a better place. Characters: Linus, Gen, Asin, Skilkran, Basil, Rhiannon, Razar, Akeri, Taerne). Scenes; 5

Height gap romance except the shorter one is frequently depicted in situations where they are contextually taller. The taller one sitting while the shorter one looms over them. Both of them lying in bed with the taller one’s head pressed to the shorter one’s chest. The shorter one straddling the taller one’s lap and leaning down for a kiss. The taller one on their knees as the shorter one tilts their head up. Please, it makes me go feral

"I think a classmate is missing," Megara said. He wasn't sure if she was a classmate, but something was wrong here, and he didn't know what. Finding her was a step to figuring it out, he was sure.

The teacher glanced at their clipboard and raised a brow. "Who?"

What was her name? What... "R.K? I think that's her name. Dark hair, blue eyes?"

non-lip kisses are my absolute favorite. absentmindedly kissing the back of someone’s palm as you hold hands. chaste forehead kisses and brushes against their cheek. silly boops on the nose. kissing fluttering eyelashes. neck kisses that barely touch skin but are no less passionate. kisses on collar bones or exposed tummies. sloppy kisses at the corners of someone’s mouth. kissing each and every fingertip with a delicate touch.

Behold, a snippet

Hahaaaa so I've written about 6k words since January ended and 2k of that was written yesterday for a short because I was possessed by my love for the "adoring knight besotted by their charge" trope and anyway I love my Silent One characters so much and--

“Ki?” I called to the empty hall before catching myself. Too many servants populated the center of the main palace for me to call her by name like that. It was one thing to do so in her presence, but a very different one to call for the crown princess like a wandering dog.

I cleared my throat and looked around for signs of any living souls. “Your Highness?” I tried again, gritting my teeth as I raised my voice and heard it crack. She hadn’t taken to teasing me for that yet, but I wasn’t about to put anything past her. Especially not when she was about to be cross with me.

“Who calls?” boomed a theatrically pompous voice from above that quickly dissolved into playful giggling. I raised my gaze to find my wayward charge at the top of the grand stairs, hands on her hips with a wide-legged stance. Her dress was in disarray and she’d lost her hair sash. Again. No doubt the silk was currently blowing across the great bridge, or sweeping over the grand lawn.

Or tied around the stony neck of an honored ancestor’s bust.

She raised her chin as my eyes met hers, and for a moment her dishevelment vanished, leaving only room for proud, regal charisma. A monarch stood in her place. A ruler fit to command any within her domain. Then she opened her mouth to grin—revealing two missing teeth—and she was once more the menace I was familiar with. “Looking for me, fair knight?”

I sighed at her teasing tone. “Yes. I’ve been sent to fetch you for class.”

Her beaming smile deflated a little, and she slumped with a pout. “Oh. I thought you wanted to play. I didn’t know it was a boring Leth day.”

Another scifi story with a very experimental POV. This one is a bit…angrier? in tone than the last two. But! It felt good to write, and I hope you enjoy reading it. It’s a bit longer than the others as well, so make sure you have the time! Warnings for grief, loss, and a very loyal starship.
