they both have this incredibly nosy streak and an inability to stay out of situations if they think they can improve them. they are both fuelled by the need to do what is right and if no one else is gonna do it then by god they will.
"i care so much that i have to do something about it" is a fundamental tim and lois trait. "a locked door just means you have something to hide and i will find it" is also a fundamental tim and lois trait.
they are so similar. i NEED lois to get her hands on tim. i need them to get into hijinks and shenanigans together and i need clark and kon to look at each other and go "jesus christ there's TWO of them now?" as they hurry to go put out a fire. i need lois to hone and refine tim's hubristic streak and i need tim to enable her nosy snooping tendencies. tim & lois could be something beautiful. does anyone hear me. hi for the love of god hello is anyone listening

tim is insane, but not for the reasons you think! blah blah blowing up the league of assassins—no. tim is insane because he is able to fall in love with someone for years on end without even telling them. he would literally die for kon, but he’s not about to admit it out loud (because then he could lose him and that’s not a risk he’s willing to take). tim will follow someone to the ends of the earth out of love and expect no love in return. and okay, maybe i can’t stop thinking about those panels in New 52 Teen Titans where kon confesses his love to cassie moments after accepting his fate. only to turn around and realize, with slight surprise, that tim is shaking. he’s shaking and his voice is unsteady and he’s pounding fists against kon’s chest, and then he’s sinking to the ground. the little wide-eyed look on kon’s face is what GETS me, because he doesn’t flinch at the first punch. he expects it. tim is the leader of the teen titans and he’s determined to keep them together—he’s fighting for kon just as he would fight for anyone else on the team. but then kon sees the tears welling in his eyes and how he clings to his arm and the desperation in his voice. and he looks down at this boy who’s falling apart in front of him and suddenly thinks, oh, this is something more. it always has been something more, for tim. and it’s too late. but yeah, anyway. tim will secretly worship that boy until the day he dies
