Hey I just wanted to say well done for your amazing theory about Ty Lee in the murder mystery story by our friend @juniperhillpatient , you deserve a lot of credit for figuring that out!

I actually had guessed the killers correctly by Chapter 4, but then 'the coffin of Yue and Ty Lee' threw the spanner in the works of my theory... or so it seemed, until I read your theory on Ty Lee and her sisters! Great job, you're such an attentive reader!

In all seriousness though, thank you! Your stories and @juniperhillpatient are absolutely amazing. And as such deserving of mine (and everyone else’s) complete attention. Azutara combined with your prose and @juniperhillpatient make it so!

Speaking of that, expect my ask/review of Azula kitchen nightmare Chap 29 momentarily. Spoiler: I enjoyed it immensely!

Edit: I also forgot to mention in the review @theowritesfiction that I also know that you like Baldurs gate 3. By random chance (or the will of the algorithm) I found two You Tube shorts . I don’t know anything about BGIII really, so I don’t know how accurate of builds they are. They seem pretty okay. Even though the You Tubers little quip about Azula “losing her mind” pisses me off something awful.

The fic itself is amazing, and I enjoy the premise and its execution. Dragon Fire family is adorable. Also frightening in certain contexts. I especially enjoyed chapter V. Katara becoming a blushy mess and becoming distracted whenever Azula is nearby, is awesome to read.

And so was Katara being accosted for her rather obvious “crush” by the (proto?) Gaang in chapter X.

I’m also glad to hear that Azula becomes the most powerful Firebender eventually. A combination of hard work and natural talent. Best girl deserves it. Especially because she marries (in future) the most powerful Water bender. It’s destiny.

Oh I’ve also got another question. From what I can tell, the dragon family are all Firebenders in dragon form, in human form, and when they are half way in between. Including Ursa? So does that mean when Sokka marries Zuko and becomes a frost/water dragon of sorts, does the curse/blessing turn him into a Waterbender via spirit manipulation of the dragon curse?

A funny scene just came to mind, where after an argument leaves both Azula and Katara partially transformed. They make up and make out as it were. Thing is, with the two being partially transformed their dragon “breath” both Fire and Frost is somewhat active. This causes the two forces to meet between their lips. Steam then makes its near overwhelming presence known to the two of them. Causing laughter and more kissing despite the difficulties.

But hey, that’s what a combination of love, overwhelming sexual attraction, and frustration from an argument between part dragons can cause.

Loving the story, and I can’t wait for the next chapter @waterfire1848 !!!

You know I just realized something, but Azula (partially) gets the Yoda treatment in your fic “it’s a blessing and a curse”. I means she’s the smallest of the dragons, nor is she the strongest, but Azula is probably the fastest and the most powerful Fire bender of the bunch (sorry Ozai but you know it’s true).

I also have a question, say Katara marries Azula when the curse is still active, would she become some sort of water, ice, and/or frost dragon? Same thing with Sokka and Zuko?

Hey @745voiceofthepeople!! It's been a minute! How are you?

Azula isn't the strongest firebender YET but she will become the strongest. She's already the fastest though because she's smaller and slender, especially when she's younger she's a very fast little dragon.

I don't want to give too many spoilers but yes. I do plan on having Katara and Sokka became dragons alongside Azula and Zuko. The final (two?) chapters will be kind of a leap into the future where we get to see the two ships get married, have kids and will also see Katara and Sokka adjusting to being part dragon now. That being said, I don't know what kind of dragons they'll be. Now that you say water, ice/frost I kind of want to give them an ability aside from firebreathing, both to show off their WT roots and to show that the curse can adapt.

Elsewhere, Yueki bonding is starting to take place and Mai takes steps to get over her failing relationship with Zuko.

“What is this room?” Rhaenyra asked as she inspected the pillars, seeing that each one had three sides to it. 

“A puzzle room,” Jaime said excitedly. “Most of these temples have it…I’m sure there are probably a few more here in Bleak Falls Barrow.” As she spoke she pointed toward the doorway that led out of the room. Rhaenyra turned and saw that it was barred with a metal gate. 

“A puzzle room?” Rhaenyra asked, sounding puzzled herself. She turned back to the pillars, her eyebrows furrowing together as she quickly pieced together what Jaime was saying. “We have to solve this puzzle to get out?”

“Yes!”

“And let me guess, if we solve the puzzle wrong we end up like that poor bastard on the floor?” Jaime nodded her head. 

“Luckily for us this is one of the simpler ones.” She said happily. “At least it appears simple to me.”

“You think so?”

Jaime nodded as she pointed to the faces on the wall and the one of the ground. “Look, those images are identical to the ones on those pillars. We have to match these patterns to the pillars and then pull the lever to open the gate.”

“Have you done this in other ruins before?”

“I have,” Jaime chirped. “And in looking at it, I think we have to do; snake, snake, whale.” Rhaenyra frowned as she glanced up at the ceiling.

“Are you sure it isn’t; whale, snake, snake?”

“Hmm,” Jaime stepped back as she looked at the heads. “Well, it’s hard to say because this head has fallen onto the ground. But if it was up on the walls here then it would go; snake, snake, whale from left to right - in the same way the pillars are positioned.” 

Rhaenyra considered it for a moment before shrugging and taking a large step back. “If you're so confident then we’ll go with snake, snake, whale.”

“Really?”

“Really. It is your life after all.” Rhaenyra informed. “Because I’m not pulling the lever.”

Alphas against nature.

When both Alphas saw each other they immediately wanted to rip out the other's neck.

When Azula ignored Katara to pursue the Avatar, Katara immediately became angry with jealousy, but pretended not to know for whom.

When both Alphas were alone fighting, they knew it wasn't a mistake to mark each other, but they pretended it was.

Both Alphas can't help but get excited at the idea of dominating another, or letting themselves be dominated.

When they had their routine, the only name that came out in whispers and grunts was each other's.

When they hurt each other in war, their hearts ached for doing it.

When Azula had her mental breakdown, her Alpha couldn't help but cry.

At the asylum, Azula punched Katara, yelling at her to leave while her Alpha simply stood still as a rock, refusing to leave.

How does Azula mark Katara and vice versa? Where are their respective brands?

In the fight, both accidentally mark each other while one was on top of the other, trying to dominate the one below, possibly having their marks on their necks due to the position.

Do they switch between who is the more dominant partner between them? How do they switch?

Both are dominant by nature, but they love being versatile, even if they don't want to admit it.

Do they get each other pregnant?

Katara was the one who carried her children, she always wanted to have that connection that many Omegas have with their babies, while Azula had no problems because she would feel strange having a child inside her.

How does war affect us? Do Azula and Katara just start "coupling" in the middle of a battle?

Both continue to fight each other, at first with resentment and then their dynamic changes due to the brand. They were still fighting, but not as fiercely because they both felt bad for hurting their Alpha, although they pretended not to know why.
