When you don't answer, he starts to become impatient.  He crouches down in front of you and taps on his expensive watch.
"Well little one? You need to make a choice, we haven't got all day.  I'll give you five seconds before I choose for you.  If I have to do that it'll be a coin flip between coming with us and getting killed. Five…"
Your mind begins racing. You don't want to die!
"Four…"
It was hard enough to get that job but even then, it barely paid enough to pay rent and groceries.
"Three…"
There isn't even enough in your savings to last a month.
"Two…" He reaches into his pocket for a quarter.
And even though Felix treats you like family, he is unforgiving when it comes to rent.
"One…" He puts down the pistol behind him and positions the quarter to flip it.
"Stop."  You reach out and cover the quarter before he can flip it.
"Cutting it a bit close there little one.  What did you choose?"
You glance at Felix over Chan's shoulder.  He seems nervous, bordering on scared.  That alone makes you question your decision but Chan is getting impatient again.
"I'll go with you…"
Felix seems to relax, but not completely.  Is Chan really bad enough that even the idea of you living with him is scary?
"You're the first one to ever pick that option, even when it wasn't offered by me.  All those other secretaries saw or heard things they shouldn't have and were given the same choices, although not by me," Chan states, a satisfied smile slowly appearing on his face as he picks up his gun and holds the other hand out to help you up.
Hesitantly, you take his hand and he pulls you to your feet.  The five inch heels paired with the shock of everything that has already happened today makes you unsteady so, noticing this, Chan hands his pistol to Felix and scoops you into his arms.  Carefully, he carries you down the stairs to the very clearly expensive car now waiting in the driveway.  Felix opens one of the doors and Chan gently places you in the seat before going to the other side and seating himself.  When you make no move to buckle yourself in, he leans over and reaches across to do it himself, his face only an inch away from your own.  Once he is sure that you're secured, he seats himself again, ignoring your quickly reddening face.
Felix and Jisung climb into the row behind the two of you and Chan tells the man in the driver's seat to bring everyone home.  Sometime between the car beginning to move and dropping off the other two boys, you drift into a light sleep.  By the time you wake up the car is pulling into the circular drive of an ocean view mansion.
"Did you enjoy your nap little one?"
Too much in awe of the elegant house you simply nod, not turning away from the window until you hear Chan getting out of the car.  Snapped from your gawking, you fumble to unbuckle.  As you do, Chan opens your door and holds out a hand again.  He helps you out of the car with ease now that your legs are able to hold your weight more effectively.  It's only then that you realize that this must be his house.
He patiently leads you into the house, leading while he lets you take in your new surroundings.  As he walks you up one of the twin staircases you can't help but look out the window spanning both floors.  Out of it you can see the private beach a short walk away as well as a large in-ground pool in the backyard.  You don't get to see much else unfortunately, because at the top of the staircase he leads you to the left.
The walls in the hall are bare so you turn your attention to your new housemate.  From the back, you can only really see his light brown hair and all black clothes, but earlier you had noticed a lip ring and relatively fresh scar across the bridge of his nose.  If anything, those details only made him look more handsome.  You mentally scold yourself for that thought.  This is only for survival reasons, Y/N!  Get it together!  He could kill you in a heartbeat!
At the end of the hall, he opens a door, leads you in, and gives you a moment to observe.  The room itself is larger than your whole apartment.  The queen sized bed in the center has been made neatly with very soft-looking white sheets.  A black quilt is folded across the foot of the bed and the top half is covered in matching pillows.  On the far side is a long black, velvet couch lined with pearly white pillows.  A shorter couch, this one gray with assorted pillows in shades, sits at the end of the bed across from a large, wall-mounted flat-screen TV.  Next to that is a door that you can only assume leads to a private bathroom.  Closer to the two of you is a lounge matching the color scheme of the rest of the room.
When you finally look back at Chan, he is also looking at you, waiting to speak, “This is your room.  Feel free to arrange and decorate it as you see fit.  Felix is going to bring over some stuff from your apartment tomorrow.  My room is across the hall.  I recommend staying away from the other side of this floor unless you are wanting to see illegal stuff.  If you need something and can’t find me downstairs or in my room, I’m probably in my office.  It’s the room at the end of the hall on the right side of this floor.  The only doors that are normally closed are my room and the ones on the other side of this floor.  If one of those doors is closed, knock.  If no one answers, don’t open the door.  Feel free to explore all the other rooms.  I hire a chef but you can still cook for yourself if you prefer.  When you find the basement door, the laundry room is right at the bottom of the stairs but don’t go past that room.  I really don’t care what you do other than that as long as you don’t leave the property alone.  There are sometimes parties downstairs.  I’ll let you know ahead of time so you can get anything you need for the night.  If you decide to attend the parties, I can have someone take you shopping.  Don’t accept a drink from anyone at the parties that I don’t introduce you to, even if you watched it get made.  I would appreciate it if you stay in here for the rest of the day.  Someone will bring up lunch and dinner later.  There are other people living here and I want to make sure they know their rules before they ever see you so you don’t get hurt, alright little one?”
After his little speech, all you can do is nod.  He smiles softly at you and backs out of the room.  Just before he closes the door, he pops his head back in to speak, “I’ll be back later and we can get to know each other then.  Until then little one.”
