Last year, we asked LGBTQ+ youth: what's your idea of a "queer utopia?"

Not gonna lie - with more than 150 bills introduced in 35 states in 2023 that aimed to restrict student access to inclusive and diverse books and other library materials, the theme felt pretty radical.

And you DELIVERED. With the help of our Youth Voices (amazing queer youth activists from across the country), we compiled your amazing submissions of poetry, short essays and letters, visual art, photography, and more into Queerbook 2024. Like a yearbook, it captures what queer youth are feeling, going through, and hoping for - right here, right now across the U.S.

It's also no accident that it's the perfect small-ish size to stash in your locker or backpack so you can crack it open any time you're looking for some queer connection. :3

Headcannon : The Drider

Petra's transformation into the Drider was not caused deliberately, but as a result of her body mutating further from the original spider-bite that gave her powers. Spider-woman turned to her friends for aid. Unfortunately, her initial attempt to cure herself resulted in her growing the four new spider like appendages , the accelerated mutation subsequently causing her to mutate into the Drider after fighting her friends. The mutated Spider-Woman retained some of her memories and her emotional responses to seeing her loved ones (or people who reminded her of them), but could not communicate with them, causing her to retreat from each incident. she certainly retained Spider-Man's heroic nature; perceiving what she was doing was wrong. she eventfully was able to revert back to her regular form but with more spider powers like organic webbing, being able to produce venom and claw like finger tips which she rarely ever uses as she goes against her heroic nature.
