i find a lot of joy in watching other people commit to strange projects completely sincerely. its admirable to find so much joy in the act of creation even when the outcome is awkward, amateur, or perhaps cringe, and to be unrelenting about it in spite of how easily it leads to ridicule. and then theres a lot of underlying skill and dedication that goes into things like this too that people really fail to consider. yknow like the compositing and video editing with high-concept crossover MEPs/AMVs, like, that shit genuinely takes hours and can really showcase how much someone knows their way around a video editor. terrible taste in music though.

one of the reasons i dont like to use my name-name in online spaces is just that i know smart enough people could use it to look me up, because like, i used to do that as an aggro teenager and it is ridiculous how many people dont think about it. attaching a name with a specific username especially, since people tend to reuse the same online handles over and over again. sometimes even me using very vague monikers makes me anxious, because admittedly it is a lot more convenient to have a small set of things for people to refer to you by.

then in general i just prefer to be thought of as an abstract presence rather than a person.
