i think a lot of white queer/trans people need to hear that "breaking gender norms" isnt just wearing a dress while masc or dying your hair. its also unlearning the beauty standards that impose ideals of white beauty and attractiveness on non-white folks. yes you have a nose ring but i just heard you tell your black friend with meticulously cared for natural hair "you'd just look so nice with straight hair is all im saying..." why does your blog fetishizing i mean uh. appreciating trans women only feature skinny white women who pass. when societal gender norms are so inextricably tied to whiteness and emulating whiteness it is not enough to simply change your aesthetic. you need to defy the gender norms in your own head too.

Everyone always talks about how tough and cold and mean The Outsiders characters are. Everyone will discuss the crimes they've committed and the things they've stolen a thousand times over, but we never get enough of the soft stuff. Soda laying his head on Darry's lap to fall asleep? Darry calling Ponyboy "honey"?? Soda calling him "baby"??? We don't talk about these parts of the book enough.

I don't have any strong opinions about humanstuck trolls except that the dating drama in Karkat's friend group has to be utterly fucking insane. I mean convoluted enough that if asked Karkat brings out a white board just to explain it all. like you need a doctoral level dissertation just to explain what's even going on here

why does postcanon davekat always make karkat the bureaucratic genius while making dave the trophy art husband. are we forgetting the fact that at age 13 dave strider had enough of a working knowledge of economics to not only ensure an infinite cash flow of boondollars for the session but purposefully crash the stock market of an entire planet. dave should be doing paperwork right alongside Karkat and rapping about the budget to both inform and annoy the snot out of his boyfriend
