Bob & Marion from Amanda Bluglass on Vimeo.
“It’s the agony and the ecstasy,” reflect Marion (78) and Bob Luker (81). An intimate portrait of a lifetime's marathon running, set against Dartmoor's epic landscape.
When Bob Luker decided to try his first distance run after turning forty, he got the running bug, and so did his wife Marion. Once they tried one, they couldn’t stop. Half a lifetime later, they’ve run more marathons and ultras than they can remember. Bob calculates he’s run the equivalent of twice round the world at the equator. “Christ! I’m 80 years old and I’m still out running. Beat that!”

THIS LAND from Faith E. Briggs on Vimeo.
Runner and advocate Faith E. Briggs used to run through the streets of Brooklyn every morning. Now, she’s running 150 miles through three U.S. National Monuments that lay in the thick of the controversy around public lands. Accompanied by running companions who represent diverse perspectives in what it means to be a public land owner, she assesses what is at stake if previously protected lands are reduced and if the public is largely unaware. THIS LAND is a story about land access told through a journey of inclusion and empowerment.
Directed by Chelsea Jolly and Whit Hassett Produced by Faith E. Briggs, Mellifera Collective Edited by Ryan Miyamoto, Olivia Abtahi Animation by Yeshe Parks, Faith E. *AS SEEN ON OPRAH WINFREY'S SUPERSOUL SUNDAY 3 March 2019*
Why do we put ourselves into the path of discomfort and risk? What drives us to get too cold and too tired, to battle with fear, in the name of adventure? Follow the originators of The Outdoor Swimming Society, ‘swim twins’ Kate Rew and Kari Furre, in this hauntingly beautiful glimpse at the physicality of UK cold water swimming, as two friends set out to chase the sublime. Seaweed Collector from RendezWood? on Vimeo.
Seaweed Collector A Connection Between Two Worlds
Between land and sea is a visible boundary that connects these two worlds, the beach. Within this area of high and low tides live many magnificent creatures. The Seaweed Collector is a compartment and knife, a materialistic object that creates interest in collecting seaweed on the beach. This product encourages a work procedure which protects the seaweed and leads to respect towards the material.
Made out of locally produced Icelandic Birch wood, hemp and stainless steel.

seaweed farmer | nusa lembongan from the noun collective on Vimeo.
Nusa Lembongan is a small island located southeast of Bali where the main income for the population is derived from seaweed farming.
One afternoon during our explorations, we spontaneously came across a family of seaweed farmers bringing in their harvest to dry.
Despite the language barrier, we managed to have a chat to them about what they do and the kind of life it makes for them.

Nobody Dies in Longyearbyen from MEL Films on Vimeo.
"They say that when you're hit by the polar bug, you never leave." Don't say we didn't warn you.
Nobody dies in Longyearbyen, or so goes the rumor. We went to the northernmost city in the world to find out why, and stumbled into the first act of a science fiction flick about something deadly, long buried in the permafrost.

Look Up from MEL Films on Vimeo.
High-stakes arboreal therapy for the nature deficit disorder you probably have.
Once a year, adventurous arborist and tree climbing instructor, Tim Kovar takes a select few on a climb up one of the tallest tress in the world — a summit he says less people have attempted than Mt. Everest. For an unforgettable way to battle nature deficit disorder and re-connect with the Earth, we purchased a couple carabiners and brought way too much camera equipment 180 feet up an 850-year-old California redwood called “Grandfather” to see how squirrels dream.
Whatever happens, don't forget to look up.
