#asks #custom cards #this one's very much a mechanics-first card idea rather than flavor-first #that's why i had some trouble naming it #like. what's happening when you play this card? who knows #but gaining temporary control of an opponents creature and being given a built-in way to sacrifice it (by paying mana) is neat design space #but since eating a food requires tapping you have to choose between attacking your opponent with it or sacrificing it #so it's kinda like a modal card #play it as either a Threaten or a Lich's Caress #i could maybe fiddle around with the sacrifice cost to make it more interesting #like having it cost 3 mana but not require a tap #but eh i'll just stick to the classic food effect #you could also use food synergies but since the card requires red it's hard to run in an actual food deck #maybe artifact sacrifice? that's black red #i'd love playing this in my Oni-Cult Anvil deck and getting to attack with the creature and then sac it for free
