Theory Time? It's more likely than you think
So this little boyo just had his details revealed

VJMP-JP201 Astral Kuriboh Fiend/Effect, LIGHT, Level 1, ATK/DEF 100 You can only use the 1st effect of this card’s name once per turn. (1) You can reveal 1 “Number” Xyz Monster in your Extra Deck; Special Summon this card from your hand, and if you do, its Level becomes equal to the revealed monster’s Rank, but you cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck while you control this face-up monster Summoned this way, except “Number” Xyz Monsters. (2) A “Number” monster Xyz Summoned using this card on the field as material gains this effect. ● Cannot be destroyed by battle or your opponent’s card effects.
Kinda interesting that *Astral* Kuriboh is a heckin' *Fiend* monster and not like... Fairy?
For anyone not aware, in Japanese, Fiend monsters are known as "Demon" while Fairy monsters are "Angel", so the implication here is that this little Astral Kuriboh is a Light Demon?
And before you might say that "Kuriboh has always been a Fiend monster" mmm... I'd like to point out that not all of them have always been Fiend type.
Clear Kuriboh (Fairy), Junkuriboh (Machine), Linguriboh (Cyberse), Linkuriboh (Cyberse) (yes, there are two of them. no, I didn't misspell them), Winged Kuriboh (Fairy), Kuribon (Fairy), and Kurivolt (Thunder) have all shared a different type than the OG Kuriboh.
What's really interesting to note though, is that there are three other Kuribohs who share the same type and attribute as Astral Kuriboh:
Kuribohrn

Rainbow Kuriboh

and Kuriphoton

Photon and Rainbow both made their débuts in Zexal, but Bohrn was released back in 2016, way after Zexal had ended in Japan.
Sooo... what can this tell us? Well, one of two things really:
Either a) being "Astral" does not override a Kuriboh's inherent demonic nature/origin
or b) the "Astral" property is more inherently demonic than it is Angelic
