simply cannot ever resist what i call the little mermaid or the tin man or the pinnochio plot, the one about a character who is either inhuman or human but outside in some way, constantly searching for whatever it is that they consider to be the quintessential proof of humanity, preoccupied by it so deeply that they fail to realize the proof is in the act and fact of the search itself
PAIN AND TORTURE AND MISERY AND AGONY AND SUFFERING AND TORMENT AND HORROR AND DESPAIR AND
they thought they were soooooo funny for this didn't they. what the fuck. they really just showed me this scene and expected me to stay normal for the rest of my life. wa haht thef uck
I’m so emotional about dinosaur stuffed animals,,, there are these creatures, extinct long before any of us were alive, but we found their bones and their eggs and their footprints. And we made drawings and models of what they could’ve looked like. And we made them into stuffed animals so we could hold them. We made them soft so we could love them. I’m sobbing
talking to people while holding a beverage is awesome because you don't have to know what to do with your hands and when you don't know what to do with your face you can just take a sip
That feeling when your body is requesting something but you're not sure what so you just start eating and drinking random stuff to try and figure it out
My friend explained the spoon theory to our DM and he was like “ohhh so it’s like when you’re out of spell slots and you need to take a long rest to regain them all” and now I keep thinking of myself as being out of spell slots instead of out of spoons
being an og mcyt stan who left for a while and then came back during the resurgence is so funny because inthelittlewood exists on two completely different planes of existence for me. my brain, for whatever reason, cannot fathom that the guy creating a narrative in which he is trapped in a death game, tormented by gods far beyond our comprehension and the knowledge that he can never again serve the king he swore himself to, is the same guy who sang screw the nether
one way i deal with sanjis whole 'wont hit women' schitk is by treating it like how someone from a family of alcoholics who never drinks alcohol. sure, you might have the control to not over indulge or become addicted, but that *fear* is always there in the back of your head... sanji forever fears becoming like the vinsmokes, who beat and abuse innocent women (aka sora and cosette), so by having this one thing, this nice, clean line in the sand, helps him feel more in control of himself. and why thinking he hit that woman in wano was so terrifying
of course, its two-fold with it also being a papa zeff-based ideal, but yeah :) sanji is a good boy with lotsa trauma, but he makes do
it's a good way to think of it! I've always said Sanji's reluctance to hit women does not come from his own beliefs of women being above or below him, it's due to his fears of rejection if he ever did hit a woman. He really is scared even a single hit will make him spiral
i love luffy and robin's dynamic so much. Like people make a lot of posts about how luffy and zoro are on the same wavelength and I love it everytime. But luffy and robin are so on the same page too. That scene where luffy's like me and robin can't swim so... and robin's imagining them sitting on usopp and zoro's back swimming across the river with a sunny background is one of my absolute favourites XD. And when they are chained up in a cage and they are the only two people smiling cause it's reminding them of the good old times when robin caged the strawhats. And when she feeds him her lunch. And that art where luffy's feeding cola to a fish while robin's smiling. I want more of them!!!
they're so funny because they're both weirdos ddfggjd but also because they've both been taught to laugh through stressful things! So the two of them just stand there and smile together HAHA
