Mobius saw this gorgeous lost puppy god knows how many times ago

and then got obsessed with him and looked him up on the timeline and found out who he is

and theeen told everyone at the TVA about him so to let him know whenever he showed up so he can have him

anyway all i'm trying to say is that Mobius fell first but Loki fell harder

The Marvels did something so amazing in the way they presented Carol’s marriage.

Like she revealed that she married this man (an objectively beautiful man) and the only takeaway was that she was now technically a princess.

Carol says something along the lines of, “we’re friends, and he needed help with this” and there was no indication or question of romance whatsoever.

And thats really rare. Because usually, you have two people of different genders that are put in a marriage of convenience, you’d see at least one other character comment on the romantic implications, if not see the actual romance play out. But there was no question about the relationship between the characters in this.

Carol said they were friends, then she changed into a pretty dress and danced with him, and… that was it! No one swooned or sighed in the audience while they danced, Kamala and Monica didn’t bat an eye when Carol said they were friends, there were no lingering shots of them looking at each other.

Nia DaCosta managed to introduce a fairly common romance trope as the most platonic partnership I’ve ever seen on screen.

Meanwhile, there were clearly lingering shots and deep conversations and genuine chemistry when Valkyrie shows up.

Currently thinking about the contrast between when Loki and Mobius part ways in the first season and their goodbye in the finale.

In the first season, Mobius reaches out his hand for a handshake and Loki pulls him into a hug instead. He says "Thank you, my friend."

In the finale, since Mobius doesn't have the same familiarity with him at that point, even if he wants to hug him, he has to settle for the handshake this time. He says "Thank you, Mobius."

Loki knows more about Mobius than ever in the finale, he's spent centuries living and re-living their moments together, but that's not something he could possibly express in that moment.

Loki initiates the handshake though, just like he initiated the hug. He wants that familiarity, it hurts not to have it. At the same time, if he had stopped to give a goodbye to the present Mobius it would have been too familiar. Loki needed to focus on what he thinks is the right thing to do, not on what he wants, so he has to distance himself as much as possible in that moment. It's Mobius then, that keeps trying to reach out to him, to get him to slow down.

Mobius and Loki are always running circles around each other like that. That's what makes their dynamic so compelling. No matter what role they take on at the time, they always have a way of balancing each other out.

"They say opposites attract. No."

But they do. In whatever way you want to read it, either platonically or romantically, the show has gone out of its way to show that they're drawn to each other.

It's always unclear which of them is leading and which is following, that's because they both are. There's so much symbolism in the show about infinity loops. That's them.

The Marvels coordinating their powers to a 90's themed dance party changed feminism forever.

I know a lot of ppl already have tons of feelings about that loki finale but what’s sticking with me right now is the camera zoom into mobius after he says “let time pass” is an almost an exact mirror to loki’s zoom in with a tiny smile and (what looked like) a tear rolling down while mobius’s words echo to him idk idk… that felt extremely meaningful to me and it’s sitting with me hard right now.

I think about how the phrase “the greatest love is seeing those you love happy” applies to that moment in particular. I’ve already seen some sadness that loki’s decision has left him alone and while it is true to a degree, I see it differently.

he is alone but in love. in love with his choice to see those he loves happy. in love with what was clearly a clue (the identical zoom, mobius’s echoing voice) telling us he’s watching over from afar. that, of all the infinite time he could be witness to, he chooses to witness those he loves. he chooses to honor his choice but refuse to stop caring.

I understand where it could be a disheartening end and maybe we’ll get another season but something tells me - by the significance of those last few shots - that there is something truly powerful and poignant left out there for us for both loki and mobius (and actually all of the friends loki made his choice for)

long story short - I really love knowing loki continues to watch over mobius and his friends. and maybe someday we’ll find out that he isn’t limited to just watching

I actually really really liked the scene with Loki going back to his first conversation with Mobius (in addition to the fact that faced with the question to kill Sylvie, his first thought was to ask Mobius about it)

Going back to the time and place where Mobius knew everything about Loki’s past, present and future, but this time the playing field is level, Loki also knowing everything about Mobius’ past, present and future. I really liked it
