im gonna get so much shit for this if i post this on twt so im just gonna say it here and not tag it so

i CANNOT believe some people see izzy as the VICTIM in this scenario, throwing domestic abuse around like that isnt a serious fucking thing and calling ed the abuser and comparing him to his father like how delusional do you have to BE to think like that.

and saying things like 'dont make statements such as izzy deserved this bc abuse survivors will see it and think it applies to them' like no dude id NEVER excuse any kind of abuse but what izzy is experiencing rn is indeed his own damn fault, hes facing the consequences of his bullshit actions, this IS what he wanted and i dont care how much he whines and whimpers.

im NOT against a redemption arc for him as long as its done right (which i believe will be done right bc i trust dj and co). him breaking out of the toxic masculinity cycle would be a great arc and very exciting especially if the stede and the crew are helping him (as we've kind of seen in that little vid), but he needs to realize his fucking mistakes and those should NOT be excused.

obviously ed isnt perfect (yes he is) but he is hurting on multiple levels AND his life was threatened by izzy before he snapped and people need to realize that that IS izzy's fault.

and just in like parentheses bc im white and dont really have a say in this but it looks very Bad(tm) - dont accuse a brown man as a domestic abuser when hes literally defending his life against a white man who has threatened him?????
