It’s as quiet as it can be, erupting forth from the baritone tomb of his chest, gilded in flecks of sequestered, raw emotion. Not as bold as his hands, how they reach for throats and break bone, not as loud as his battle cry. No, his sentiment is muted because he isn’t entirely certain of it, whether or not what he feels is selfish or logical or anything else he could possibly be accustomed to.

     “You are not ready.” Khan isn’t so sure, but he’s– he is a miserly creature. Who is he to say? She’s lived this long, made her own way, fought her own battles before he’d ruined her with his presence. Rey was undoubtedly able and fierce enough to hold her own. Perhaps he was afraid that as soon as she left, she wouldn’t return. Loneliness he could stomach; just not loss.

Name: A’den Singh (named after a friend from Khan’s pre-freeze era, meaning “wrath” or “rage” in Mando’a. this is still better than his initial desire to name the poor kid after an ancient sith lord, which Rey thankfully nipped in the bud right away) 

Gender: Male

General Appearance:  There’s a series of freckles that decorate his skin, subtle until hit with the right light. Hazel eyes from his mother notice everything. Dark hair, though short, splays in every direction because what child believes in brushing their hair? Taller than most children his age, he has long and lanky limbs with lean muscle from sparring with his parents. (Bonus: young fc / older fc) 

Personality: He’s an introverted lone-warrior type. Because neither of his parents are stellar with handling emotions, he was raised not knowing how to express himself very well. Likely due to Khan’s genetic nature and Rey’s temper, he’d rather settle everything with a fight. That being said, he does have an innate understanding of justice and valor and always seeks to protect those who need it the most. 

Special Talents: Proficient with hand-to-hand combat.

Who they like better: Rey, of course.

Who they take after more: Khan, in the way that he’s analytical and sometimes more logical than emotional.

Personal Headcanon: Neither of them planned for him, and both Rey and Khan were rightfully terrified at the prospect of having a tiny human to raise into a better person than they each regarded themselves as. That being said, both of them adore him entirely– and one another– though they both might be a tad overprotective at times.
