Given the bajillion different interpretations of vampires out there, in your opinion which flaw is the most fundamental to them and should be present in every adaptation?

#vampires #poll #very important question pls respond #not including decapitation. everything is vulnerable to decapitation they're not special. #well okay hydras aren't vulnerable to it but MOST things #aside from that i think this is most of the big ones #honorable mention to the ''has to count grains of salt'' flaw. can you imagine a story that includes vampires and that's their only weaknes #i was thinking of adding ''always falls in tragic love with a young mortal'' but i don't know any interpretations where that's always true #...i say even though i also know there are some vampires for whom pretty much none of these are the case #like in twilight i think none of these apply. they can live off animal blood right? i haven't read it. not to say they aren't valid. #wait do twilight vampires have reflections? #anyway my personal favorite is the invitations one but i think blood and sunlight are usually higher priorities for me
