-- Drabble: Looming Death

The scent of human filled the wood and the Pack was restless. This was not their territory -- not by any means -- but the beings within it were at risk. Four special beings who might as well be apart of his Pack. Taking on Zoroark form and raising onto his hind legs, he opened his mouth to inhale the scent as well as determine how far away the burrow Juno and his family occupied was. They didn’t need to know any of this was going on and so landing on all fours, he gave a look to his sister who gave a small nod and headed in that direction with some Zorua flanking her.

Once she was gone, some Zoroark flanked the Alpha as he made his way forward and followed the path directly towards the woman who had long gotten lost by now. Tracking her slowly with the Zorua scouting ahead, it wasn’t long before her mutterings filled the air. He said nothing but he gave the order to surround her and soon enough he was a shadow looming over her.

“Juno my little girl... Mommy is coming to find you...--” She pauses and looks up, seeing the silhouette of a single large form overshadowing her, but before she can scream, the pack descends on her with not even her screams able to reach the air.

She was no more.
