The thing that breaks me about the new chapter is it seems like it may be Oda dumping his feelings about being a parent to his daughter, which is heartbreakingly sweet.

He only sees her weekly, staying at the studio during the rest of the week away from family. It’s sad but, I suspect Kuma is not just a tragic story and perhaps a very heartfelt letter of love as well.

The love and the acts of love that are shown are being written by a father with a love for his daughter; it makes it all the way more heartbreaking to know he probably puts himself in Kuma’s shoes.

head slapping moment when i realise that the way alana and margot's dressing styles begin changing to reflect the other in s3 is about how they're "blurring" as well.

in the commentary bryan fuller said margot's choice in fashion was a form of self protection from a life of trauma - high collars, spikes, harsh outlines and updos. while the alana in s1 who was still emotionally open and gentle, preferred to wear wrap dresses.

alana begins to dress like margot after her traumatic ordeal in mizumono and becomes more ruthless and self involved, and margot begins to dress like alana because she doesn't feel she has to be on guard at all times - she's found someone who she can share her burdens with.
