Rotary has been doing amazing work for the community and Rotarians have been spearheading the cause of Rotary living by the motto ‘SERVICE ABOVE SELF’ One such lovely project was conceptualised by Rotary Club of Bombay, executed by Rotary Club of Palghar and lead well by Rtn Bhagwan Patil Amit Patil and Pankaj Maheshwari as the main resource person. It was my pleasure to be at Palghar as the Guest of Honour for the felicitation ceremony of the Dental Surgeons who selflessly carried out this initiative with sincerity and dedication. MGM Dental College supported this project with 30 Doctors working for 3 days examining 1500 patients and treating more than 1100 patients. DG Sandip Agarwalla had conceptualised this highly impactful project and has got this executed with utmost perfection. My dear friend @peekay__official got installed as the President of Rotary Club of Mumbai Borivili East on the 8th of August 2022. #obesity is a huge medical problem and has surpassed Cancer and Cardiac diseases to be considered the No 1 cause of Preventable death. Obesity cause #diabetes , #heardisease , #hypertension , #obstructivesleepapnea , #breathlessness on exertion and many more medical problems, but most horrifying is the fact that it causes #cancer too. #bariatric surgery not only reduces the obesity but, also decreases the incidence of cancer in an individual. Friends, May and June have been the most exhaustive but satisfying years of my Rotary journey. Have been invited to more than 75 clubs in @rotarydist3141 in Directors Orientation Programme (DOP) to guide and interact with incoming Presidents and Board of Directors on various topics which would assist them in running their club effectively in Rotary year 22-23. One of the topics which I was invited the most was PR and Promotion for Rotary. I am walking the talk friends. All my social media profiles now have a Rtn before my name suggesting that I am a Proud Rotarian. It was a pleasure to be invited to @rotaryclubofqueensnecklace for a DOP (Director’s Orientation Programme) for the incoming Board of Directors of Rotary year 22-23 as a faculty to speak on PR and Marketing. Now, this is a club which is one of the most mature clubs in Rotary District 3141. Does projects worth INR 30-40 Crores every year. So, ideas were very clear. There is nothing u can teach them. They are already the best in everything. So, a nice interaction on some points on PR and marketing enaured that we had a meaningful discussion and came up with certain important points and take aways which could be beneficial for the club.
